Burnout tracks Living Bomb, Hot Streak, and Scorch per target.

It displays info as retreating timer bars with each bar identified by the icon that embraces it.

Scorch is tracked on up to ten targets. It only shows the time left on the current target.

Enjoy!

Slash commands:

/bo size_down - decrease size
/bo size_up - increase size
/bo on
/bo off
/bo reset
/bo version

NEW : v 1.20
* Highlight effect for noticing Hot Streaks easier
* /bo version added, check yourself before you wreck yourself
* Some bugs fixed.

To Do :
* Scorch list. No longer will multiple mages need to apply scorch...you'll know when it's your turn!

  • Interact with hundreds of thousands of other gamers on an open social network.
  • Post your stories, news, images, videos, and other content to share.
  • Create a network with your fellow gamers or join an existing one.
  • Gain reputation for everything you do.
  • I too would like to see some way of locking the window in place... screen real estate is at a premium with the number of add-ons I use, and constant clicking in multiple areas makes it frustrating to move something you didn't mean to.

  • Updated Images so you can read exactly what's proc'd.

For those as dense as I am, who like things being more obvious, I updated the images for the 3 indicators: Living Bomb, Scorch and Hot Streak. They now show, in bold text, exactly what's proc'd/active.

    You can grab them here:

control-click (PC) or option-click (Mac) to download them.

    Hope these help!

  • Is anyone else having a problem with burnout no longer tracking scorch properly?

    Reply Report Permalink
  • Yes. Sometimes it tracks Scorch fine, sometimes it doesn't. Might be related to multiple mages in the group, but I'm not sure.

  • I'd love to start using the addon, but I'm unable to relocate it on my screen. How do I unlock the frame to position it properly?

  • Tracking Shadow Mastery as Imp Scorch would be nice with patch 3.1 out.

  • Very nice addon :D
In raids I usually didn't notice when Hot Streak procced, and I was a bit slow to recast Living Bomb 'cause I didn't notice that it was gone. But it's quite a lot easier to remember because of your addon.

Only thing I'd like to see, is some way to resize the bar so it doesn't fill as much on the screen. Or an out-of-combat fading like a lot of others have suggested.
Another thing that would be nice, would be if the bars could be moved separately. That way it'd be possible to have Hot Streak tracer and Living Bomb tracker in the middle of the screen, and Scorch to one ot the sides as it lasts quite a bit longer that the two others.

But anyways, once again thanks for a wonderful addon. Keep up the good work.

A text option on bars would be great so that we can tell which bar is what, and if it would not show anything unless there is a spell that can be tracked by burnout would be awesome as well. Think like the bars in Cooldowncount...

I would love a version of this to only track Hot Streaks would be awesome, and if it would send a message to the screen like a raid warning would be nice.

Smizzle, this add-on is great, it has really come in handy for me, and I've recommended it to my guildies.

My suggestion is to slightly change the appearance of the bars. What I'd really like to see is an indication of how long my Hot Streak buff is going to last. But rather than showing a number, which is one extra thing to read, it would be cool if the bar had ticks on it so that I could see how many GCD's are left before Hot Streak ends. So the bar could say be alternating light brown and dark brown like ---+++---+++---+++--- , where each "---" or "+++" represents 1.5 seconds (or better yet, my GCD modified by haste / IV / heroism etc.) This helps me know if I have time to scorch or living bomb before my HS expires.

Perhaps what I'm describing could be implemented only by replacing the image file of the HS bar with a different image file with ticks in it. I'll experiment.

I guess you could also show just a timer in seconds, and leave it as an exercise to the user to determine if there's more than 1.5 seconds to go.

Regardless, as it is now, this addon is swell. Thanks!

As a raiding mage this addon isn't just useful, it's a must have for anyone that wants to get the most out of their DPS. The only tweak to improve this would be to add a combat fader so it would lose alpha out of combat.

    In my top 5 list.

Thanks Smirch. As you say, this addon was developed out of necessity. The next version of Burnout will have some type of combat-aware display mode, since this is a common request.

  • I love this; it has become one of my favourites. Is it possible to add a FrostFire timer to it?
Also, adding more skins, or making it easy for people to make their own skins would rock.
    Thank you for making this.

Thanks Ravenscaur. What do you mean by FrostFire timer?
As for skins, all the art is in a subfolder and editable if you like. I thought about making the color changeable, but I wanted to keep the mod really light and simple.

  • Well, I realise this makes me sound really lazy (I AM playing in a virtual reality, so what the hey), but I'm looking for the FrostFire tick to be shown on there, as well. Cheers.

I have a feeling that you downloaded 1.10, as it says 6 people have done just that. AFAIK I can't remove old versions, so it's up to you to get the latest version. Please download the newest version, 1.11. You will like Burnout much better than Scorchio, I promise.

I see how to delete files now. 1.10 is officially removed.

I'm currently in a 10-man Naxx using your addon. I love the addon and it's worked great for me solo and in 5-mans, but it's not showing any bars actively in this 10-man. It looks as though I'm just standing there doing nothing. I'm using the English client, so localization shouldn't be an issue.
