  • About Auction Snatch
  •

Auction Snatch keeps a saved list of items you want to buy from the Auction House, and automatically scans the Auction House for every item on your list. It's very fast and will happen before you have time to type anything. If an auction is found, a prompt will appear to ask you what you want to do. The selections in the Prompt are self-explanatory.

Many mods keep track of items you want to remember or search for - but I found it tedious to keep selecting items in the list. Auction Snatch automates that process. I no longer worry about missing the rare Hyacinth Macaw in the auction house!

Directions: A new tab will appear on the Auction House Frame. Clicking that will bring up the interface. Type in your search queries, hit enter, and then when your list is complete, click 'Start Search'.

  • Checking the 'Auto Search' button will automatically start searching when you open the auction house. Or you can hold Shift as you open the Auction House.
  • 'Esc' will always close any open frames.
  • Items can be added to an 'ignore list'. Next search, you will not be bothered by that item. You may also ignore items above a certain price with the 'too expensive' button.
  • Add items to your list by shift-clicking chat links.
  • Double-click an item while at the Auction House to search for just that item.
  • Items in the list may be repositioned by dragging them.
  • A single click in the list will bring up a small option box for that item.
  • A small manual override field appears at the prompt dialogue, to manually override the 'too expensive' conditions. Very handy if you get lots of results from a search and don't want to click 'too expensive' for each one. (Eg. Searching for all Decks under 200g). IF you don't like how the field only accepts gold values, you may change this with the command '/as copperoverride'. And vice versa, if you don't like entering copper values due to all those zeros.

I'm having an issue and I'm not sure if its a user error since I just recently downloaded the addon, or if it can actually be a problem.

When searching the AH for my items I have in AuctionSnatch, it is on auto search. Upon searching I see items within my designated price range and non-bid (which I filtered off) but the addon doesn't realize it's there. I frequently see an error Can't send query just at the moment, but I'm not sure if that is this addon or Auctioneer.

I end up having to close the AH window, re-opening it, refreshing the prices of the items then re-opening Auction Snatch. Sometimes it will work and other times I will have to try it again. I'm in love with the addon, it makes it so much easier to find specific items I want within my price range without having to click so many buttons.

Also: Is there a way to get it to search only one item? Example: I have 5 different items I want it to look for, but frequently I only need to refresh the first item as its sold more often. When I hit search again it will often pull up the last item in the list only. I'm not getting any actual errors with it, I'm hoping its fixable!

Can you add the ability to close the window by clicking the AS tab again?

Any idea why the Curse Client thinks that Auction Snatch is an "unidentified addon"? Even when I update to the latest version using the Curse Client, it still shows up in the Unidentified Addons list.

Just edit the file named auctionsnatchinterface.lua
    Line number 614
at the end of the line you can see
    " * COPPER_PER_GOLD"
Meaning of that is quite intuitive. So, you can just delete that multiplication if you want to enter the price in copper itself, or as I like it, change COPPER_PER_GOLD to SILVER_PER_GOLD.

Loving the addon but like someone said earlier could or is it in fact possible to add the feature to put in amounts of less than 1G for a cut off price. This sounds strange but I scour the AH for these items which usually sell for 1G to convert into inf dust. Would be very helpful.

Actually, the more I play with it, it seems the addon is broken in 3.2.2. the responses are intermittent. I have 4 items in the list and when i do a search, it skips over some items. its different every time. I've tried this with r6 and r7

Not sure if I sent you the mesage in the right place dax:

Could you add the ability to specify the gold and silver amount in the newly added ignore field? currently if you ignore a price and specify your own, you have to choose whole 'g' numbers, but when dealing with precise smaller valued items, you need to differentiate between 1g51s and 1g20s.

Ran into something very annoying - the autosearch popped up with an item as soon as I went to the AH (as it supposed to). I left the buyout pop up there while I looked at a couple of other things, then decided to buy the thing in my saved search popup. Instead of buying that item though, it bought an item from the AH page I was on.

If the popup from this mod isn't going to actually buy the item it is asking me about (because I did a different item search in the normal AH ui), then it shouldn't give me the appearance of an option to do so.

An option for ignoring auctions with no buyout, and/or ignoring all bid prices has been implemented.

i can't seem to figure out how to make this addon count the lowest price per one item first, it always gives me the more expensive single items before the more expensive, yet least expensive price per item first. Does anyone know how to make it show me the least expensive price per item first?

Hi, I find this addon is great, while I am running Naxx with my guild to gear myself up I am using AS in conjunction with RAWR to find the best gear I can possibly purchase if I don't get the drops I want in Naxx. Is it possible for AS to load an external list (.csv produced by RAWR for example) so I am not cut and pasting so much ? No biggie if you can't though, will still be using it.

Why is the May 28 download above the same version number (3.1) as the earlier May 7 download? When you make changes, the version number should increase.
