Note: While the current version of the addon shows as Out of Date, It is still perfectly compatible with 3.2.0.

I'm currently in the process of updating AutoQuest 2 (1.1.3) to Version 2.0!

Description

AutoQuest 2 works exactly like the Auto Loot function in the default World of Warcraft interface. This AddOn is set by default to automatically accept and complete all quests while the Shift key is held down. When the addon is in Enable mode, all quests will be accepted and completed without needing to hold Shift. However, this action can be temporarily disabled by holding down the Shift key. The quest will not be accepted or completed and the default Blizzard quest frame will be shown.

Slash Commands

Arguments

Mod: Accepts and completes quests while you hold the Shift key. (Default)
Enable: Auto accepts and completes ALL quests. (Hold shift to override)
Disable: Prevents the addon from auto accepting or completing any quests.
Verbose: Display quest info in the chat frame.
Help: Shows this help menu.

  • Sorry for the slow updates. I've been working on this addon off and on lately.

    I still plan on releasing the next biggest version of AutoQuest 2, which will include a whole bunch of new features, plus overall improvements.

    The new version is guaranteed to be finished by 3.3, though probably even sooner.

    Also, I've been reading your comments and suggestions for new features and I haven't forgotten about them. Look forward to seeing a bunch of cool new stuff!

  • What happens if one quest provides multiple rewards and you have to chose? Can it be set to autoselect 1st reward, or a particular reward? (I'm thinking about Booty Bay fishing tournament, where this addon would work wonders)

  • hey im new to this add-on thing and wow (i have a level 14) and i tried this out but i have no idea how to use it so i was wondering if some1 can help me. i saw it said it auto-accepts but i got a quest and nothing happened.

  • Just to make things clear: This addon doesn't do the quests for you. It automatically accepts and TURNS IN the quests that the NPC has available or are active when you talk to them. This means that you don't have to click through all the dialog boxes presented by the NPC.

    I highly suggest reading the Readme file included with the addon.

    AutoQuest 2 is set by default to automatically accept and complete quests ONLY while the key is held down. This can be changed by typing the following in the chat box: /autoquest2 enable This allows all available quests to be accepted and active quests to be turned in to the NPC when you talk to them.
    Note: Holding while in this mode temporarily disables the automation.

    FYI: There is a problem with this mod run at the same time as with the mod EasyDaily. It will cause AQ2 to always be in Enable mode.

    fostot, thanks for the bug report. I've fixed what I think is causing the issue. If you still run into the same problem in the next release, let me know.

    rdmendo, the reason that the two addons are conflicting is probably caused by how the gossip events are handled by them. You might have to talk to the author of Gossipmonger since he knows more about how his addon was written than I do.

    picachu, I'll try to add this feature by the time 3.2 is out. In the meantime, there's an addon called "Get To The Point" that will do this. It just isn't as easy to use or as lightweight as Autoquest 2. It also requires you to click through dialog windows, which my addon does not.

    xXNemesis781Xx, of course this addon doesn't do the actual work required for the quest. It simply bypasses the chat windows normally used to select, accept, and turn in the quests that the NPC has available.

  • It doesn't do the actual work, as it has been stated here multiple times. All it does is that you see a ! on a npc, you right click, and you got the quest(s) already, without having to read and/or click accept or continue. Then, after you've done all the work and completed the quest, you go back and right click, and it turns the q in.

    One more small bug for you Ghettogreen. When you have multiple quests on the same guy where 1 offers a reward and one doesn't. It locks up the dialog and you have to run away from the person and run back and turn in manually.
