  • About Critline
  •

Original concept by Sordit. This is a complete rewrite by Uggh and Feyde, now maintained (and pretty much re-rewritten) by me.

Critline is an addon that will remember your highest hits and crits (including heals and pet attacks), and display them in a tooltip.

Features:
- Keeps a database of the highest hits and crits for each individual spell and displays them in a simple (or, if you prefer, advanced) summary tooltip.
- Splash message upon new records. (configurable)
- Filter out mobs and spells that will not be recorded. (useful for mobs that are vulnerable to some sort of damage)
- Builtin filter for special mobs and auras that causes abnormally high hits. (can be bypassed) See CritlineFilters.lua for details.
- Announce your records.
- LibDataBroker feed for displaying on Titan Panel, FuBar and more. (FuBar requires Broker2FuBar)

- deDE localisation by Destoxillo.
- esES localisation by Vladixlaus.

If you are willing and able to provide localization, please head over to the localization page! It would be greatly appreciated.

Doh, thanks for that, problem solved i guess :P

And yeah, it ought to be the same hallucinations as the ones in HoR, hope you get to see them some day (in ICC)! :)

I'm going to assume that these hallucinations are identical to the ones in the Halls of Reflection, then. Only one of them can be found on Wowhead. I've yet to venture past Saurfang myself.

Oh, I see. You're using this?

That would explain it all. :P Because that's actually a completely separate addon. It collects its own data and doesn't represent or affect any data collected by my addon. Well.. shouldn't, anyway. I recommend you only use one of these.

Okay, we did ToC tonight and i remembered to put on debug mode on twins, were it clearly said that Fjola Lightbane was in the mob filter, but new record crits were still being splashed... still don't know what's wrong :P

In the new wing in the ICC raid, there are valkyrs that spawn Phantom Hallucinations (the Valkyrs are flying around the huge lift after Saurfang), which seems to take extra damage from just about anything.

I might have discovered what's wrong, i'm using your addon together with the TitanPanel plugin, and in the TP plugin there was an option about special mobs which wasn't checked, maybe it's alright now.

Oh yeah, heh. I was gonna write something there but I decided not to. :P Well what the heck, just that it should say "Critline: Icehowl is in mob filter." if that feature is working as intended.

I mainly meant what spells it registers on Icehowl, but hmm.. I don't think Oculus drakes' abilites should be registered.

Lastly, I've added these already in an internal version, but the ones I'm thinking of are in the Halls of Reflection. Are these different than the ones you're thinking of?

It register all kind off spells, even while on the oculus drakes and whatnot, and the "ignore mob filter" option is NOT checked.
I'll see if i get around doing toc during the week, try to remember debug mode.

Did you loose sentance after "combat situation." by the way? Seems like that for me :)
    Thanks for trying to help.

Btw, you might want to integrate the Phantom Hallucinations that the ICC valkyrs spawn in the mob filter, they seems to take extra damage.

    @ chinobar:
Debugging just prints certain information from the addon in the chat frame. You'll want to enable it only shortly before you need it, as it will most likely become rather spammy in a combat situation. It

Other things; you've not enabled the "Ignore mob filter" option, right? Does it register all spells?

I vaguely remember such a feature being implemented some time ago, but I removed it since I think I didn't find it very useful. But I can see why you'd want that. I'll reconsider.

Is there anyway you can have it record the date it happened? Like have it put what the in-game calendar said at the time you got the crit?

They are all in the integrated mob filter, so you shouldn't even have to add them manually. What version are you running? Could you enable debugging (/cl debug) next time and confirm that it does _not_ say that the mobs in question are filtered?

Okay, i did ToC yesterday and crits on Icehowl were recorded, forgot to activate debug mode though..
How do i use debugging though, any files stored somewhere that i should look through?

Hmm, CritLine still records from Icehowl and Twins, even though i have added their names to the mob filter..

    1. Think I'm gonna keep the current behaviour, then. :) If I wanted to register crazy hits I guess I wouldn't care in which encounter it was, hehe.

    4. Ohh, now I see! :P I totally didn't notice that at all, just the numbers having different colors. And you're absolutely right, that would make it a lot more readable.
