DBM-Forte:

This an addon to Deadly Boss Mods(required), custom created by the guild Forte on US-Khadgar.

This is currently only available in the English Language!

Features:

Grobbulus

  • Multiple Marks: This will apply up to 3 marks to players affected by the Injection. Skull is the one scheduled to explode next, Circle 2nd and Moon 3rd. The marks will scroll to the next in line after the Skull explodes, IE Circle will become Skull. This also removes marks from players heads as soon as the injection is gone - including if someone in the raid removes the disease.

Loatheb

  • NEW! Announce when Spores take damage(excluding paladin's taunt's small damage factor), to aid guilds trying to do the achievement on this boss. This is disabled by default, and would be highly annoying to have enabled if you're not doing the achievement.

Kel'Thuzad

  • Frost Blast Alarm: A unique and unmistakable alarm sounds when players are affected by Frost Blast, assisting the healers in making a quick reaction to heal.
  • Range Check: The 10 yard range check window displays automatically, 10 seconds before KT becomes active
  • KT active soon alert: Alerts 10 seconds before Kel'Thuzad is active

Malygos

  • Phase 3 Focus Alarm: A unique and unmistakable alarm sounds when Malygos focuses his eyes on YOU! This is a preemptive alarm, allowing you 3 seconds to build combo points and put your shield up before you actually are hit by the spell.
  • NEW! Phase 3 Dot Tracker: Tracks the time remaining on your DoT stacks on Malygos with a Timer Bar. Bar displays your current stacks, and your approximate DPS from your stacks.

Other Features

  • Break timer: /dbm break <min>: Requires raid leader or assist, and starts a "break". Gives everyone in the raid a timer bar for the duration of the break. Announces when there are 5/2/1 minutes left and again at 30 seconds remaining.

    From the front page of the Forte website (there is alot more to the post, that's just the first 3 words and only relevant part to this), so at a guess this addon probably won't be updated anymore with new bosses or bugfixes, which is unfortunate as it looks like a very good addon.

    Fabulous addon! I have recently encountered a problem though. My boss health frame bars have completely disappeared from encounters. I checked the interface, they are still set, but nothing shows in fight. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!

    Yeah I had to disable this, the malygos error comes up every single time we do malygos. Seems to happen when you die.

  • While I show at the top that this is only available for the English client, most all of the code is language-independent -- so many of the features *may* work as-is for you, and only lack german translations.

    If you would like to take a few minutes to translate the addon for me, open up the DBM-Forte folder, open the localization.en.lua - then change all of the phrases inside the quotes of that file into their german translation. Save that file as localization.de.lua. If you then send that file to me (contact me through private message), I will update the addon with your german translations!

    When DBM-Forte is loaded by default (marked to load at startup with ACP), the DBM-Optionsframe can not be accessed nor shown. I have to disable it. Is that a bug or working like intended?

  • I messed around a little more, and I figured out what you were talking about. It was a bug I didn't catch before, but has nothing to do with ACP.

    I thought i'd found a way to auto-load the mod, but DBM still has issues with the way I was doing it, so I uploaded a new version that is Load-On-Demand. It should load whenever you zone into Naxxramas or Eye of Eternity.

    V0010 should fix the problem.

    I only mentioned ACP to detail the "loaded by default" and explain it a bit. Think the behavior is the same with the blizz std. addon frame. Normally you have to mark (enable) all DBM-Modules you want, an then there is an Load-On-Demand-Option and DBM do the rest when entering the appropriate zone.
    So thank you for the fix, i´ll report if it does not work.

  • I just loaded up ACP, and am unable to duplicate what you're experiencing. Make sure you have the latest Forte mod (v0009), as well as the latest DBM. It may be helpful to completely delete the DBM-Forte and the DBM directories and reinstall them both. Let me know if that helps!

  • I don't use ACP personally, however..
    I have built DBM-Forte to load automatically, rather than enable when entering certain zones. It will load after DBM-Core and DBM-GUI have loaded. If ACP gives you the option to load addons in a certain order, DBM-Forte must be loaded AFTER BOTH of those have loaded, or you'll have issues.
    If, by DBM-Optionsframe, you mean the in-game window that allows you to select/deselect the different boss's options - that is not working as intended if you're unable to use it.
    Try loading my addon without using ACP if all else fails. If I have time tonight i'll download ACP and see if I can dupe what you're experiencing

  • v0006 is awaiting curse.com to approve it for download. Once it is available, it has been tested to work on all the encounters currently supported. Finally, most of the annoying bugs are out of it - although i'm sure there are more small ones to fix.

  • Our guild ran this in Naxx today, and all went well except for the KT timer. Also Grobb marks weren't removed at the end of combat. Both of those should be fixed now in v0003. Also, in v0003 I added a new DoT Tracker for phase 3 malygos. Alot of these malygos addons on curse are useless, because they don't help you max your dps. This will - it tracks only your dots, time remaining on your stack, number of your stacks and the approximate dps that you're doing with the dot stack.

  • The bigwigs *should* continue to work, although we've had a few strange issues with it not enabling on Malygos - and i'm dumbfounded as to why. The guild in general prefers a lot of DBMs built in goodies, and it'd just be cumbersome to write those extras into BigWigs when its already working in DBM.

  • As a caution to all who are downloading v0001, this is the inital beta, and completely untested in the encounters. I am porting over my Bigwigs mod to DBM, v0001 being the first version that will be tested and fixed this week in my guild's raids.

    I appreciate any feedback from others who give it a try this week, but be prepared to disable the mod if it causes problems!
