Addon in development, you're advised :P
EQL3 - WHDB is a mod of EQL3 (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=4386) that implements WoWHead comments, npc/coordinates and item databases to the quest details.
It can plot quest objectives and comments (if the comment has coordiantes) to Metamap or Cartographer if available.
The comments database is from qComment, the NPC and the item databases were created by me.
Currently Issues:
- Comments plots are drow in quest's map, if the quest involves something that is in another map, plots are wrong.
- Comments plots from quests that are in zones that aren't a map (ex: Sunstrider Isle) don't work.
Updates:
You can update qComment database from:
http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/7691/
The NPC and item databases will be updated with this addon. But constant updates aren't really needed because quests don't change over time.

- Fixed all image paths to match the new directory name.
- Fixed an issue with cartographer not showing the Map buttons sometimes.
- Added the new item database, now it find a lot more drops than ever.
- Changed how map notes work, now they're plotted only when pressing Show Map and not every time you select a quest.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Directory name changed, remove the old one (EQL3) if you have it to avoid conflicts.
Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

kizmar saidI'm trying to get or turn in quests with J.D. Collie (Un'Goro Crater - gem cave at Marchal's Refuge). They are really funky when I have this addon enabled. I've been turning the addon off in order to do anything quest wise with this NPC.
No error, it just looks wacked out.

UniRing saidThis is a bug from EQL3, don't use it or tell the author to update it. This addon now works alone, with the default blizzard questlog, also can run with EQL3 and QuestGuru. If you want something like EQL3 and don't want to wait until the author update it, try QuestGuru, and go to the new addon page linked on the bottom post.

UniRing saidAddon canceled. If you liked it use the new version from here:
http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/10121/
It's a rewrite of this addon for the default quest log, also supports EQL3 but it isn't needed and also it isn't included in the package.

UniRing saidOk, i have rewrited this addon to make it independant from EQL3, now it works with the default quest log and also with any actual version of EQL3. Instead of changing the quest log itself, all the info is embedded into the quest text.
Smishleniy: Yes it's a great feature i will implement now before uploading the new version.

Smishleniy saidhi to all =)
sorry about my English first :)
it's a great addon, but yeah, there is some bugs with this 2.3.0 patch, like multiple quests at some NPCs problem, but I writing not in this occasion, and I want to offer an new option for your addon
UniRing, can you, when you will be working an update, add some sweet into this?
There is a example of the situation:
When i am helping somebody with some quest, and he experiencesdifficulties with this quest, it would be great if i can write somewhere the name of the quest, and see the quest text? Lika add it to some section, which will contain those "by-name-added" quests, and simply remove it from there when i don't need it anymore.
I think it will be very useful, or there is some complexities to do this? And, there is no addons for wow with such option

Clammylammy saidSame thing's happening here - for example turning in Sunfury Signets in Shattrath I only get 1 option "More Sunfry Signets". Disable EQL and I get "More Sunfry Signets" and "Single Sunfry Signets" offered. Also I have to hand in my daily Skyguard quests one at a time as the NPC doesn't offer the second hand in until after I've handed in the first.
Seems it's got a problem with NPCs who offer you multiple quest options?
Otherwise working great :)

ankido saidIm having the same problem with my quests. If I try to turn in a quest, nothing happens. If you try talking to another quest giver and go back to that NPC your having problems with; he'll have the same quest as the other. EQL3 is all screwed up, there needs to be an update.

I tried it today and worked, then i will post updates for my addons, today i'm goint to SSC, tomorrow to TK and later to Hyjal buy i think i will have some time between TK and Hyjal to make fixes and updates.
Thanks for all who found a fix for the item tooltips bug, i was thinking it was a problem of EngBags not this ^^ Less work for me :)
I will make a new wowhead database download if i have time but this will be later, first i need to upload a fixed and full working version.

Koroshiya saidIf you are having problems with tooltips try this trick from the ArkInventory author....
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\EQL3_WHDB\EQL3_Tooltip.lua
Change line 27 from this: function EQL3_New_ContainerFrameItemButton_OnEnter() to this: function
EQL3_New_ContainerFrameItemButton_OnEnter(this)
Change lin 29 from this: EQL3_ContainerFrameItemButton_OnEnter(); to this:
EQL3_ContainerFrameItemButton_OnEnter(this);

melipla saidAnother tooltip workaround for 2.2:
Open this file:
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\EQL3_WHDB\EQL3_Tooltip.lua
Change line 27 from this: function EQL3_New_ContainerFrameItemButton_OnEnter() to this: function EQL3_New_ContainerFrameItemButton_OnEnter(this)
Change lin 29 from this: EQL3_ContainerFrameItemButton_OnEnter(); to this: EQL3_ContainerFrameItemButton_OnEnter(this);

Cronje saidI love this addon. However, two issues:
The old Extended Questlog addon showed the recommended number of people for the quest in the left pane. (Group:3) for example. I would love to see that feature added to this.
The addon Lightheaded also used the WoWhead comments, but the links worked. They would show up in blue and you could click on them to go to the quest, mob, item, etc. that they linked to.
