GuildProfiler is a World of Warcraft addon that grabs guild info shown on the Guild Roster.
This is saved in your SavedVariables\CharacterProfiler.lua in the myProfile block.
This information can then be uploaded to your website to display your Guild Roster.

Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

ccggraphix saidWell it's not working... since the last WoW Patch. Got Loading error right off the bat when i log in Wow, any /cp or /gp command give another error, /cp on or /gp on give another error. Then when i try to Exit the Game get another Error then i can't Exit, have to Kill the wow.exe process in the Window Process list : (
Now since the big patch is coming pretty soon. i wish the Dev could start Testing & Fix it in the PTR section so that when the patch do come out, we have a fresh copy of CharacterProfiler & GuildProfiler working.

Nyctris saidThis is a great mod for keeping guild website info sync'd with the game. But since Patch 2.0 I haven't been able to use it. After installing this mod then logging into the game, I get:
Interface\Addons\GuildProfiler.lua:537 attempt to call field 'PrefTidyOO' (a nil value)
I'm playing on a Mac but normally addons don't care what client platform is used.
Any others see this problem?

vabeachdave saidThis is a must have for a guild. Get this mod and the CharacterProfiler mod and get every guild member to install it. It's wonderful. Can't say enough about it.
I also strongly suggest you download the UniUploader Addon to upload your data files automatically along with this one.
Note: Only Guildmasters need to GuildProfiler. CharacterProfiler should be for all guild members though.

Tewesq saidThis is not meant to plug my guild... just to show you how it can work... I have a dead-unused guild (so I feel it's safe to use as an example) because the members left for high-lvl guilds.
Anyhow... here is a sample of using the GuildProfiler at http://lightbringers.zapto.org and click on the 'Roster' link. I use a PhP Roster that uploads the data from GuildProfiler and generates that page automatically. (It may be the one Calvin wrote... note sure tho)
If you want more details you can reach me at foxpur@gmail.com and I will give you the link and help you set it up. It is a freeware.

Sender saidHi guys
Is there an other way to extract my guilddata from wow. I would love to see a guildlist.txt generated by clicking a ingame button.
Do u guys know if this is possible? I'm not talented with php, planning to learn, got no time... I'm using a ftp server provided by my provider. Is there a easy way to get my guild information on my harddrive?
Is it possible to get some kind of .lua reader, just to view the info?
thx guys

? you load it to a website for guild rosters. there are several projects that do this, wowprofiler, wowcompanion. if you dont wanna deal with doing it on your own, or you want more features, my wow-gm system is for anyone to use.

AnthonyB saidCalvin, please double-check this v1.11 release as it removed all the guild members from my database. I retrograded to v1.1 and my database repopulated. Upgraded again to v1.11 and it removed the guild members again. Retrograded to v1.1 again and it re-populated the database.
My guess is that the guild name processing is bugged. At least, it's bugged using the Mordon roster package and UniUploader combo.

calvin-rpgo saidi'm not really sure what GuildInfo Applet is doing, and cant support them. GuildProfiler exports the guild info in the same structure that guildextract, with additional information.
a side-note: i'm working on a site that does guild rosters for people who dont want to deal with it. check out the above post.

Udderjuice saidI am a guild officer desparetly trying to get a wy to easily update my guild roster on my webiste. I do not know java nor XML nor php nor am I coder. This is very frustrating for me. Anyway, I used GuildProfiler to extract my guild data and then tried to use the utility found here http://rezzed.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=3 to generate the HTML page but all I get is a blank form. He spcifically says that if you have used either the Guild Extract or GuildInfo WoW addons to do a guild roster extract, you should see a "Guild Roster" selection in the available exports dropdown. I used GuildProfiler but still was able to select "GuildRoster" in his java application. Do I need to use the older UI for it to work? Someone please help me.

calvin-rpgo said'save' button should be doing the same thing guildextract did... and, i dont know any reason it wouldnt work.
i have noticed this... make changes in the guild (promote/demote), triggers run, GP extracts, reloadui at this point, you get old data (pre-premote). it appears that the WoW functions are pulling cached info some how...
