Bug Reports and Feature Requests

The comments are not meant to be used for reporting bugs and feature requests. Especially long stack dumps will clutter up the comments section and make it hard to follow. This may result in your post being unnoticed. Also you have no idea what happened with your post and you will not be able to track its status. The best thing to do in this case is file a ticket.
Filing a ticket is not hard. You can use the same credentials as on other Curse Network websites. Please read How to file tickets before posting.

If you like to express your appreciation for the effort that has been put into Armory (and keep me awake to be able to maintain it), press the donate button and buy me a cup of coffee. For those interested: I drink black, extra dark roast. And here you can read how it al started.
For those who did make a donation: thanks, consider yourself as one of the people responsible for keeping Armory alive...

  • i just downloaded your addon and i love it. only one minor issue... i use fubar which seems to cause the minimap button to disappear. any way to make those 2 addons a little more compatible?

It's a setting... Use "/ar config" to change it to your liking or install broker2fubar to get the icon in your bar.

  • ok...got broker2fubar, its so-so. but at least i dont have to keep typing, going into interface or using a macro. as for the options, i have the "minimap button" activated and when im in the config window, its right there. as soon as i exit the config window it disappears but only if i have fubar running. the minimap button worked better and faster than the fubar option. any other suggestions?

The button is always visible when you're in its configuration menu. Try switching off "Hide minimap button when FuBar is loaded".

By the way, you can avoid typing by assigning a hot key to Armory, e.g. Alt-C to toggle, in WoW's Key Binding menu. Please click the CurseForge link in More Information above to read more about Armory's usage.

Some time ago Armory switched from a separate FuBar and Titan plug-in to LibDataBroker (LDB). So did a lot of other add-ons. By providing a LDB data feed an add-on can be used in a variety of LDB display add-ons, like Titan, FuBar (with Broker2FuBar), ButtonBin, DockingStation etc.

Broker2FuBar will expose any LDB add-on as a FuBar plug-in and by using /b2f you can control what you want to see in FuBar.

Hey Warmexx. I am a new user to Armory, and so far I love it. There are 2 feature I was wondering if you could include. I was wondering if you could have armory hook in to ArcInventory. I just think if possible it would be nice not to have redundant addons. So if only one logged the inventory, I think it would be better. Also I was wondering if you could make it so that we can pull up our alts mounts so we can show them off without logging out and back in.

You can turn off Armory's inventory. Or you can use Combuctor or Bagnon in combination with Armory which has a separate integration module (Bagnon_Armory).

Mounts are supported in the inventory module but in that case switching it off would disable that.

First off, thank you for the addon. The mail expiration check is extremely helpful and is the most often used function.

I updated to the latest version (7.4.1) yesterday and I noted today that there was about a five second delay in being able to pick up items (left-click) in my inventory and either sell them to a vendor (right-click) or just move them around. This wasn't happening before the update. Should I purge the database or something to resolve this? OptionHouse is showing massive CPU time for Armory when this happens.

There are a few things to note about this. First of all I suggest to turn off the “Prefer memory over processing speed” option (it takes some time as your database will be converted instantly).
Version 7.3 switched to a binary storage format which uses about 40% less memory when loaded but uses more CPU to process. Also reagent counts were introduced for recipe tooltips, but alas that also introduced a bug that was eating CPU power. In version 7.4.1 this should be fixed though and an extra mechanism has been implemented to speed up retrieving item counts from memory. But that mechanism only kicks in when the option mentioned above has been disabled.

If your previous version was 7.3 I'll be puzzled because the opposite should be true.

I just did this and also removed a few modules that I never use. It's much snappier now. Thank you!

Oh, one more thing. I see a way for mail to be monitored in the configuration. I'd like to leave it at "3 days" but I'd also like to see something that would tell me if I'm going to be away for seven days such as "/ar check 7" to force a check for seven days. Would this be an easy addition?

Your suggestion has been implemented in my development version already. So it will be included in the next release.

  • If you can, I would add it so you can look up anyone on any server. Not just your own and not just your guild mates. The ability to look up information on everyone directly from Blizzards Armory in game would be the best addon in the game. It would really help when it comes to pugging people or recruiting to the guild.

I know a lot of people would like this, but add-ons are not able to communicate to the outside world. So it's impossible to accomplish.

Also, is there any chance to implement "time left" on buffs/debuffs (and maybe items), both on those that freeze after you log out and those that tick regardless of whether you're online or not, just like the "trick or treat" debuff. Basically, I wanted to be able to check exactly how much time I have for the next trick or treat while playing on an alt.

I just finished a release that took a lot of time to develop so for the short term don't expect anything because my family likes to see me again ;)

Please add your request in the ticketing system (see Bug Reports and Feature Requests above) and I'll see what I can do.

    Hey

I don't know if anyone posted it, but is there any chance to add sorting to the search window? Namely, I was interested in "sort by number of items in a stack" thingy.

If you use "/ar find inventory" you'll get a consolidated report.

This is true, although the results are still sorted alphabetically, while I would also like to see an option to sort them ascending/descending by the number of items in a stack ;]

Is it possible to provide info on guildies? I am trying to get gearscores on them and they are on a complete different area then me so i cant get one. I thought i could use this to look them up which woudl provide me with their gear and then a gearscore. is this possible?

You can use /ar lookup to get information on any character of one of your guildies provided they didn't block it. It's a lot of data so be patient while waiting for a response. The details of the character retrieved can also be inspected in your Armory's paperdoll. In this case the character info will remain in your own character list until you manually delete it or logout.

  • Hey, just wanted to say thanks for this addon. Makes it alot easier to keep track of all your chars and items.

I have one request though. Would it be possible to support ManyItemTooltips (unlimited tooltips open at the same time) for showing what characters have what items? In its current form only the first tooltip you open will have this information.

    Thanks
