I love the idea of this addon but actually it doesn't work while trading. I am an Enchanter and can not open the Enchantwindow without canceling the trade.
Anyone else here with the same problem or am i the only one?

    Thanks for help

  • note that they are two different mods...
they do the same thing, but not the same mod.

I like this one better, I dont like the subclass dropdown on the right pane. i like the default left side like this mod.

Would it be possible to have a way to toggle this addon on and off ingame?

I really like the overview I get from this addon, but sometimes when I want to see how something looks on my char it is annoying. Because when I control-click on an item to show it on my char the tradeskill window closes. I see the logic in this because it is too wide. But when I now want to add another item to see on my char when I open the tradeskill window the charpreview window closes and thus makes it impossible to view multiple items on my char at the same time. For example to see how an itemset looks that I can craft. For this case I would like to be able to disable this addon so the tradeskill window shows as it would normal (so with 1 column).

Right now when I really want to do this I logout disable addon, en logon again, but it is very inconvenient. A button to toggle between 1 or 2 column mode would be awesome.

I have a better (IMHO) idea: make it so the tradeskill window never automatically closes... Like Auctioneer does, for example.

I *hate* the default behaviour of frames to close automatically when another one is opened. It's a pain. I hate Blizzard devs for doing this. Where did they get this idea from? Have you seen any OS that does that with running applications windows?

  • I gotta echo Renerie -- I also am using Moveanything (running dual monitors with viewport only on the right so the default position of DWTS is basically unusable for me) and simply cannot move the frame. It reports as TradeSkillFrame but I cannot even hit enter with the command "/move TradeSkillFrame" in the chat box. Very odd really (simply deleting just one letter lets enter register again). Also get some pretty intense lag when trying to do so.

One other thing -- doesn't look quite right w/ Skinner. Makes the frame too narrow for it's contents, and unfortunately telling skinner not to skin the craft frame doesn't help. This may just be a minor cosmetic issue though.

the mod im using to move the frame windows is called moveanything, what i wrote in brackets.

is it possible to make this window moveable? i use a mod that allowes me to move windowframes(moveanything), and i can move all (even doublewide for questlog) but am unable to move the doublewide for tradeskills unless i disable the mod.
If you make make a feature inclusive in doublewide tradeskills that makes it moveable that would make this mod perfect.
I also dont use any of the bumff that comes with advanced tradeskills, this one is perfect for me if i could move it.
    Thanks :)

  • I used to use move anything also but stopped using it as it seems to have many issues with quite a few other add-ons that alter default frames. Now using drag queen, it's a simplified version of moveanything and wont save your positions (frames reset to default blizzard location after you close them) but i find it does the job and has never caused me any errors.

And Drag Queen does work fine with this add-on :) Just a suggestion should you want to try an alternative frame movement mod.

and to the author, i love this very simple yet great mod, using it alongside DoubleWide. Many thanks and keep up the good work :)

I'm not aware of anything I'm doing that should stop the other mod working - let me know which mod you are using to move windows and I'll make it work with that.

I'm basically trying to keep this mode as simple as possible.

Thanks for the update, awesome. I'm getting a lot of debug type messages in my chatframe now when trading with peoeple, any way to disable this?

Yes, update to v0.2.01. 'Oops' is all I've got to say about that.

honestly, i havent used lightheaded and idk how it work :/ sorry.
but from what you described i would say yes. two completely separate windows. one with the list of *enchants you can make, second with the icon then the mats. just like it is now with a split right down the middle

I agree with the previous posts..this window needs to be able to close the mats window so it would be easier to do enchants..right now if you try to enchant you are unable to have this window and the trade window open at the same time.

I'm not sure quite what you guys are describing - is it just something like how the LightHeaded panel works? or does it separate them into two completely separate windows?

In the mean time, I've updated DWTS to shrink back to normal width as needed to show Trade frame

I second KyuubiANBU's recommendation. I, too, used Cosmos, and that feature of dual panes was invaluable for the Quest Log. I'd love to see it with Professions via DWTS.

on Cosmos, there was an addon like this but for the quest log (like doublewide) but unlike DW, the quest text and the log were separate, so you could close one window and the other would stay open.
why not do that with this mod? this little change would make this addon amazing, and would be especialy usefull for crafters whose using the trade window as well (alanm26, lookin at you) enchanters wouldn't have to close trade to pick out enchants and look at mats, and it would make life a ton easyer for any other proffession.
just separate the 2 windows, very easy to do and would perfect this addon for sure :)

This is something I've been wanting for a long time. My only problem is I can't do enchants with it. Opening my enchanting window cancels trade by closing the trade window.

Ah right I hadn't actually tested that. Thanks, I'll look into it.
