Titan Panel [Guild]: A simple guild list for the Titan Panel AddOn.
- Lists online guild members in a tooltip, green rank text indicating an officer
- Menu shows names of online members, with click to /whisper functionality. Green text = officer
- Menu has options to /guild chat and /officer chat

- Filtering on a single class in the player's faction
- Paging of simple and advanced right-click menu contents to deal with large-guild issues
Usage:
- In the right-click menu, click on a guild member name to send them a whisper
- Enable 'Show Advanced Menus' to create submenus for each online guild member based on rank
- Left-click on button to toggle the Friends Frame > Guild Tab

- Updated .toc to 20003
- Shaman class color changed to teal
Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Ekhurr saidWent into problems with the 2.4 with the ClassNames being gendered (Female & Male).
But it's easily fixed :)
Add these lines for the Female class names for the French client into the TITAN_GUILD_CLASSINDEX group, within the localization.lua file :

Chuxter saidThis is an excellent mod, but needs to be updated.
ALSO, Please please please add option to show 25, 30, 35, 40 or more members on the list. It is currently limited to showing 25 max for small resolution screens, and I had to go into the LUA to manually increase this number.

selvikin saidI just updated mine, to update, here's the process: 1. Go To Local Drive > Program Files > World of Warcraft > Interface > Addons > TitanGuild 2. Open up TitanGuild.toc in notepad/wordpad 3. Change the number on "## Interface:" from 20003 to 20100 4. Save the file
If it cannot Save, open the properties of the file and uncheck the ReadOnly box. Then resave. Should work then, to double check, close the wordpad/notepad program, then reopen TitanGuild.toc in wordpad/notepad. It should read 20100.
Start up WoW and enjoy. I haven't had any trouble yet. ;-) EDIT: I would put the updated version up, but dun know how. sorry guys and gals.

chicogrande saidI haven't updated this mod in awhile mainly due to the fact that I'm actually playing the game vs. tinkering with it these days :)
There have been some user-supplied updates on competing addon sites I may look at merging into this in the future.

chicogrande said@Orbit: There is no file by the name of TItanUtils.lua in the TitanGuild mod folder tree. I suggest making sure you have the latest version of Titan Panel. There were issues with some of the menuing in the mod that affected TitanGuild. An update to the latest version fixes these issues.

jasonkresge saidChicogrande - 3.52 has the wrong TOC. It should be 20003, not 20005. Also, shows up as 3.51 (version number not updated).
Also, is it supposed to be Beta? Seems like it was supposed to be under the Release section (Beta is the default selection).

Xatiran saidYou have make a little error in TitanGuild.lua at line 550.
You have write :
InviteByName(this.value);
And make error :
Error: attempt to call globel 'InviteByName' (a nil value) AddOn: TitanGuild File: TitanGuild.lua Line: 550 Count: 1
And the Api change : API Changes: Party Management
Remplace With this and will work perfectly :
InviteUnit(this.value);

chicogrande saidUpdated posted. The level 3 menu issue still exists in beta, but it's a problem for general Titan as well.

chicogrande saidThe WoW2.0 version may be delayed a day or two. There are issues with core Titan in its dealings with 3 level deep right-click menus, which is a core feature of this plugin. I'll keep you posted.
The addon "should" work with a TOC update if you want to take the plunge, but the 3 level deep menus, such as the advanced whisper/invite/etc. functions will produce an error.

Ravendk saidI got a small prob with the tooltip... when I login the guildmaster is at the top and then I use the menu to sort the rank so the guildmaster is at the bottom... but if I relog the guildmaster is at the top again... this started to happen a week ago or so... I haven't added any addons and I have tried to disable all my addons exept TitanPanel and this ofc and it's still the same... so I'm kinda confused... Anyone who knows how I can fix this?
