BadKitty is a debuff tracker for Feral Druids.  Originally designed to accurately track Mangle's remaining time regardless of how many Ferals or Arms Warriors were in the raid, it has grown to track all buffs, debuffs, and cooldowns important to every cat (and bear) who cares about their damage output.

Savage Roar, Mangle (Trauma included), Faerie Fire, Rip, Rake, Tiger's Fury, Berserk, Glyph of Shred charges, Omen of Clarity, Predator's Swiftness, Demoralizing Roar (Demo Shout, CoW included), Lacerate, and Barkskin are all tracked and take into account any overlapping debuffs that may exist in your group or raid.

In both Cat and Bear Forms, two options are available for you.  A small bar frame akin to many simliar mods, and a unique 'warning' frame that displays on your screen images of any buff or debuff that will soon need your attention.  These two options can be used independently or simultaneously.  Color, texture, and opacity options are available for these as well.

If you have any errors, questions, comments, or suggestions, put them in the comments here, or come bug me on Gul'dan.  I try to improve BadKitty when I can, so your words will not fall on deaf ears.  Happy Shredding!

-Anatinus

How do we even get this addon to show? Where is the commands list? WTF

/badkitty or /bk. Or open up the options menu blizzard gave.

But, if it's not showing on install, that probably means it's not installed correctly. Default settings have stuff show up automatically in combat.

Last night I was on a ToC without any warriors and was finally able to identify what's causing the Demo Roar bar not to show activity even though I cannot apply it (and FBN isn't prompting me to apply it either).

    Ret Pally Vindication.

Any chance of an update to catch this?

  • How do you actually move the frames around on your screen? I have tried everything and it doesnt say anywhere how to.

Ever since Curse broke it's compatibility with Wine (and then moved the client to .net... /rolleyes) I've been using WoWMatrix to keep my addon's up to date. Unfortunately WoWMatrix can't access BadKitty since the licence doesn't allow them to grab a copy to host locally. Would you mind sending them a note giving them permission to do so? http://www.wowmatrix.com/contact.html

    I'll do that right away.

Also, how does WoW run under wine (and what distro are you using)? I've been wanting to try it out.

I'm using Kubuntu 9.10. It runs really well, although I'd like to upgrade my PC. I think that it's more CPU bound then GFX bound in Wine. I'm using a Nvidia 8500GT in an Athlon/64 2.6Ghz. I notice some choppiness while it's loading models from the disk, and in some 25mans with lots of things going on at once my frame-rate drops pretty low. I want an i7 :)
Oh, and if you're going to try it, turn off the fancy window management features that KDE4 has while you're playing. All those features use up GPU time.

I'm getting the error window popping up and it will not allow me to close it. After a few seconds a window pops up telling me that my addons are slowing down my performance and I should disable them. As it stands now, I am unable to use badkitty at all.

What does the error say? And are you running other mods?

Hi, sorry for the lack of info. I decided to see if any other addons were the problem and loaded only badkitty, but I got the same error. This is what pops up first:
    http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/6716/error1w.jpg

and this is the final 15/15 error message with the 'count' that doesn't stop and keeps going higher and higher. I am unable to close the window even I choose to ignore and not disable the addon:

 There's a typo in the code that handles older previous versions.

Open up BadKitty.lua, go to line 377, and replace the 'b' in 'badKittyCFrames' with a capital 'B'.

If you don't have line numbers, ctrl+F it. Sorry about that. I'll get it fixed.

Great addon that's just getting better it seems, and it'll be featured in my upcoming Guide: How To Feral DPS video.

    Wishlist:
Tickmarks a la EventHorizon for when damage actually occurs.
Option to track short-term buffs/debuffs that dramatically affect us, i.e. Shattering Throw, Hysteria, Sunders, Horn of Winter, etc.

Thanks for the work with this great addon.

I will request that debuff watching for Demoralizing Roar will enable when a warrior use Demoralizing Shout or when a paladin actives Vindication. Is annoying spam Demoralizing Roar and think that it failed instead of that situation.

PS: English is my second lenguage
