Have a question? Check the Dominos wiki first!

Dominos is an action bar addon intended to do the following:

  • Reuse as much standard blizzard action button code as possible.
  • Contain a relatively minimal feature set
  • Be easy to use
  • Be stable

It includes the following features:

  • 10 action bars, pet, class, menu, and bag bars. Each one has customizable settings for padding, spacing, columns, scale, and opacity.
  • Customizable paging. You can switch pages on: action bar pages, modifier keys, forms, and targeting.
  • Customizable show states. You can tell your bar under which macro options to show.
  • Fading bars. You can set your bars to fade out to a certain opacity when not moused over.
  • The ability to customize showing empty buttons or not
  • Full button facade support
  • Keybound support
  • Sticky frames
  • The ability to move buttons in combat
  • A movable casting bar (optional)
  • A movable roll frame (optional)
  • A movable xp/reputation bar (optional)
  • Configurable right click targeting
  • Configurable self cast key settings
  • Possess bar support

...and will probably not end up with the following:

  • A stats bar
  • A minimap bar
  • True variable length bars

Here's how you use it:

  • To see the current list of slash commands, type /dom ? or /dominos ?
  • To open up the options menu, either go into interface options, or type /dom
  • To move bars around, either go into the options menu and press the "Enter Config Mode" button, or type /dom lock
  • To bind keys, enter binding mode via /kb or /keybound, or press the "Enter Binding Mode" button in the options menu.

...and this is why I wrote it:

  • I have significantly less time to code now than I did previously. Dominos is intended to be easier to maintain.
  • I wanted to see how much I could do while maintaining compatibility with the standard action button code.
  • I'm not entirely happy with the direction I took with Bongos3. I added features that I do not see myself using personally, and thus feel that those features will be neglected and bug ridden.

You can use the following to add extra functionality:

  • RedRange - Colors action buttons red when out of range
  • OmniCC - Adds cooldown count text
  • ButtonFacade - Allows you to change the look of the action, pet, and class buttons
  • Inline Aura - Adds buff and debuff highlighting to action buttons

if you downloaded the update from yesterday then you should read the changes tab where it says it will not work for 3.1 only 3.2
if that's not the problem then i don't know what is

I actually have no idea. You can try posting one on my google code page as a patch or something, and I can do stuff with it from there.

    First off, I love Dominos!

Ok now, do you mind telling me your AddOn compilation in the screenshot? Or maybe even an upload? That would be awesome! It looks super sexy ;P

The screenshot is from a year ago or so. You're probably looking at a combination of Sage + Dominos + perhaps MiniMapster.

  • I am unable to move buttons when "possessing" or in a vehicle (the buttons of those functions specifically). Is this a limitation from Blizz and if so, is it one that can be changed in a bar mod such as this? To simply drag those buttons around like normal would be great of course, but I assume that may be a hard limit of the game. Alternatively I would love to simply tell Dominos which default button slot each of its slots should link to... if that makes any sense. For example, today dominos makes the 1st button slot on its bar (on the left or top) perform the same as the button 1 on the default bar (the far left), so when in a vehicle whatever Blizz put in the "1" slot will show in that far left dominos slot. I would like to be able to, for example, make the 6th domino slot show what the default would have put in #1. Even mirroring the bars so they grow right to left instead of the default would help.

I ask because I use a gamepad (Belkin n52te) and use Dominos to make my actions bars visually the same as the pad (a 3x5 block), set simple keybindings and then just put abilities where they make sense on the pad (so my most used ability where my index finger lies, which happens to be the 10th button on the bar). When I do a vehicle though, suddenly my most important ability is way up by my pinky. love Dominos and it gives me so much other control over my action bars, I'd love to gain this little bit of extra control. Thanks!

The restriction on button movement is on Blizzard's side. I'm not really sure if I can do anything about the possess bar location.

  • can you please add a some kind of "button down click" option like in "Macaroon!"? it would be really helpfull. thanks

I've used all (or nearly all) action bar addons and this is my favorite for its simplicity and robustness. Even the casting bar is superior to many dedicated stand-alone casting bar addons.

As my main is a Shaman, I'm looking forward to the new totemic bar in 3.2. Will that be incorporated into Dominos?

The 3.2 version of Dominos will have a totem bar, three totem bars in fact. They will have the format of:
    {call of fire|water|air},
    {fire totem},
    {earth totem},
    {water totem},
    {air totem},
    {call of earth}

  • Im still having problems with this addon sense its release, action bar 1 doesn't even work with keybinds, the petbar entering combat still doesn't even show and also the vehicle bar doesn't even work with keybinds or show either. Still awaiting on these fixes.....

I love Dominos, it's robust enough to do what I want, and simple enough to get me where I need to go simply.

thing is, the profile management is very limited and not all that intuitive. I'd really kill for the option to export profiles to a location and then browse to that location and import from another toon on another account.

this is because I multibox, but I can see a lot of uses for it in households where more than one person plays.

Failing that, where do I find the files or settings when I save a profile under a new name? Can I go to that file loc, copy it to a new loc and have it show up on another account/toon?

All of my accounts run through the same symlinked data and interface folder.
