    Updated.
    Fixed abbreviations since they didn't work at all since the latest patch (or the one before)
    Also reworked the copyframe functionality. It now should work as intended.
    And it shouldn't lag as much when too much info is stored in the frame (mainly because it doesn't store as much anymore)

    I've just made a test with a completely blank wtf folder etc.
    Scrolling works and Middle button works aswell.
    You might be using some addons that uses the same keybinds etc ?
    I've noticed a malfunction in the chat abbreviation though and i'm working to fix that right now.

  • Quite possibly. But thank you for updating the addon - I was using Prat (or whatever) it's called for a few weeks, and it had so many features I just wanted to throw my computer out of the window! But yeah, this is an awesome addon. :) *downloads newest version*

  • I've used this addon and it is absolutely wonderful, but after the latest patch it's been "broken". I haven't gotten any error messages with it on, but a few of the features on it, such as the middle-click to open a copy and paste box and the scrolling chat with the mousewheel haven't been working for me. I do NOT mean to be rude or come off as rude, but are there plans to update this addon in the next few weeks (or so)? Thank you for making this wonderful addon. Little to configure and it helps a lot.

    Hello Sfa,

    Can you please get in touch with WoWMatrix so as to enable their client to work with your add-on?

    I like your add-on a lot. However, my aim playing WoW isn't about spending hours downloading add-ons, but hours playing it.

    Thus - unless it can be included in my regular WoWmatrix update run, I will stop using it and encourage everyone doing same.

    Cheers,

    N.

    It's regretably that curse has blocked wowmatrix.
    Even so, threats won't get you anywhere.
    I have my addons on both curse and wowinterface for the users pleasure.
    If you don't want to use my addons because you're lazy that's fine.

    Ye i've noticed it. But i find it a bit strange since i use the internal variable for classcolours so there shouldn't be a problem there really. I'll have a look at it.

    You've probably already noticed this, but death knight names aren't showing up in their class color in chat. Which is kind of a shade of red, so you might want to change the color of the "show own nick in red" option while you're at it if they're too close.

    I just thought I would bring up a feature that you are missing form you mod. This is the editbox ability to use the arrows without holding down the alt key.

    I used to use LS_Chat for this and everything your od does, But I find your mod much better is the way it performs and the features it has.

    I have added this feature to my customchat mod folder's .lua, to make the ability to use the arrows and command history defaulted. I just added this function:

    function cc_EditBoxArrows()
    ChatFrameEditBox:SetAltArrowKeyMode(false);
    end

    underneath your editboxtop function and then added the line:

    cc_EditBoxArrows();

    within the cc_Update function.

    Of course my is set to be defaulted as false, which means arrows on, the default for blizzard is true for arrows off, and you must use the ALT+Arrow keys to use them. I am sure you could create a new option to have a choice for this. Which in my mind would make this a great chat mod. THis feature is the only thing I see lacking.

    I know you probably know most of this, so I will end it with a thanks for a great mod and hope you include this idea.

    The copy frame only process visible information to be safe =)
    I'll give it some more work in the future and some other fixes but for now i've excluded the combatlog from it in the new release. I also reworked the combatlog timestamp a bit.
    You can hide the minimap button by typing /cchat minimap for now. I'll see in the future if i add some options through the "normal interface options".

    Thanks =)

  • Ok, thx. What about hidden channels, e.g. from guild-/party-/raid-channels (used for addon communication, not visible by users themselves)? I assume they're also left out, but just to be sure :-) I'd still appreciate a way to simply switch the whole feature off, one additional checkbox in the options menu, that would be great.

    Thanks for the information about sticky chat. And I was wondering when Blizz included THAT :-D Perhaps this could be added to the description above. I'm sure many other people also do not know what is meant.

    Oh, one last thing, could you add the option to hide the minimap button? At the moment I'm grateful for every addon that adds its own options menu to the blizz menu (ESC => Interface => Addons).

    One more last thing: Thanks for the addon, keep up the good work! I really like it :-)

    I'm gonna work on a fix where it excludes the combatlog messages from the copy frame. That should make the load on the addon lower.

    Eh ? Ok i'll have to check on that tonight =)
    Sticky is that when you have f.ex party sticky and guild not sticky and you speak in party and then you speak in guild afterwards. the chat defaults back to the latest sticky (in this case the party chat)

  • I had to deactivate CC, most likely because of the new chat copy functionality. When CC is activated, I'm in an instance and participate in any fight (e.g. headless horseman), frame rate drops to about 0.5/s, game is unplayable and takes the whole cpu power. My suspicion is that in these fights there's a lot of combat log and perhaps even "chat messages" from (hidden) addon channels (Dmg-Meter etc), so the chat copy needs much more ressources to copy all that. So please include the possibility to switch of chat copy, or just remove it. At the moment the addon will stay deactivated, otherwise I wouldn't be able to play.

    PS: When is a chat message sticky, what effect do these switches have?
