  • About Critline
  •

Originally created by Sordit, this is a complete rewrite by Uggh (Titan Critline) and Feyde, now maintained by me.

Critline is an addon that will remember your highest hits and crits (including heals and pet attacks), and display them in a fairly simple tooltip.

Features:
- Keeps a database of the highest hits and crits for each individual spell and displays them in a simple (or, if you prefer, advanced) summary tooltip.
- Splash message upon new records. (configurable)
- Filter out mobs and spells that will not be recorded. (useful for mobs that are vulnerable to some sort of damage)
- Builtin filter for special mobs and auras that causes abnormally high hits. (can be bypassed) See CritlineFilters.lua for details.
- Announce your records.
- LibDataBroker feed for displaying on Titan Panel, FuBar and more. (FuBar requires Broker2FuBar)

If you are willing and able to provide localization, please head over to the localization page! It would be greatly appreciated.

2.1.0 Scaling isn't saved any more. It resets @ 100%

It's an interesting thought, but I'm not sure how well it fits within the scope of this addon. It will also require quite a bit of rewriting. I will consider it for a future update, though. Thanks for your feedback!

It would be cool to have an end-of-battle DPS record tracked. A possibility for the next update?

Time for a pretty big update! 2.1.0 features lots of small to medium sized changes, including a more robust system for tracking pet records. No more registering hits from quest pets!

I've worked "hard" to eliminate any potential bugs, but with all these changes it's tough to make it perfect. Feel free to report any and all anomalities, and as always; please enable Lua errors in Interface options and paste the error here if you get one.

    Thanks!

You have disabled "Record PvE" and enabled "Record PvP", yes? Which version are you using? Do you get any kind of PvE records, or is it just from some type of mob or something?

Sorry for the mess with all the renaming and stuff, but this will be easier (for me, at least) in the long run.

    Hello Sordit,
my deepest apologies. My simple excuse is that I had no idea of who the original author in fact was. (actually, I somehow thought it was Uggh, but he was the one who came up with the Titan Critline branch, I realised)

I agree, it is sad that the original author has been forgotten, but I will, from now on, do my best to make sure it will never happen. You, of course, deserve to be honored, as well. It's a great idea you came up with back then. :)

    Thanks a lot.

I didn´t want to make you guilty for that. I already thought you just don´t know I was the original autor. With that many versions already it´s nearly impossible, cause a lot of ppl just forget to write down the original autor.

I´m very happy you do such a good work with the addon. Keep it going. ;)

    Hi Lombra,

it´s nice to see my Addons is still updated and developed that much.
At the moment there are so many versions of it and I´m happy that so many ppl are using it.
But somehow I miss my name in the autors line. Cause I´m still the one that developed Criltline on my own and its sad that the name of the original autor is already forgotten...

    Best greets Sordit

Adding targets by name is something I've considered, too. Currently it can be done by doing:
/run tinsert(CritlineMobFilter, "Mob name goes here")
But I'll add implement a more convenient way. :)

I'll add this heart to the standard filter, as well.

Is there some way to manually add mobs you are not targeting to the mob filter? I have always found having to target a mob to add it to be problematic (particularly because most of the time when I'm looking at critline I'm not in a raid, and not all raid mobs are easily accessible for this targeting purpose). Aside from that point, could Heart of the Deconstructor (level 80) be added to the built in filter? It seems to take double damage.

It shouldn't be. I notice that the files reported in your FrameXML log are all new for r16, hmm...

Maybe it is an localisation problem? I'm using the german client.

Well, I don't know what to say. I just deleted my own folders, downloaded r16 off this site, and it works.

The FrameXML log doesn't parse Lua files, "Error loading *Lua file*" means it wasn't found. Lua errors appear in game instead.

All listed files where on their place.

I just downgraded to version r13, patched toc to 3.10 and anything is fine.

updated to r16 again -> same error messages as posted.

BTW: "error loading ..." doesn't mean "file not found".

it means errors within this file or errors using code in this file.
