About the User Interface
At some point, you may have realized that within the myriad of mod, bag, button and raid windows... your viewing space is a little hole somewhere in the middle. And while there are other interface mods out there that will reduce your interface to nothing but a pinhole, you can’t help but wish there was an interface that just fit WoW in the first place. Built from scratch, SpartanUI was designed to “free your screen,” and unlike other mods, it looks like it actually belongs to the World of Warcraft.
Version 2.0 Public Beta is finally released! Be aware that as a public beta, this release is not gauranteed to be perfect, however, pending any issues, this will be the official 2.0 copy. Check SpartanUI.com for up-to-date release notes and info!

Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Ghosthavoc saidThis addon is very good, but we can't choose for health bar & mana bar (color fade terxt etc). If you create a option menu for health & mana bar, that's perfect (i don't speak english very well)

Garth4WoW saidtry this:
type /sui party off or /sui party on , to hide or show your party and use grid to show your party frame as a raidframe.

BlasterShot saidAnsu doesnt make it to these forums often so I will answer some of the questions I see here.
Unit frames(Self, party, target, focus, and pet) are not moveable.
The Bartender bars not staying when moved is a known bug. (being worked on)
The buffs/debuffs on the target not showing is a know bug. (being worked on)
SUI V2 will ONLY work with Bartender. If you are using other bar mods you will have errors and issues.
Pet health bar dissapearing when pet is re summoned is a known bug. (being worked on)
There is no built in Raid frames.

Garth4WoW saidThe Bartender bars not staying when moved is NOT a bug, everytime u login or reloadui
the bartender profile set to spartanui-standard-blabla. Working as programmed!
So you can only change the profile by using a macro on every login "/bar Profile other YourBartenderProfile" or changing the spartanui.lua entries like this (http://s1.directupload.net/file/d/1430/6paben8q_jpg.htm)
SUI V2 will actual only work with bartender, but to change this you although have to change the spartanui.lua entries (not as easy as it sounds)
The rest of BlasterShots comment is correct^^
My wishlist:
- free movement of the party frames
- no bartender profile fix settings
- better buff & debuff refreshes
- castbarflow custom changeable (from right to left or left to right)

Vorttex saidOk i have officially got it to a god point last night until i restarted my computer. I setup everything to my liking not doing any major stuff just moving bars around etc. I did not experience any lockup problems, which is good BUT
1. I cannot move my Unitframes at all, the way the Party Unitframes are setup near my char Unitframe and Pet is just uncomfortable and i wanted to add them on top of my screen, well i tried to move em and i just cannot, HELP ON THIS ONE
2. I had to setup another bar on the right side of my screen, well every time i login the bar disappears and only way i can see them again is to go to bartender and click "Enabled" twice, even though its already enabled...this happens every time i zonein and out..HELP
3. Camera: omg this thing is annoying, i got use to keeping my camera at a medium location and i dont want it to go to the point where my char is like a peanut, well after installing the SPartanUI it ALWAYS does this, i had to install CameraPlus to make it stop, even after i uninstalled SpartanUI it was still doing it, i went into ESC menu under interface and Camera to mess with it, nothing, the camera still went far away as hell...HELP
As much as i love this UI, it still needs work...i know there was nothing conflicting because i only used 4 addons with the UI and i disabled/enabled them to see if thats the problem, Nope. So im gonna stick with my old Ctmod UI till this one has a solid release.

wolfshader saidHey!
First I wanna say I really love the style of spartan UI :) its just that I can't figure out how to see HOT remaining durations (I am playing priest) on me or friendly players and the debuffs I cast on mobs (like shadow word: pain) aren't even visible in PvE solo. Am I doing something wrong or is it simply not implemented in the UI? I really really would like to use the UI so plz tell me whether it can be configurated or not.
Thanks, Iason :)

matt220mfg saidYeah, I have the exact same problem and can't figure out whats wrong, ive tried to install several other addons to replace the DoT and HoT problem but with no luck. If anyone knows what the problem could be it would be a great help as most of my characters have been rendered useless by this and would cool to use this UI.

DudleyVonDoomjuice saidok, so i'm actually getting 2 sets of the party members. that's just consuming space on my screen. secondly, the area where the action bars are located; the graphics for the back piece is all misplaced and looks really messed up. i use 1440x900 wide, so if that's the issue then i may need to revert back to an older version. since this one is not working for me. plus, it's messing up a few of my actions bars. it sends me into game with them disabled, then when i try to enable em an error message comes up, or it comes up all screwy. i like the change to the party member frames location and the player from looks. but i still have the second set of the party members on the side of the screen. just things maybe you could help me out with or fix in a future update.
OH! something i've noticed with EVERY version of spartanui. The default bartender set up. it uses bar 10 for the right 3x3 box. which is actually used for shape shifted forms or alternative stances for warriors. i think the same thing on my rogue too for stealth. should make it bar 2 instead of bar 10. imo.THANKS

Magarita saidSorry for not trying to help latley, but I will see what problems I can attempt to solve here.
Vorttex: Bartender DOES let you move the frames, but the pet bar window pop up function only works there. On your FuBar, click on Bar Lock till the bar's turn green (should only have to click once) and drag the pet bar wherever you want it at. Also CleanChat is nice, but I prefer to use Chatmod, it works great with SUI, it does have the Mousewheel stuff and all that. I do not know about the game freezing as I do not have the issue with Spartan UI
Erenti: The green bar comes up right when you log in and you have not gained any rep from any faction yet. Bring up your faction window and select one to track, the green bar will dissappear.
INSTALLIATION INSTRUCTIONS: Download, Un Zip, and all that jazz as you would with every other add on and put it into the add ons folder just as you would with any other add on. If the UI does not seem right as it is too small or to big, go to your menu using the Escape button. Click on your video options and adjust the UI size via the UI scale slider.
I do hope this helps everyone, all my knowlege has come from simply playing around with the UI, so I apologise if these do not fix but they did for me.

Vorttex saidyehh i finally figured it out last night, got it to work but if i change the ratio to like 0.64 its to small even on my widescreen so i run it at like halfway. Looks good but i noticed that my game froze when i Alt_Tabbed. Also how do you move around the Unitframes? like pet bar is on top of my Char bar and i want it on the left side of my char bar. Bartender does support frame moving correct?
Also the only thing i see wrong so far is that i got frozen up and could not even ctrl_alt_delete out of it. Any ideeas on the freezing problem?
Also ChatFrame: i use cleanchat addon because its so much easier to use a mouse to scroll funny thing is, every time i use SpartanUI it puts the writing box on top of the chatframe opposed to the bottom of it, this happens even if i disable cleanchat so it had to be because of the SUI, any ideas on this?
