  • About Addon Control Panel
  •

ACP adds the "Addons" button to the game's main menu (The one you get when you hit ESC). It allows you to manage your addons in game, with an interface which looks similar to the blizzard addon manager. ACP will help you deal with the "Clutter" that multi-part addons and libraries introduce by displaying your addons in logical arrangements. ACP has many features to make your addon list easy to manage, help you with missing libraries, and provide you with detailed information about each addon.

ACP based now on rMCP, which is MCP modified by Rophy. MCP originally by Saien

Love the addon, absolutely can't play wow without it now... I have a feature request, if you're interested in hearing ideas. If not, no offence taken or intended. I would really like the ability to create "addon sets", not what others have referred to as "profiles". I don't expect/want "profiles" to control the settings of my addons. That's not what this addon is intended for. I only want the ability to create "sets" of addons that I wish to turn on and off. I use a lot of addons, and depending on what I'm spending time on, I would really like the ability to turn some of them off in batches... Like when I'm doing randoms I would like the ability to turn off all addons besides the ones that help me in dungeons. I don't need my auction and vendor addons in dungeons. Maybe another way to look at this is that many people limit the number of addons they could be using because they don't want to bloat their UI. "Addon sets" could resolve that issue, allowing people to download as many addons as they wish, and turn them on and off in sets whenever it suits them.

Again, this addon is great as is. No worries if you don't have the time (or don't want) to implement the ability to create "addon sets". If you do, however, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, and keep up the excellent work.

This already is an option, there's a button with "Sets" on it on the bottom left of the control panel.

As someone who's potentially interested in this addon, can anyone tell me if it has the functionality to save addon configurations for the various addons? Such that if I wanted to use...grid set up in x location in my tank spec, and in y location in my holy spec, I could save those settings to different profiles?

ACP is only for the loading and unloading of addons only. It does not save addon positions and what not, that is the job of the individual addon.

For anyone (like me) who wants to change addon profiles (and gear) when you switch talent specs I've made the following macro:

    "/equipset [spec:1] <Offspec Gearset>; <Mainspec Gearset>
    /run if GetActiveTalentGroup(nil, nil) == 1 then ACP:ClearSelectionAndLoadSet(2) else ACP:ClearSelectionAndLoadSet(1) end
    /usetalents [spec:1] 2; 1
    /console reloadui"

This assumes that you are using the blizzard equipment manager and that your mainspec/offspec addons are saved as set one and two, you will also need add the name of the gearset you want to equip

    hope it helps!

This addon seriously lacks crucial information in the description tab. Should the author care?

PROTECTED MODE: Why should an addon be disabled during loading? Can you give more information about this, can you describe and give examples in the description tab of the curse page of your own addon?

RECURSIVE: There is a lost explanation of this a *year ago*, in these rather poor curse comment system, that isn't searchable, and so, pretty useless in the long run. Can you please, on behalf of your own addon, add your own explanation on Recursive, and why isn't turned on by default, because as it seems, its really quite useful?

Sylvanaar answered a user on January 13 2009, 1 year ago,

"RECURSIVE will enable all the dependencies for the addon you are enabling. So if you load addon A which needs addons B, C, D, and addon D needs addon E and F, then ACP will enable addons A, B, C, D, E, F."

This info is really important, and its an option that one thinks it should be on by default. But hey, you can always ignore us people that use your addon.

You seriously have this much trouble with this mod? Ever heard of Google? How about wowace.com? Lots of info there.
These authors don't owe you jack squat, it's free software written for a hobby and you aren't a paying customer. Most authors don't spend a lot of time reading these comments because of asses like you who pollute them. If you seriously have suggestions or want to submit a bug report, then go to the dev site (wowace.com) and post a ticket, using less attitude and a little more gratitude that they care enough to LET you use their mod.

BlizzMove (on curse) isn't showing up in ACPs addon list. It shows up in the blizzard one at character selection and it does work. It is just invisible to ACP or something.

Is there a way to add/remove sets using /commands so that this addon can be used within macros?
    i.e.:
    /acp add raiding
    /acp remove raiding blacklist
    /reloadui

I would probably make macros and call them on outfit change in Outfitter.

What's a pity that you don't place any instruction about tuning that addon. How can I reach the settings?
