  • About TooManyAddons
  •

I have 224 mods, some of which aren't appropriate in all situations. Ever have your guild yell at you to turn RPhelper off? Ever switch mods mid dungeon and find you left the party and are now in Shattrath? Or get pwned in arena because you forgot to click your Arena Unit Frames? I got really sick of this so I hacked some code together.

This mod is like an 'outfitter' of mods. Type a title and click new profile, select what addons you want to load with this profile, and whenever you click load profile the checked profile will load those, and only those, addons.

It's plain looking, but should run fast and smooth.

                • features that aren't instantly obvious
  • There is a new 'addon' button in the game menu, that opens up the TooManyAddons interface.
  • '/TMA' will also open up the interface.
  • '/TMA aProfile' will instantly load that profile. Handy for you macrophiles. Spelling must be exact.
  • The interface can be moved by dragging the 'profile' frame. You have to click on the edge of the frame or a clear spot; The mouse cannot be over the name of an addon or checkbox, as this would merely click that checkbox.
  • A profile called 'Default' is created at the very first use of TooManyAddons, for your convenience. Feel free to delete it.
  • A profile called 'Always Load These Addons' will always exist. Anything checked in this profile will always load, no matter what. The checked items will appear grey or shiny in other profiles. By default, TooManyAddons will be checked in this profile.
  • Tooltips show you the description of the addon.
  • Clicking an addon will automatically click all of its dependencies (up to five).

I like the program, but, I am also getting a serious error every time I log in, as reported by bugsack.

    [2008/11/09 16:52:19-72-x1]: TooManyAddons\TooManyAddons.lua:348: GameMenuButtonLogout:SetPoint(): is dependent on this
    TooManyAddons\TooManyAddons.lua:348: in function `TMA_onload'
    :"*:OnLoad":1: in function <[string "*:OnLoad"]:1>

    ---

  • When MoveAnything or ScaleEverything is installed error ocurs. There is a conflict. See my comment wowinterface (Prototype from 10-28-2008 04:38 PM) http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info11208-MoveAnything.html#comments

Error during load. I'm using MoveAnything (which has its own problems, but not on load). The Blizzard menu does not get resized (looks like that's something you try to do), and both the MA and TMA buttons are displayed outside the frame border. My UI scale is set to the minimum using the standard Blizzard options (about .64 I think).

    Buggrabber:

    TooManyAddons\\TooManyAddons.lua:348: in function `TMA_onload'

    I've made several profiles.
Always Load, Tweaking, Leveling, Raiding, Paladin, Hunter, etc.

What I'd like to do is load several different sets depending on the Class I'm playing and what I am wanting to do.

For example, if I'm one my paladin and want to just level, I click on the Paladin Profile and then click on the Leveling Profile and it loads just those two profile (including the Always Load profile).

Then, after the Leveling, I decide to go to an Instance. So, I click on the Paladin and Raiding Profiles. I don't want the Leveling Profile to load this time.

I don't know how to make this happen with the current setup without making several more profiles. Currently, I think I have to create the following:

Pally Leveling, Pally Raiding, Pally BGing, etc

An idea may be to be able to check mark several boxes and then load those selected profiles, but then again, maybe I'm missing something.

Okay my fault. I didn't play with it long enough to figure out that load profile reloads the ui. When you load a set in ACP or a profile in Loadit it doesn't reload the ui. Thanks dax.

When you reload to enable addons? That doesn't sound like you clicked the button in the Mod. You have to click on "load Profil
