About Decursive

Decursive 2.4

Decursive is a cleansing mod intended to render affliction removal easy, effective and fun for all the classes having this ability.

Decursive key benefits

Ease of use:
- Decursive configures itself automatically for your character class, it works straight out of the box, no configuration is required.
- Intuitive interface and detailed options, Decursive is suitable for simple usage and power users.
Control what and who you want to dispel:
- Easily Filter out debuffs you don't want or that are useless to remove by class (some are pre-configured).
  (Such as afflictions affecting mana on non-mana classes, etc...).
- Choose between what you can dispel (magic, curses, poison, diseases, charms) choosing their priority. (this allows you to share the cleansing work with other players effectively)
- Prioritize or exclude members. (keep players, classes, or raid groups in a specific order to cleanse them in order of importance)
Manage Mind controlled units:
- If you are a Mage, a Druid or a Shaman you can Polymorph/Cyclone/Hex mind-controlled players.
- In any case Decursive will allow you to target mind controlled units easily.
- Decursive supports magic charming affect removal for Shamans (Purge and Hex), Priests (Dispel Magic), Hunters (Tranquilizing Shot), and Warlocks (Fellhunter and Doomguards spells).
Don't waste time:
- Your cleansing spell Cooldown is displayed to maximize your dispel speed.
- An automatic blacklist will prevent you from loosing time on players that cannot be dispelled.
  (player 'out of line of sight' for example).
- Decursive choose a logical cleansing order depending on your current position in the raid.
  (preventing dispel concurrence between players and thus 'nothing to dispel' messages)
React faster:
- Visual and/or auditive alerts when someone needs your attention and can be dispelled.
- Special sound alert when Unstable Affliction is detected and you're about to dispel it.
- Visual and autitive alert when your dispel attempts are resisted or fail.
Integration in any interface:
- Decursive is designed to save screen real estate and to be forgotten when not needed.
- Many options allow you to customize Decursive appearance and interface behavior.
- All Decursive alert colors can be modified making it suitable for color-blind people.
Highly optimized and effective coding:
- Decursive was developed with memory and CPU usage in mind, installing Decursive won't affect your frame rate even in the worst battle conditions.
- Bug free: bugs are not tolerated in Decursive.

Implemented a workaround for 'Dominate Mind' detection, it should work for priests, shamans, paladins and hunters. Big thanks to Scrusi for all his help in fixing this :)

   Changes from Decursive 2.3.1 to Decursive 2.4

   - New feature: The cool down of the curing spell to be used is displayed
   (clock) on afflicted MUFs.

   - Decursive uses AceLocal-3.0 ; localization is now made using this interface:

   - Fix the sanity check failed alert in the combat event manager (it was due to the fact that group change event may be fired too late)

Hopefully fixes the long standing issue where debuff event where "missed", MUFs are now moved and there unit attributes never changes.

   Fixed minimap icon and main bar management when Decursive is "Ace-disabled"
   - Default icon is now Off instead of On.
   - Decursive Bar defaults to off when disabled (after reload).
   - Fixed several LUA errors due to minimap icon init issue when Decursive is disabled.
   - Minimap menu toggle option is now also disabled when Decusrive is.

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Just curious but is there any way to stop Decursive automatically creating the macro? I don't use it myself, got a custom made cleanse macro that i've used for quite some time, and so the dcr macro is kinda cluttering up space as it's not in use.

Hey Archarodim - I love Decursive! I have one problem that I've been trying to get around....when someone is cursed, their little box blinks with their affliction...and also in the center of my screen a rectangular box pops up with their name and what they're afflicted with. This gets in the way when I'm casting blizzard, and I'd like to remove it. The MUF boxes are more than enough for me. How do I do this?

I love how discreet decursive is, but atm one of the features (and I don't know which one) is causing my screen to fill up with unwanted stuff. For example, when Kel'Thuzad casts frostbolt on the raid, I get the frostbolt icon and box up for every player in the raid which on 25 mans isn't fun. I don't know which setting I need to change to stop the warning altogether.

It must be the live-list filling up your screen... Normally it only displays the three first debuffs, you must have changed this setting, take a look in the live-list options.

Now if every member is afflicted by frost bolt, it's normal that every MUF get lit... You can ignore this debuff, look in the filtering options where you can easily add debuff you cleansed at least once in the current session or just type its name.

That's normal in the latest beta, you can turn those messages off by disabling messages output in the message options or by downloading the previous beta. Thank you for the report :)

Dude, I only got the profile working on my priest. My shaman is only level 62, Can't even get it to come on in game though its enabled. Any ideas?

Gah! Please help! As so many do, I rely on Decursive to work perfectly, which it always has. However, I recently picked up the new Body and Soul priest talent and the MUF does NOT 'light up' to warn me, as it does for magic and diseases (magic=red, disease=blue for me, which is default, I believe). I CAN cleanse the poison by right-clicking, but the issue remains that Decursive DOESN'T warn me that I need to do so. Btw, ths is the FIRST addon I will re-install when I must delete my folder and start again - so ty for working so hard keeping it up-to-date!
