Try opening that file and changing GetAddonInfo to GetAddOnInfo. Just a typo on Calidore's part, I suspect. =P

Thanks, that did the trick :) Didn't know the LUA was so case-sensitive.

  • Yeah, noticed it to yesterday and have already released an update.

As of the latest upgrade, I don't even see a list of the modules under the options, and they don't turn on anymore, either.

  • Should be fixed.

  • Hello I use and Love Copilot. I havn't gotten any errors and would like to thank you for your hard work. I was also wondering if you would do me a favor and make another module for turning in cloth to major citys and maybe other repeatable quests of the sort. There used to be mods for things like this but I cant find any good ones anymore and yours work so well I just thought you could make it easy. I tried to look at your code and figure it out myself but I am by no means any good with Lua or any other formats. Please help me. I would love to see more modules for this mod. And thx again.

  • Well, thank you for the flowers. :)
I'd love to write more modules for Copilot, but at the moment I keep refining LibCopilot, which means I have to track those changes in all my modules. This is a lot of work and I don't really have enough time as it is.
That said, you only do these quests so many times. Daily quests, on the other hand, you might do every day for quite a long time. So, I personally don't see a need for it right now, but once the API stablizes and I've written documentation for Copilot, I encourage anyone to develop their own modules.

I have Copilot with the Argent Tournament and Ulduar Teleporters modules. One or all of these do not play nicely with DBM. (/dbm will cause an error every time.) Worse is that this problem does not go away simply by disabling the copilot modules and reloading the UI. A complete relog must be done to flush the problem.

    Reply Report Permalink
  • Actually I use DBM as well without any problems. There used to be a problem with earlier versions of Copilot. Please make sure you're using the most recent version of Copilot and delete the SavedVariables file WTF\Account\YOUR_ACCNAME\SavedVariables\Copilot.lua.

  • I keep getting this error (and yes, I have LibCoPilot installed):

  • Ok, you'll need to give me a hint. I see where in the code it's happening, but I don't see why.
I'm assuming you're talking to a quest NPC, when the error occurs, right? Can you tell me which one? And which faction and class are you playing? Since this error is actually caused by Copilot_AT, this matters greatly.
In the meantime, I'll try to reproduce the error on my own.

  • Yes, anytime I speak to one of the Argent Tournament NPC's to pick up a quest, I get this error message:

[2009/10/23 11:12:24-1947-x3]: Copilot-0.2.1-beta-r2\Libs\LibCopilot-0.1\GUID\GUID.lua:72: bad argument #1 to 'ssub' (string expected, got nil)

    ---

Otherwise, it works perfectly fine when I mount one of the Tournament-related mounts (ie: automatically equips my lance, disables Gossips from Champions I'm about to joust with).

If it really does help, my faction is Alliance.

  • I'm about to add some debug code to help me track down this issue. I'm unable to reproduce it systematically, but using all the reports pertaining to this issue I finally got an idea what might be causing it.

Hmm, I'm getting this error on login:

I'm running disembedded, if that makes a difference

    Reply Report Permalink
  • Do you have LibCopilot installed? It's a dependency, that is embeded in Copilot, which you will obviously have to install separately, when running disembedded.

    Reply Report Permalink
  • Sleepie said

Yes it's installed. I use Curse Client, which handles the dependencies. I checked all the libs present in the embedded version of Copilot, and they're all installed disembedded.

    Reply Report Permalink
  • Odd. During development, I actually work disembedded as well. The Libraries are included by the CurseForge packager, that creates the .zip files, so I have LibCopilot installed as a regular addon.
Let me take another look at my WoW addon folder, I will get back to you.

  • The only thing I can imagine is, you are missing LibStub, which is so common, that it's highly unlikely.
I added a few assertions to LibCopilot 0.1.0-beta-r1 to address this.
