A Suicide Kings loot distribution addon created for <Drunkard> of Bloodscalp.

Features:

  • Two separate lists (normal loot and armor tokens).
  • Automatically uses the token list for armor tokens.
  • Lists viewable by everyone.
  • Gui interface to bid, roll offspec, or pass on items.
  • Current winner listed in bidding frame.
  • NEW - Player's bids, passes, and offspecs listed next to them in the list.

Usage:

/dsk will open the list frame. There are two lists: normal gear and armor tokens.

In order to manipulate the lists (add, remove, etc), or opening bidding on an item you must be masterlooter in a raid and a guild officer.

To add someone to a list simply target them and select add. They can be moved up or down the list, removed from the list, or murdered (forced suicide) by selecting the player in the list hitting the appropriate button.

To open bidding on an item simply alt click it. This will open the bidding window on everyone's screen (assuming they also have this installed).

To sync the lists. If you are not the masterlooter and hit sync, the masterlooter will broadcast his list to everyone. If you are the masterlooter and hit sync, all of the officers will send you their lists and yours will be updated. Either way lists are only updated if a newer list is received.

Notes:

  • An officer is defined by ability to speak in /o. If you can speak in /o you are an officer as far as DSK is concerned.
  • Tier items dropped in the vault will use the normal list. Only the actual armor tokens use the token list.

TODO:

  • Fix issue with addon sometimes not opening bidding until UI is reloaded.
  • Add a way to copy list out of WoW.
  • Add a way to undo/revert a list change/suicide.

    It seems that some people just needed to reload the UI but it was not auto updating at that time but now the other night it worked like a dream.

    Maybe another option could be by user option. Lets say I am a Holy Priest I could mark an X in plate, leather, mail, axe, bow, gun so it would auto pass for me. Not sure how hard that would be.

  • With the new feature added in 1.1.0 I do not see a reason to autopass for things a player cannot use. The looter can now look at the list and see if someone who can use the item has not responded. So for now this feature request is not going on my to do list. I am tying to avoid anything to set up in the addon other than initial list creation.

Our Master Looter is an officer of the guild and what we lik eto do is to make sure all officers and GM all sync once the raid is completed. Now tonight it seemed only the master looters DSK was working and no other officer or the GM had the correct DSK list. Any thoughts? Does a reload UI help this?

    Any chance a feature could be added? Example: We had a player bid on an item for main spec and win and that person was suicided. Once the player put on the item it wasn't much of an upgrade so he handed the loot to the next player in line. We suicided that player but the original winner of the item we had to click his name at the bottom of the list like 50+ times to move him back to his original place.

  • Well. The list is auto sync after each bid (basically whenever the list changes it is pushed out to the raid). So, there is no need to sync at the end of a raid. You should only need to sync at the beginning of a raid and really that is only necessary if you are the one administering the loot and you have an old list (i.e. missed a raid or something). So, I am not really sure what is going on there... were all of the officers and GMs in the raid?

    I won't say no to the feature request as it would be nice, but its a fair amount of work as the addon would need to save multiple copies of each list. I will add it to my list of things to do when I find the time.

    Last night our guild tried DSK for the first time. Our ML did some test bids from items in his bag in a raid setting with the entire guild (so they would know what it looked like), then set up our list and off to raid (so it was working prior to the actual raid). However, when we tried to link the items to bid in Ulduar from the loot window, it wouldn't. Any ideas?

  • This has been happening to me as well for the last few weeks. The first loot in Ulduar (not sure if its just here) does nothing when alt clicked.

    If you reload your ui the problem goes away and everything should work normally.

    I haven't figured out what is going on yet. Though it is a high priority for me once I get some time.

    That's happened to me with an older version of the original SK. I think that it shared a lib with another mod that was loading first. The other mod's version of the shared lib didn't work for SK. IIRC, I copied the SK lib over to the other mod...I think in my case, it was Heal Organizer. It would never happen if during the raid, I opened SK first; however if I opened HO first, and then SK after a kill, I had to /rl to get the SK announce to work.

    I hope this is a help. My guild is still watching the development of DSK closely.

    Disregard my comment. I find no libs in the original SK folder. But we did in fact have the same occurrence. I have no idea what I did to remedy, but I do know that it never happened if I didn't open Heal Organizer.

    Hi there,

    we have been using dsk for a few days and it looks awesome. One question, though : we did not manage to have armor items take into account the token frame, they are taken into account like regular item, and managed from the main list.

    Could this be because we are playing with a non English version of WoW (French in this case) ?

  • What do you mean by armor items? Tier pieces that drop in the vault (i.e. not the tokens but actual pants or gloves) will not use the token list they will use the regular list. Actual tokens should use the token list.

    Here's an example of an item that I would have expected to be handled as a token but was not : Legplates of the Wayward Vanquisher. It fell tonight (Freya) but was not recognized as a token. French name : Cuissards du vainqueur indiscipliné.

  • Hmm... that is odd. It is coded to not checked via names. It checks the item type. So, it shouldn't matter that it is in french. I will look into this some more.

    1. Why is it that you need to be a Guild Officer? I run a raid group with a large guild I am in no way an office. How will this effect the use of this mob.
    2. It seems like you add each person manually versus the Roll in method from the original SK.

    1. To keep anyone from being able to modify the list. This was the easiest way to limit who can modify the lists. If you want to be able to use this mod you need to be able to speak in /o.

    2. You do add each person manually. The reasoning is that this was a significant amount of code for something only used once. It did not seem worth the time to code to me. You can still have people roll. However you have to keep track of it and manually set up the list.
