EPGP Lootmaster

EPGP Lootmaster provides a nice GUI for distributing loot and GP to the raid.

It sends a popup and a message to all raid members with the question wether they want the loot or not and sends this response to the master looter. The ML gets a nice list of every raider's choices sorted by EP/GP (more info on EPGP here).

If you like EPGPLootmaster and wish to support the project, please donate here

Whisper system

This mod nolonger requires everyone in your raid to install it! Raid members can now just whisper the master looter with a simple message:

/w masterlooter !epgp need/greed/pass [itemlink]

This, however, will not send the current equipment to the master looter ui. It's still strongly suggested that everyone installs the mod, but it's nolonger mandatory. The master looter, of course, still needs to install it ;)

Installation

Just copy the epgp_lootmaster and epgp_lootmaster_ml directories from the zipfile to your addons directory or use the Curse Installer. When you configure your addons in wow you'll get two entries:
  • EPGP LootMaster - Core: Everyone in raid needs to enable this.
  • EPGP LootMaster - ML: Only Master Looter needs to enable this, most raiders will probably get dependency missing because EPGP isn't installed. This is no problem, just leave it disabled. The Master Looter however does need to install EPGP.

Config

/lm options for some basic options.
  • Auto announce threshold: sets what kind of item raid members automatically get to see.
  • Auto looter: sets a raid members that will automatically receive BoE and BoU items below the threshold (for disenchantment or bank).
  • Listen for incoming monitor updates: Enabling this will make your client listen from updates from the master looter. It will show you the exact same interface as the master looter. This way you could help deciding who gets the loot.

Use

Just install this mod on every raid member. Set someone up a master looter. As soon as the ML tries to loot something, epgp_lootmaster will detect it and will try to handle the distribution for you. epgp_lootmaster will also handle the GP distribution for you and should automatically disable the EPGP GP input popup. You can also manually disable this popup from the EPGP options panel.

/lm version or /lm versioncheck

This will show you an interface where you can see wether the members of your guild or raid have installed lootmaster and what version.

    Hi

First let me please say, that you have made an amazing addon, kudos to you :D

We found your addon, thru firstly finding cclootmaster, which was basically a epgp naked version of your addon.

I read many many pages back that you was intending to create your own pure lootmaster, that was not tied into any specific system.

Did you ever get around to it? i know your busy :D

We would love to use your uber spangly version but we pride ourselves on not using any points based looting system, and it works really well for us, and to state we dont use one then say you got to have an epgp loot addon would kinda give the wrong message, if you know what i mean.

I am trying to teach myself lua etc, as i thought i could try and do this myself and not have to bother you (i do appreciate how busy a life a person can have juggling wow/guild time and real life) but tbh at this stage its way over my head, not gonna give up tho :D

Anyway, if you possibly do have a naked version, would you be interested in publishing it, im sure there are other guilds out there like us, i could possibly offer you a trade if there is anything i could do to help you with this addon, ok not in the technical sence but maybe user guides or the like.

I know im terribly cheeky and yes i do feel it, but with 3.3 coming soon and cclootmaster not having been updated in 6 months we are worried that we are gonna be left without what we have come to love, and quite frankly we would much prefer to use your version if it just didnt have the epgp included.

Really hope you are not offended by me asking for your help when we are not currently using your addon :D

    regards and thanks

Thanks for your kind words. EPGPLootmaster is designed to be used together with EPGP. However... it can be used standalone already. Just install EPGPLootmaster and disable EPGP if you have it installed. Tell your raiders to install it aswell, test drive it a bit to see if you need more functionality.

    Hi

is there only the way for raiders to whisper the master looter if they want an item and they do not have the addon?
or only do not work the raid chat correctly by me ?
    can you help me? :(

Loot announcements are made in raid chat. If someone wants the item they should whisper the master looter. Putting !epgp need [itemlink] in raid chat won't work. If you have good reasons i could make support for this.

some don't have your addon and they always asking who wants the items.
we don't hide who wants items and don't go so strict with epgp because we also talk about it ^^
so it would be nice if everyone could write it in raid chat, so that everybody can see that he wants the item.

another problem with whisper is that im using WIM (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/wim-3.aspx) and it seems to be that this addon the whispers catch before your addon recognize them.

    is this a good reason :P ?

Looks like it :D Ill make it so it also scans for !epgp messages in your raid chat. However, you'll have to tell your raiders to reply in raid chat yourself as the default announce message will remain the same (asking your raiders to whisper you).

    Dearest mackatack^_^
I am confused. We want to try out this system, but I wonder if the above addon, is everything i need in order to start? Or do I also need the http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/epgp-dkp-reloaded.aspx?

Thank you for all the work, going into developing, maintaing the addon, and answering these questions <3^_^

EPGPLootmaster is an extension for EPGP, therefore you also need to install the main EPGP addon.

Is there any way to see the lootmaster window with bids even if u are not the lootmaster?

Yes, your master looter needs to enable sending of monitor messages (enabled by default) and you will need to enable the receiving of these messages (not enabled by default). Open the lootmaster config panel (/lm config), scroll all the way to the bottom and check those settings.

I just used the addon for the first time today and I love it!
One thing however: I'd like an option to announce in /ra when someone receives loot for the guildbank or offspec (which we do for 0 GP, but an abyss crystal has to be traded) instead of only announcing via the EPGP addon when someone got loot for GP.

If everyone in the raid has the addon installed they will receive these messages aswell, if distributed through epgplootmaster. Therefore, traded items cannot be announced automatically. You'd have to announce these manually or award 0 GP to this item through the core EPGP addon (/epgp). Good luck!

Ah, I didn't know that. :) Probably someone didn't pay attention then. Just ignore my comment then, except for I love the addon. :)

It seems the tLoot addon you've installed is causing this to happen. What does that addon do exactly?

Need to remove the auto removal for those on standby after each Boss EP award. It is annoying if you are like me and are more often then not on the standby list. I made an addon to watch for the whisper but the lootmaster disliked it. I asked why and received no response.

The only reason I can think of is that they want to boot those who are not on standby but are in the list. To resolve this there would be a method to boot people from the list on command.

As Mack already said, it's part of the EPGP addon.
There is an option in the EPGP addon's configuration.
The lootmaster, or whomever is tracking the EPGP at the time would have to disable that feature.

FWIW, we also use that feature, and while it may be somewhat annoying, it takes a burden of the tracker, to constantly need to verify people are still there.

You also don't need to be on the toon that is on standby either, just whisper from your alt "epgp standby macmania" to be put back on.
