Unless I'm missing something, this no longer works. I'm currently sitting here, crying like a small baby. :(

This addon really has saved me some frustration in doing this daily! Thanks so much for putting this together!!!!!

What do you need to make it work with the french locale?

Excerpt from the german Patchnotes for 3.1.2:
"Alchemist Finkelstein sucht nun nach getrockneten Fledermausflügeln, nicht vertrockneten."
Means that the new string for "Withered Batwing" is now:

I'm running 1.0.4 and when Chilled Serpent Mucus comes up the add-on does not recognize it and doesn't show where to get it. Otherwise this add on is awesome and has allowed me to finish this quest without throwing things or breaking stuff!

Chilled Serpent Mucus has had it's spelling fixed.

Russian translation in current version is absolutelly wrong. Here you can find correct code

Maybe I am stupid but it seems that the hints given by this addon are totally wrong. I failed four times because it tells me to find that stuff is supposed to be in the right room, case 1 and the things just aren't there.

I am sure I'm missing something. RIGHT is right when looking at the cauldron, correct? Case 1 is the one on the left wall of that room, correct? Things just ain't there...

Ah, it seems EasySerum numbers shelves from the top... For me the natural thing to do is to count from the bottom. I haven't rechecked if it works this way, as I switched to TrollPatroll which does count the same way I do :-) Thanks anyway for taking care of this addon.

Thanks for an excellent addon that has helped me daily! I have one suggestion for future versions: This addon could provide a confirmation/error sound when an item is picked up. Perhaps a "ka-ching" for correct items, and a "brrr" error sound for wrong items. Not a neccessary addition of course, but it would be very convinient. My coffee-induced jitters sometimes make me click the item next to the right one (user error, I know).

I have been leveling my army of alts and have always dreaded this quest. I was going to skip this quest but then though maybe I would write my own little addon. I looked up the quest online to get some more info and found that some one had already wrote one to my amazement. I installed this addon on both my account, I have separate WoW folders for my accounts and little skimmed the post by other users. Here is my suggestion and comments for use of this addon.

1) Install this addon
2) Remember that as you walk in the building towards the quest giver LEFT is to the left and RIGHT is to the right as you walk in.
3) Get ready to fail the first time and maybe the next couple as per learning curve to figure out what addon is telling you. Some will get it on first try others may take a few tries.
4) The case count is clockwise and the first one to the left as you walk into the section where the cases are at.
5) Rows are from the top to the bottom.
6) Items are from left to right as you look at the case.

Doesn't work in French - and probably some other langages neither.

The problem is that French add a space before the exclamation sign (and any "double punctuation" (ie. ; : and ! ) for that matter), so your gsub() pattern is incorrect for us. Also note that this extra space should be a non-breakable space. However, I'm unsure if WoW use a regular space or a nbsp in this case - I do know it uses nbsp's on a few occasions, like recipes names for example.

Not that it really needs to be said again, but this addon is fantastic. It helps to avoid a ton of frustration.

The only thing I'd change is to make the text pop in the middle of the screen, like the quest text does. However, this is a very minor issue.

Addon worked beautifully. This quest was so frustrating. I printed out a picture of each item and its location, but still failed. I finally succeeded once I used this. Great job.
