  • About DebuffAlarm
  •

DebuffAlarm plays a sound and flashes your screen whatever color you want for whatever debuff you want to be alerted over. You can add and remove debuffs easily, and setup different colors and sounds per debuff.

DebuffAlarm comes with 3 default debuffs configured: Solarian's Wrath of the Astromancer, Vashj's Static Charge, and Leotheras' Insidious Whisper.

I am still using it... and it seems to work fine. If/when it breaks, I will sorely miss it. I am not aware of a good replacement. (I actually only use it for my Dwarf characters for Stoneform.)

  • this addon sounds great especially for healer. they have it much harder to notice debuffs.

I need to localize it for German still. If you want you can help with that. Take the Localization_enUS.lua file and translate it. :)

Get it from the addon. Curse formatted that link you see in my comment. It leads to nothing as you discovered.

I just uploaded a new version. It fixes some issues with the FuBar plugin and changes the way debuffs are added.

    @Carnivore
In the latest version you add a debuff with the following command:
    /da debuffs add Recently Bandaged
Replacing "Recently Bandaged" with the debuff's name.

  • I tried it the manual way on void reaver and added a debuff called "Arcane Orb" Yet it did not get picked up. This is strange because the debuff from astromancer u placed "wrath of the astromancer" yet all you get with bigwigs is "wrath on you"

Do i need to know the EXACT name of boss debuffs ? ifso how do i find out what they're called

You should see in your combat log "You are afflicted by <debuff name>" and what you put in DebuffAlarm must match <debuff name> exactly.

You can also add debuffs via a keybinding. Mouse over the debuff and hit the keybinding you configured. Look under Esc->Key Bindings to set it.

  • My DebuffAlarm does not open anymore in Fubar via RightClick... just nothing happenz

    I get an error:

DebuffAlarm\Localization_deDE.lua:3: AceLocale(DebuffAlarm): Can only accept true as a value on the base locale. "enUS" is the base locale, "deDE" is not.

Thanks, Carnivore. I think I fixed this in r56083. I have no way of testing though.

Is it possible to be able to add text as a warning, instead of flashing.

Also, great job on this addon. This is the only addon I can find that notifies you of debuffs and works with 2.4. Blizzard did something very different I think with buffs and debuffs in 2.4, and any other mod involved with buffs and debuffs, like dotimer notifications and necb, no longer function properly.

I love this addon. It is such a big help for me on raids; as a healer it makes me aware when I'm standing in something I shouldn't be. But since 2.4 it no longer works for me. I can't right click on it to open options and my screen no longer flashes a color with a debuff. Any suggestions? This is truly one of my favorite addons.
