  • About Elkano's BuffBars
  •

EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your toon or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features. It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings. EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessable via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor. After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/sharedmedia.aspx

Is it possible to make the bars go vertical? i spent like 20 mins messing with all the features trying to find a way to do it and i couldn't, basically I'm just trying to make 1 single white listed buff come up on a bar vertically next to my target frame.

  • Im having serious issues with this addon, at first it was not refreshing the time on buffs / debuffs at all, it would update when you changed the tracking settings but would remain the same after that(4 mins remaining on buff 5 minutes after it had actually expired).
It also was not saving settings at all between sessions, so a carefully set up frame would be completely gone if i re-logged.
Now it has progressed to me being completely unable to change the settings, if i try to change tracking or anything in the config, it just doesn't register than im clicking it, only the text entry boxes work.
Have reloaded wow and tried re-installing the addon to no effect.

  • It also, for some reason, does not appear on ACP.

No, but once 3.3 is live I'll look into supporting the new buff filtering stuff in case I find the time to do so.

When I use this mod, the tracking button on the minimap disappear. how can I enable it again? Ofc it pops up again when I choose not to use this mod, but I love it :d

The button is hidden by default since EBB mirrors its functionality in the tracking bar. If you still want the button, just disable hiding it in EBB's options.

I'm having a problem with filtering self debuffs on target only. For instance, as a rogue, I see all other rogue's rupture's and poisons on the target. Am I missing a setting for this to work properly?

yeah, you most likely forgot to set the selfcast filter to whitelist (meaning a buff has to be cast by you/your pet/your vehicle to show up)

hey guys i got a question
i'm a troll rogue and i want to make a bar for all my rouge skills like s&d, arenalin and so on. my problem is when i put Berserk on the whitelist of that bar it also shows me the procc of my berserk weapon enchant.
is there a way to block the weapon enchant from the bar and only show me my racial skill?

same name, both buffs -> no chance (well, in theory maybe one could check for the icon, too... but I don't think it's worth the effort currently)

This addon is nice! I like it. avit hard to understand the filtering and buf/debuf. But when experementing abit i configuret it exactly as i wanted it to be. :D Its nice to just make a frame for just 1 or 2 debufs that is hard to se among many buffs u can get. Realy nice.

  • Hi, I love the addon, but I'm having some trouble creating a new group to track target debuffs specific to what I need.

For example, on my druid I need to keep track of different mangle type debuffs, and I want it shown in this new group.

I want it to display either mangle or trauma on my target, as well as all other abilities a druid can use, but I dont want it to list all other class abilities. How can I set it up this way?

  • Hi I already love this mod but I need help on knowing how to move and make the de buff bars smaller to make them the same size as the buff bars

It's quite easy, look through the groups, you'll find a group called Debuffs (should be Group 2). Go into Bar Layout > Height/Width and adjust it to be the same as group 1 :)

As for the moving, just enable the Anchor, it's the first option when you're "editing" a group.

  • I used to use Buffalo but it seems to be discontinued. This seems like an interesting addon. Can anybody tell me if it's possible to configure it to show buffs horizontally rather than vertically? I'd like to keep my buffs in the top right and scrolling across my screen. I don't really like the default, vertical, big window setting. If that's the only way the addon works I think I'll pass.
