  • About rpgo-GuildProfiler
  •

GuildProfiler is a World of Warcraft addon that grabs guild info shown on the Guild Roster. This is saved in your SavedVariables\CharacterProfiler.lua in the myProfile block. This information can then be uploaded to your website to display your Guild Roster.

  • Well it's not working... since the last WoW Patch. Got Loading error right off the bat when i log in Wow, any /cp or /gp command give another error, /cp on or /gp on give another error. Then when i try to Exit the Game get another Error then i can't Exit, have to Kill the wow.exe process in the Window Process list : (

Now since the big patch is coming pretty soon. i wish the Dev could start Testing & Fix it in the PTR section so that when the patch do come out, we have a fresh copy of CharacterProfiler & GuildProfiler working.

This is a great mod for keeping guild website info sync'd with the game. But since Patch 2.0 I haven't been able to use it. After installing this mod then logging into the game, I get:

Interface\Addons\GuildProfiler.lua:537 attempt to call field 'PrefTidyOO' (a nil value)

I'm playing on a Mac but normally addons don't care what client platform is used.

    Any others see this problem?

  • This is a must have for a guild. Get this mod and the CharacterProfiler mod and get every guild member to install it. It's wonderful. Can't say enough about it.

I also strongly suggest you download the UniUploader Addon to upload your data files automatically along with this one.

Note: Only Guildmasters need to GuildProfiler. CharacterProfiler should be for all guild members though.

Deleted. sorry for post under wrong place. Please see my comment of CharacterProfiler. :<

  • i think theres a few php projects that use this data, the biggest that i know of is wow roster, what Tewesq is using.

some people have XML/XLT systems that use it as well

    hello

i have a question i want to start using rpgo-CharacterProfiler and rpgo-GuildProfiler. these are the local version, but what i would like to know is what backend (website part) should i use?? i want to host it on my own website and not on the mod creators site.

    tnxs

  • duplicates a lot information and lags out the game needlessly doesnt work most of the time, click save and it errors on itself

This is not meant to plug my guild... just to show you how it can work... I have a dead-unused guild (so I feel it's safe to use as an example) because the members left for high-lvl guilds.

Anyhow... here is a sample of using the GuildProfiler at http://lightbringers.zapto.org and click on the 'Roster' link. I use a PhP Roster that uploads the data from GuildProfiler and generates that page automatically. (It may be the one Calvin wrote... note sure tho)

If you want more details you can reach me at foxpur@gmail.com and I will give you the link and help you set it up. It is a freeware.

  • i believe there are lua->xml converters. we havnt seen any do what we needed, and had to make our own.

as for text exports, i dont know of a way. could shove it to the chatlog, but i dont see any point in that

    Hi guys

Is there an other way to extract my guilddata from wow. I would love to see a guildlist.txt generated by clicking a ingame button.

Do u guys know if this is possible? I'm not talented with php, planning to learn, got no time... I'm using a ftp server provided by my provider. Is there a easy way to get my guild information on my harddrive?

Is it possible to get some kind of .lua reader, just to view the info?

    thx guys

  • This is saved in your savedvariables.lua in the myProfile block.

? you load it to a website for guild rosters. there are several projects that do this, wowprofiler, wowcompanion. if you dont wanna deal with doing it on your own, or you want more features, my wow-gm system is for anyone to use.

  • thx Anthony, apparently, something added a feature to the 'save' button, causing it to wipe the members =P (leaving it scan automatic still workd fine)
