DBM 4.29 supports Onyxia and Trial of the Champion/Crusader/Grand Crusader :)

Alpha builds from the SVN are always available on www.deadlybossmods.com.

Website: www.deadlybossmods.com! You will always find the latest version and news about Deadly Boss Mods there.

Features

  • Boss mods for all raid bosses
  • Colored raid warnings (players will be colored according to their class) with icons - so you will know what's going on without even reading the message
  • Auto-respond during boss fights. DBM will inform anyone who whispers you during a boss fight that you are busy. These messages contain the name and health of the boss as well as the raid's status
  • HealthFrame: you can enable a simple frame that shows a health bar for all active bosses. This is enabled by default for multi-mob bosses like Four Horsemen
  • Bars can be enlarged with decent effects when they are about to expire
  • Crash recovery: you had a disconnect or crash during a boss fight? No problem for DBM! It will request the timer and combat status information from other DBM users in your raid group and you get your timers back
  • Synchronization system for accurate timers
  • No dependencies, no embedded libraries (except for the optional LibDataBroker plugin that embeds LibDataBroker)
  • Modular design - all boss mods are plugins and can be exchanged, removed or updated separately
  • Load on demand - all boss mods are separate AddOns and they will be loaded when they are needed. So they don't use memory or cpu until you enter the corresponding instance
  • Efficient code: DBM uses less than 250 kb memory and the cpu usage is also very low
  • Special effects like the screen flash effect, huge warning messages and sounds will draw your attention to critical events
  • Bars can change their color over time and flash before they expire
  • There are many bar designs to choose from, all designs are are customizable: you can change the color, size, icon position etc.
  • Support for SharedMedia, so you can use any texture for your bars
  • Option to create custom timers, so-called "Pizza Timers" for your pizza or whatever you prefer to eat while raiding. You can also send those timers to your raid group
  • Powerful object-oriented API - you can use it to write your own boss mods!

Additional Mods

Slash Commands

  • /dbm - shows/hides the GUI
  • /dbm timer <time> <name> - starts a local timer, the time can be in the mm:ss format
  • /dbm broadcast timer <time> <name> - broadcasts a timer to the raid
  • /dbm unlock - shows a movable timer bar (alias: move)
  • /dbm ver - performs a raid-wide version check
  • /range or /distance - shows the RangeCheck frame

ry to locate your wow installation (sometimes there are 2 of them), you can do that by rightclick on the icon and look for the file path.

When you have the correct wow folder, goto "World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\" and unzip the files there. You can also use the Curse Updater or any other one to install DBM.

The folder structure should look like:
    "World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\DBM-Core"
    "World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\DBM-GUI"
    "World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\DBM-Coliseum"
    ...

There were some bugs in that alpha upload, particularly the new spam filter is actually backwards (it's on when it's off and off when it's on). Combat start timer might be quirky for NRB and algalon too. if any of these issues effect you there is a newer alpha always available on site :)

  • how do you turn off the "run away little girl run away" audio?

  • Mave99 said

you find a "Play Sound on <ability>" button in the Boss Options Menu (GUI). This disables the "Run away little Girl" Sound

Hello I watched a video of the twins fight, seen here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rh1AnQZ4PPQ

And to give a brief description his special warning or whatever it's called is moved from the default position and he is also told when to switch colors and less importantly is told when to switch targets for twins pack.

Therefore I am wondering if 1) it is a feature I could simply check to tell me when to change colors and if not how this is accomplished and 2ndly) if the feature was added to move the special ability and if not if someone could give me a description of how to move it I know there is a way with /script or something similar.

Basically, I'd like to configure it exactly like this guy's.

Thank you very much for any help that can be given

I simply think he uses the DBM Version from our Website www.deadlybossmods.com where you always can find the newest stuff. The Alpha Version is sometimes updated 50 times a Day and includes all new features that might find its way to DBM Core (stable) which is released here.

I don't know if DBM v4.29b includes the SpecWarn Options. They can be found in GUI Options and there you have a "move me" button ;)

WoW, for whatever reason, isn't registering that I have installed DBM. I unzipped it and put it in various different folders multiple times and DBM still doesn't show up in my addons in-game. I've tried the World of Warcraft folder, the Interface folder and the Addons folder. Questhelper and Recount are the only addons that seem to work - I have tried to install BigWigs and XPerl as well. Is something wrong with my WoW or...?

Wow! It worked! It's funny, 'cause I was trying to be all neat and organized so I was making separate folders for all the addons I was putting in my addons folder. I guess that screws up the files? Anyways, it works now! Thank you so much!
