  • About Baud Error Frame
  •

When an LUA, taint, or XML error occurs, the mod makes a sound, and info on the error can be gotten by clicking the button that will appear near the minimap. If you want the button to appear in a different place, drag it while holding the shift key.

For some reason I can not download the archive. Clicking on the mirror page leads to a dead end, trying with the Curse installer gives you a 1kb empty file.

EDIT: working as intended now, thanks to whoever fixed it.

This addon does not seem to be working for me. It is activated and in the proper folder but when I log on I still get errors and I see no button

Is it possible to optional disable taints and/or xml errors?
Cause i get around 200!!! taints from different (well known and updated) addons getting blocked from using some frames/buttons/ui/etc.
The error sound is nice, but in this occasion it can get really annoying. So i suggest to have an option to be able to show only lua errors in such occasions.

Thanks for this useful little addon. :)

Thanks for the quick reply. I can't think of any mod I'm using that should preclude WoW from saving the location of the button. I played with it this morning, and after changing it several times, it finally seems to have decided to remember where I put it. :P I think possibly I was putting it in a 'bad' position, so WoW was resetting it or something.

Anyway - it's all working great now - again, thanks for the mod!

Warcraft automatically saves the position of the button, and it is working for me. If it isn't saving, it could possibly be interference from another addon you're using.

Any chance to make it remember where I move the button to? It seems to reset every time I log back in.

    Awesome Mod.

Improved Error Frame didn't pick up taint errors because it wasn't designed to. Taint errors, like script errors, can cause your UI to malfunction until it's reloaded. Make sure you don't clear the error list if you don't wanna be alerted the next time the same error comes up. Also, not all taint errors are random, and a poorly designed addon may constantly cause them.

I love this mod but imo its a tad TOO sensitive, as in i received errors with this one that my mod "improved error frame" didnt intercept, probably because they werent that erroneous anyway. Is this fixed in 1.2 ? Such as that taint error ?

The new version 1.2 has that feature.

please make it so i can disable the chat window notification!!!

    its driving me nuts

That's a taint error. I design all my mods to have the least possible chance to cause taint errors, but it does still happen randomly. Just reload the UI if it causes any problems.

Love the new changes, cant think of anything else that it could need. this is the best error reporter i have tried. thanks a lot for the mod and the changes you put in.

The new version 1.1 has a button to change the sound effect, and the minimap button can be moved by dragging it while holding shift.

wondered if there was some way to detatch the icon from the minimap? i use a minimap mod and fubar with many others. i would like to be able to set a spot on the corner where the icon could show up not attatched to the map if there is some way. i can post a screenshot with a dot showing where i wanted to put it to give you a better idea what i was wondering about. and about the gnome sound, could you maybe send me a msg about how to change the soud? i was thinking about the sucubus sound file "oh no, your in trouble now" figured out how to pull the sound file out and i have a copy of it but not sure how to reference it instead of the gnome sound. thanks for any help you can give me.

reale: I really like the sound of gnomes dieing too much. But I bet a lot of the people that would need a mod like this would know how to add their own sounds anyways =p

Works great thank you. Would like the "Fatality" sound from BugSack instead though :)
