Getting slow downs in combat? Instances causing you fps problems when they never used to?

Yes, it's badly written mods which are causing the problem, and here is one that will show you which are the offending articles:

(Those that haven't used a MinnaMod before, you may want to drag the cute doggy button to your minimap and then type "/minnabutton lock" to prevent it from moving)

WARNING! When profiling is Enabled (always requires a reloadui, don't panic you get a warning when it is about to do this) things ARE much slower than normal, this is because the scripting system profiler is turned on.

The best way to identify a problematic mod is to turn it on for a trash pull, and watch the percentages which are updated every 5 seconds. Then turn it off once you've found the culprit.

It depends what the mod has to do, and if you are having any FPS problems which you never used to have.

Testing this whilst in combat in a raid instance, the following mods where EATING large chunks of my CPU time:

    1) Cartogropher 2) EnchantList 3) KLHThreatMeters

Now neither of these should be doing *anything* and both are Ace2 mods, which everything believes automatically means they have low cpu usage.

Disabling them both increased my FPS significantly, and in fact the last one was consistantly the largest cpu usage of any addon I ran when I wasn't even in a party.

So when a mod is giving high readings, that doesn't necesarrily mean they're "badly written". Like in your screenshot it shows pitbull up near the top, but for me it makes barely noticeable impact on FPS. I guess what I'm trying to say is, what does a badly written addon profile look like on this :o
