Cryolysis 2

Info

Cryolysis 2 is now the official release download.
Barring any unforeseen problems, Cryolysis 1 ("Revived", "Reborn", "New Beginning") will no longer be updated/supported. If there is a specific reason(s) you're using Version 1 and need a hot fix to keep it working, you can post here in comments (make sure you note that you are referring to Version 1) or send any member of the team a private message through Curse (list is in the top right corner), and we will try to implement fixes as time permits.

The releases available here are less frequently updated, but in return should prove more stable than WoWAce releases. That's the theory, anyway.

FAQ

Configuration Menu
To open the Configuration Menu, right-click the Main-Sphere. If you have hidden the main sphere, you can get a list of of commands by typing "/cryo".
Custom Buttons
Custom buttons can now use either spells, items, or macros. Make sure when setting up the custom buttons that you select the correct type (ie: spell, macro, item) and that you press Enter after typing in the name. If you don't press enter, your changes will not be saved.
Spell Timers
Timers have not been implemented yet. As such, the spell timers option should be turned off in the configuration menu for now. These will be implemented sometime after patch 2.4.
Messages/Speeches
Currently, Short Messages have not been implemented. There are a number of different options to display random messages:
- USER: Messages will display for you only. Mildly useless, but the functionality is there.
- WORLD: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that /say.
- GROUP: Messages will display for /raid, bar that /party, bar that it will remain silent. Old Cryo1 Behavior.
- RAID: Messages will display for /raid, bar that it will remain silent.
- PARTY: Messages will display for /party, bar that it will remain silent.
- SAY: Messages will display in /say.
Localizations
To help localise Cryo2 in your language, download Cryo2 from WoWAce, edit your locale file in the /locales/ and send it to us. Files should be encoded in utf-8.

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

i have a problem with the cooldown timer. it doesnt save its position. i got this problem many versions ago, where the timer was changed the first time (to the big one). i can drag&drop it to whereever i want, after a relog i have to do this again (the timer appears in the middle of the screen all the time).

and there is another problem... after a disconnect the mount button settings are changed. normally i have my 100% speed mount on left click and my 60% speed flight mount on right click but after a disconnect it changed random to other mounts...

local is german.

Just wondering if anyone knows if the additional pollys are able to be bound to a custom button...I've tried but to no avail...not sure if it's just me or if it's just not able to determine one polly from another.

I've lost my timer-bars. Maybe i dragged them unintentionally out of visible screen. How can i reset the position of the bars to a visible area or reset all settings of cryolis?

The one off of WoWAce works, but there's a few things that bother me. First, if you update with the WoWAceUpdater, it doesn't work anymore. Second, every time I start WoW, and I go to the Interface options, I get a Cryolysis error. Additionally, when I start up WoW, the first time I hover over a button on the Cryolysis sphere, I also get an addon error.

Hi there!

My problem WAS being unable to update. The portal to Theramore only was my reason for updating... But obviously my problem was with the ace updater, not with cryolysis itself. The version you linked works pefectly fine!

For both Theridan and Mikeia the portal to theramore HAS already been added. You need to dl the latest version from:

http://files.wowace.com/Cryolysis2/Cryolysis2.zip

Install and you will have Theramore tele and port.

great addon, but one constant issue bothering me

Version 70097 works perfectly fine, but whenever I update using wowace updater, I only get the sphere (somehow undead looking) and two separate buttons. I can't click anything, the first times I try, I get error messages.

Of course there is no real reason to update, but the portal to theramore would be nice... For about two months I tried updating whenever wowace updater told me there was a new version. I allready installed ACE 3 because this was mentioned in some post concerning the addon. I apologize if this issues has been adressed here before, but scanning through 40 pages is a bit too much for me right now.

Try downloading the latest Cryolysis 2 version directly from files.wowace.com. The version I downloaded last week is working fine for me.

i am also seeing that at least the bottom custom button isnt working right either. i can put manna biscuits in there and it works, but when i log out and get back on they are not in the button anymore but when i go into the settings the button is still set up for them and i have to put the cursor in the text window and hit return...and yes i do have them in my bags...hehe

Why do you have a custom button setup just for Mana biscuits? The Food/Water buttons automagically show and use the biscuits whenever they're in your bag. I would assume the fact that it's a summonable consumable which disappears after 15m logged-out is affecting the custom button's ability to associate the newly summoned biscuits with the ones that expired previously and which the button was set to.

I think i found a bug or whatever you wanna call it in the latest version. I cant seem to middle click the water and trade it. The food works fine. I did download again and reinstall and its still not working. Anyone else having this prob?

God the same problem, it's easy to fix:

- open buttons/water.lua
- change Cryo2FoodButton into Cryo2WaterButton (lines 38, 39, 40 and 42)
- save the file

Love the add-on, been using it for a long time but...one thing id like to see changed is the food and water buttons both having the manna biscuits in them. With bliz limiting you to 80 biscuits now, there are times that i want to either just drink or eat and not use a biscuit. And when trading, if a non mana user needs food i would just give them food not biscuits. I set up the bottom config button to have the biscuits and would like the food and water to have just that...food and water not biscuits. I have been able to fix this in older vers. but in this new rewrite i havnt yet (just a part time program fixer). I know it sounds trite but i bet there are others that would agree. Let me know what you think...
