About Advanced Trade Skill Window

ATSW is a complete replacement for Blizzards tradeskill window with more overview and special functions.

This replacement (works for all tradeskills, now even enchanting!) provides you with:

- a better overview
The ATSW is bigger than the standard window, resulting in a much better overview over the thousands of items you can produce. Additionally, it lets you sort your recipes either by groups (as in the standard window), alphabetically or by difficulty. Alternatively, ATSW even lets you create your own groups and sort the recipes the way you like!
ATSW also has a filter function: enter something into the filter line and ATSW hides all recipes that don't contain the text you entered. But this filter function can do more: it's a powerful search function that can filter for minimum/maximum level requirements, producable item counts, item rarity (color) and reagents necessary. Check out the readme for details on using this function!

The ATSW has a production queue: you can queue several different items and have them all produced automatically by just clicking one button.
The ATSW is able to consider items you have to produce in order to use them as reagents in the production of other items. So: if you need item A to produce item B, you don't have to manually produce first item A, then item B. The ATSW does that for you: you just tell it to produce item B and it automatically queues the production of item A and - afterwards - item B. If you are missing some reagents to produce both items you get a message telling you exactly which reagents you need.
ATSW helps you telling your friends what reagents you need for a specific item: just click on a recipe with your shift-key pressed and the chat line opened and the reagent info will be added to the chat line.
ATSW shows you what reagents you need to process the whole production queue. It even tells you how many of each reagent you have in your bank, on alternative characters on the same server (in this case, it can even tell you on which characters) and which reagents are buyable from merchants. In case of buyable reagents ATSW can automatically buy all missing and available items from a merchant when you are speaking to him.

Please note that ATSW has grown to be quite a complex addon and it might still contain some bugs. Please tell me if you encounter one so I can fix them.

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP has a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

This addon is completely useless now. After it has created a list of items that you can create for 2 or more of your characters, it will cause the game to either lockup, freeze for a very long time, or even crash. It appears to be related to how many items that you can make. Once you hit a certain number, all this begins to happen even after a clean install. Since all of my characters have 2 professions of high levels, just learning all the combines of 2 of my characters causes this to happen. Until its fixed, I'm being forced to use other mods that don't have this problem.

can you add support so that crafting professions show the level required to equip the crafted item among the list? (this is something skillet had - thou this addon is much better)
its a pain in the ass making gear for a level XX; when you gotta go through most items.

When I try to use the enchanting recipes Large Prismatic Shard and Small Prismatic Shard, ATSW doesn't seem to realize that I have the required mats to make it. I can create them fine, but it won't let me click create all or queue all and it causes WoW to lag when the spell starts and ends.

Also, is there anyway to add Guild Bank support instead of just my character's banks and then being able to select which Guild Banks to count towards my inventory count? I'm in a raiding guild (I can see the Guild Bank, but can't withdraw from it) and I have my own Guild Bank on an alt (which I have full access to), so I wouldn't want it to tell me I can make 10 of X because the mats are in the raiding guild's bank even though I can't get the mats.

Besides the bug and missing feature, ATSW is an amazing addon. Thx for all the work you've put into it.

ok huge issue, if i have a profession window open while using this addon and initiate a trade with another player, almost all of my recipe's in enchanting are missing, i actually see about 4/5ths of them disappear from the list completely, i can use my list in exactly the same way but it's as if i simply don't have the recipe's, the higher end recipe's seem to be the ones that stay, and the only way to get all recipe's back is by using the /console reloadui command, please fix, no errors from this,

also the queue function seems extremely finicky, sometimes when hitting create more than once to get 2 queues it skips from 1 to 3, the queue sometimes doesn't clear properly after usage as well and i have to clear it manually, ty, i love your addon!!!!!

Hi there!

I have a problem with this addon. I had a character named X on server Y. Recently, i transferred X to server Z and named something else.

My problem is, in the new server when entering my bank, it remembers that X needs "2 Azure Pigments" in the reagent queue. How can i clear this data to not remember this? Theres no longer a character named X.

I tried to uninstall/delete addon and reinstall, but it still remembers.

Where does he get this data?

If not. go into the WTF folder, then delete everything that has anything to do with ATSW (Advanced Trade Skill Window).
Exit wow if you had it open, and then log back on. Now all the settings and stored information for ATSW should be resetted.

Great addon. Especially the queue function.

What would make this addon better, you ask? A column in front of the item name, giving the required level for the item, that is sortable, so that if you are looking to create updated gear for a low-level guildmate of sya 15th level, you don't have to click each item to see if he/she can use it.

First let me say your addon is amazing!! but I've got a problem when using it for inscription. It makes wow freeze for a few seconds every few second, wich is realy anoying. Any idea where that come from and how to fix it?

I am having the same issue, and have one by one turned off my profession addons and it seems the ATSW is the one that causes the issue. Is there any way to fix this? LOVE the addon, and it works with all of my other professions, the issue is only with Inscription.

First let me say wonderful addon been using it for a while thank you very much!!

Second one thing that i would like to see implemented would be the ability to actually search the different recipes with an item that you have already. Like the original blizz tradeskill's. Lets say you have in yout inventory a dark jade. In the search window you can type that in and it will come up with a list of all your recipes that actually use the dark jade. With the original tradeskill UI you can do that but with this one you cant and it honestly would add a lot of functionality to this addon. Please look into this if you can and thank you.

Im sorry just thought of another addition i would like to see. For alchemist and jc's in the search window with blizz TS UI you can search for lets say haste and it will show all of the haste pot's or gem's that you can make. That would be another nice ability.
