  • About Deadly Boss Mods
  •

DBM 4.14 has even better support for Ulduar bosses! We will be constantly developing the Ulduar mods over the next weeks. Updated versions of DBM 4.1x will be uploaded here on Curse every few days or so. Alpha builds from the SVN are always available on www.deadlybossmods.com.

Website: www.deadlybossmods.com! You will always find the latest version and news about Deadly Boss Mods there.

Features

  • Boss mods for all raid bosses
  • Colored raid warnings (players will be colored according to their class) with icons - so you will know what's going on without even reading the message
  • Auto-respond during boss fights. DBM will inform anyone who whispers you during a boss fight that you are busy. These messages contain the name and health of the boss as well as the raid's status
  • HealthFrame: you can enable a simple frame that shows a health bar for all active bosses. This is enabled by default for multi-mob bosses like Four Horsemen
  • Bars can be enlarged with decent effects when they are about to expire
  • Crash recovery: you had a disconnect or crash during a boss fight? No problem for DBM! It will request the timer and combat status information from other DBM users in your raid group and you get your timers back
  • Synchronization system for accurate timers
  • No dependencies, no embedded libraries (except for the optional LibDataBroker plugin that embeds LibDataBroker)
  • Modular design - all boss mods are plugins and can be exchanged, removed or updated separately
  • Load on demand - all boss mods are separate AddOns and they will be loaded when they are needed. So they don't use memory or cpu until you enter the corresponding instance
  • Efficient code: DBM uses less than 250 kb memory and the cpu usage is also very low
  • Special effects like the screen flash effect, huge warning messages and sounds will draw your attention to critical events
  • Bars can change their color over time and flash before they expire
  • There are many bar designs to choose from, all designs are are customizable: you can change the color, size, icon position etc.
  • Support for SharedMedia, so you can use any texture for your bars
  • Option to create custom timers, so-called "Pizza Timers" for your pizza or whatever you prefer to eat while raiding. You can also send those timers to your raid group
  • Powerful object-oriented API - you can use it to write your own boss mods!

Additional Mods

Slash Commands

  • /dbm - shows/hides the GUI
  • /dbm timer <time> <name> - starts a local timer, the time can be in the mm:ss format
  • /dbm broadcast timer <time> <name> - broadcasts a timer to the raid
  • /dbm unlock - shows a movable timer bar (alias: move)
  • /dbm ver - performs a raid-wide version check
  • /range or /distance - shows the RangeCheck frame

  • I'm not sure how hard this would be, if it's even possible (or maybe already included and I'm just doing something wrong), but would it be possible to make it so clicking on one of the displayed health bars would target that mob? Like, for example, on Freya, when the adds come and it gives the health bars for each of the 3 that need to die all at once, being able to click the bar of the one you're switching to would be great, especially as hectic as that fight can get.

  • Greetings! Yesterday I noticed a major problem during the General Vezax hard mode battle. When the Saronite Animus joins the fight all notifications for shadow crashes disappear.

  • i was wondering why cant i use this on my mac cpu ?

Addons are platform-independent. Also, there is no such thing as a "mac cpu".
Please refer to the installation guide that can be found under the tab "Installation" above for detailed instructions for installing an addon on a mac.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE DBM!!! but...been having an issue, as well as other players too, with timers. Seem to be off by 4-5 seconds during raid bosses (Naxx, OS specifically). Everyone is switching to BigsWigs...and i don't want to. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much

  • I noticed this greatly, im starting to get that kind of problem as well. I am a resto shaman in normal UK and healing a group for last boss, Undead Ingvar's Dreadful Strike showing me a 10 sec cast but he already cast it less than 5 sec. I thought it was just a minor lookover. Until i recently heal a group in Violet Hold, after the second boss. I was given a 1min and 30 sec to wait for a new portal to show up. So i res one of my group which give me 1min and 15 sec left. so i sat down and catch up what to do. in less than 1 min, the portal appeared. the whole group was puzzled why it was a sudden rush but we did finish that just fine. So i starting to question the functionality of DBM and will be switching to BigWigs until this kind of delay is fixed. I have a few isntance that have this kind of delay as well. Please fix it as soon as possible

  • Could anyone tell me just what this means in my chat window?
I get it when very often even when solo.

A new time-based raid event was created

You are using the addon "DBM-RaidLeadTools" that make use of DBMs boss kill and wipe tracking for DKP management and you apparently enabled time-based DKP gains for your raid. This particular addon hooks into DBM's configuration menu and you should be able to disable it there.

Please try to disable DBM-SpellTimers then log in and open the menu. You should then be able to enable it again if the error message is gone.

Hi there, firstly i would like to say that this addon has saved me many many times. But for some reason i cannot make it work on my main character. It works on every ton BUT my raiding toon :/. i have tried to specifically turn it on for him but it just instantly turns off. I've also tried typing /dBM, and deleting the addon and then reloading it. Please help! Thx ^^

Please try to delete your saved variables for that character. Open the folder World of Warcraft\WTF\ACCOUNT\\\\savedvars...there are a few files starting with DBM-... which store all setting, please try to delete them while WoW is not started.

Also if this means anything everything is staying checked BUT DBM-core and DBM-options. I've looked at both the different files and they dont seem any different from the others.
