Faction Champ -----

Provides an easy system to scan, mark, and announce the Faction Champions in Trial of the Crusader.

This is an extremely light-weight addon that will only activate when the Faction Champions are present.

When it pops up, simply hit the 'scan' button.

All the NPCs will be loaded into memory and you will be able to see what classes and roles you are facing.

Click on the marks on the Right side of the frame to change them, then click the 'Mark' button to display them on the mobs.

A clear button is provided to clear all the marks, as well as an announce button. The announce button will say, in raid chat, the various classes you are fighting as well as their marks.

Great mod but if we change the marks and rescan and announce it does not pick up the changes in the marks.

the addon doesn't "clear" and the shaman does not show on the addon. Only the shaman is not shown. can you fix this? i have the latest one 11/3/09

  • The horde shams really don't like you do they, I found another typo, the Enh Sham isn't being picked up for Horde either.

The name should be "Shaabad" while the mod has him listed as "Saabad"

Thanks to conundrum's post I fixed it myself but I figure i'd let ya know!

Sorry, like I said I got this from Wikipedia.

I don't see how it is possible the Wiki is spelled wrong (gasp) but I'll make the changes.

Every other mob is being piked up correctly right?

  • Great mod except I've been having a problem. The mod doesn't seem to be recognizing all of the NPC's. I've tested it on both 10 and 25's and it just doesn't seem to pick up the Resto Shaman. I've tried getting closer then hitting scan but he still didn't show up. Any tips for a fix?

Oh, the shaman thing was my main focus, I forget if other NPC's weren't recognized as well. I'll edit this if I find more.

I'm horde btw so I don't know if that matters.

Doesn't pick up the resto shaman.... interesting.

I am Alliance and have only been able to test it on my side.

I'll look into it and see if the Shaman's name is mis-spelled.

    Thanks for the heads up.

  • On line #15 in the {"Shaman (Heal/Caster)", "Shaamul", "Thrakgar"},
    should be
    {"Shaman (Heal/Caster)", "Saamul", "Thrakgar"},

    Great addon BTW. :)

Hey all. Just wanted to chime in.
Works great in 10 man but in 25 man i get the same responses as Valjean.
And no, not in combat. it activates just before they jump down. I hit scan, it does, i hit mark and it dose. I hit announce and i get the error.
    Any thoughts yet?

Someone mentioned about too many lines happening too quickly. maybe? there are more ads on 25 than 10 man of course. Some built in safe guard maybe? Just a thought.

Hope ya get it worked out. :-)
