Face Smasher
Version 2.03
What is it:
A priority system for Death Knights. It analyzes your runes and runic power, as well as the status of your diseases, and suggests what you should be casting next.
It gives up to 5 separate suggests. The middle (largest) suggestion is for single target max dps. The right suggestion is for AoE dps/tanking. The left suggest is a defensive suggestion. The mid-left suggestion is for Rune Strike / Horn of Winter, and the mid-right suggestion is for spell interruption. You still have to pick which direction you want to go at the moment, but Face Smasher tries to show you your best options.
This does not replace your spell bars. This addon is not click-able or bind-able in any way, nor will it ever be. It's a mere suggestion.
Now should support all languages. Full notes under Changes. Feedback on non-English languages would be appreciated as I don't have a way to test it.
To click through the addon, go into the options and lock it into place. You can then target mobs etc right through it
I'm adding a paypal donate button. I know the economy sucks, and we all play WoW, but I figure it can't hurt to try. I work a full time job, am married, and try to balance everything. Keeping this updated (sometimes when I'm not currently playing WoW) is sometimes a very thankless task.

2.0.3 Update -
- Support for new Unholy spec. If you have 0/2 epidemic and SS talent choices, this mode will trigger. It will basically lead you along the 'rotation' of ps->it->ss->bs->bs->dc->dc. If lag, running from certain death, picking your nose, etc, cause you to get off the rotation... it will pull you back on track within a few cycles. I suggest changing the setting "blood over unholy+frost" to unchecked. Also you should be using Bone Shield but that's on you for now.
- Will suggest horn if and only if you have nothing better to do (free global).
- If you have HB glyph, it will use suggest HB for frost fever and never suggest IT.
- Added back the "ignore PS" option if you roll that way as frost.
- REMOVED the code that supported two different positions of the addon for your two specs. The addon now lives wherever you put it always. I couldn't reproduce the problems people were having with it resetting position, so it's back to how it was before.
Random Things:
- /facesmasher or /fs for options. More options will come with later releases.
- Should now (version 1.2) support all languages.
- It analyzes your talents. It knows if you have any of the talent strikes, or shields, lichborne and rune tap. It knows if you have cooldown reducing talents.
- It notices if your diseases are removed for whatever reason, including in pvp.
- It notices your spread of diseases via pestilence. Tabbing or switching targets will not confuse it.
- It will not tell you to summon your gargoyle, your Dancing Rune Weapon, or pop things like Hysteria or Deathchill. You'll have to still think about these things on your own (for now).
- It will not suggest defensively popping Icebound Fortitude if you have a talent shield active. If you have rune tap, it'll suggest that if nothing else is around but currently does not check your health. This will be added soon with an option for a health cutoff. If you have Lichborne it suggests that last as it's the longest defensive cooldown by far.
Fix for lower level characters (tested on a newly formed level 55 DK, no more errors!)
Option to disable the AP display.
Fix for Blood spec logic: Now it will prioritize any rune using ability over being RP capped. RP will only be dumped when runes are all on CD.
Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.
