  • About Ogri'Lazy
  •

Apexis Relics (as well as Apexis Monuments) around Ogri'la plateaus have you replay a sequence of up to 10 notes - but the sequence is easily forgotten, and writing it down is cumbersome (besides, that takes effort!).

Ogri'Lazy is aimed to simplify the process. When you interact with an Apexis Relic/Monument, the Ogri'Lazy window appears automatically. The window shows four buttons, each representing a color; add the sequence the Relic is playing by pressing the buttons (or the hotkeys), and Ogri'Lazy will automatically keep track of the sequence for you. Once you start replaying the sequence, Ogri'Lazy will also keep track of your progress, saving you from forgetting which note you were up to.

The question remains: are you lazy enough to get Ogri'Lazy? ... Of course you are. Once you've downloaded the addon, you can type /ogri config to configure it to your liking, and /ogri to test the interface without interacting with an Apexis relic.

i'm having the same problem everyone else is mentioning, when the apexis crystal shows the sequence, it counts some as me pressing buttons and removes them from the list.

Is this something your planning on fixing? I noticed last few threads were 4 months old with no reply. Just curious if I should keep checking for an update.

Been getting this error for a while no idea how to fix it.

I am getting the same error on load for all of my characters. Please correct or post a workaround.

Venatio, Mogorash & Thorndike: I can't seem to replicate that behavior: even on 10-step patterns, it seems to delete one thing at at time at the appropriate times for me. There has been a similar issue in the past, related to the latency with which the debuff fades from you, but that should not really be the issue in 1.0.10.

When exactly does it remove the first step in the pattern? While you have the debuff? About the same time it should've faded? Way after? Does it remove the first step multiple times per pattern entry? Does it ever remove multiple steps while you're interacting with the Relic?

oXid_FoX: Thank you; that is going into the next release when the multiple removal issue in 1.0.10 is fixed.

When exactly does it remove the first step in the pattern?
Only if it matches the one currently being played by the shard.

While you have the debuff? About the same time it should've faded? Way after?
At this point I'm not playing back the sequence I'm building up the sequence to play back. I can't say I have noticed a debuff at this point so I'll check.

Does it remove the first step multiple times per pattern entry?
It tends to be hit and miss at least one sequence will experience the problem.

Does it ever remove multiple steps while you're interacting with the Relic?
After realising the problem I tried to make a note of the missing colours however when I interact it removes the first in the now too short sequence so got into a whole mess, but it looked like at this point interaction was working fine.

Do you want me to try and make a video of it happening, I can appreciate this is hard to explain with any great detail.

    Cheers, Ven.

Like Venatio described it is deleting the first item of the sequence while adding a new one

I have already in the sequence:

    RRGBYRB

the shard then plays the next which is R but this removes the first in the playback sequence so it now looks like:

    RGBYRBR

The debuff is up while doing this. I usually stop trying when I discover that one item is missing so I never encountered multiple deletions in a row.

Thank you for this great time saver ;)

I would like to post about a problem I'm having, Since updating to the latest 1.0.10 I'm finding that whilst the longer sequences are being played by the shard it is often removing the first in the chain when the one played matches. For example...

I have already in the sequence:

    RRGBYRB

the shard then plays the next which is R but this removes the first in the playback sequence so it now looks like:

    RGBYRBR

I only experience this when it gets to the longer chains but I suspect that's simply because it has a greater chance.

Please let me know if you require any information from me to help investigate. I'm completely defaults and use my mouse to enter the sequence.

    Thanks again, Ven.

    Edit: Noticed a typo.

I just had the same problem with 1.0.10. Back to the chat I guess until this is fixed. let me know if you need more information.

  • April 25, 2008, 02:15PM (2 months, 1 week ago)

I got the same problem with 1.0.10. Now back to 1.0.7 which is still working fine for me.

  • April 13, 2008, 10:43PM (2 months, 3 weeks ago)

There's an error in 1.0.9 that causes Ogri'Lazy to sometimes rebind its hotkeys after it has been hidden. If this happens to you, you can type /ogri to show the Ogri'Lazy frame temporarily, and close it immediately, which would release the associated hotkeys when you're out of combat.

1.0.10 resolves this issue, and can now be downloaded here. Update.

When Ogri'Lazy is active i have problems to control my character.

So for example the Button "e" often has no function , so i cannot walk right.

    When i deactivate Ogri'Lazy i dont have a problem...

Quite likely to be the german keybinding for yellow relics (bound only when interacting with an Apexis Relic on a german client); you can change the key this is bound to (or disable bindings altogether) using the configuration dialog.

The keybinding should be released automatically when you close the Ogri'Lazy frame. If for some reason it gets stuck, you can fix it by typing /relic and then closing the Ogri'Lazy frame again.

1.0.9 removes an unintentional dependancy introduced in 1.0.8. Additionally, an option to disable Ogri'Lazy's key bindings has been introduced, and issues regarding handling of Ctrl/Alt/Shift hotkeys have been resolved.

If you've managed to download 1.0.8 in the brief period it was up, you should update before reporting any issues.

  • April 13, 2008, 10:53AM (2 months, 3 weeks ago)

Curse seems to be failing (edit: no longer) at handling the 1.0.8 upload; you can get the latest version from its WoWInterface download page (hah, that scared it into behaving; you can use either site now).

Features include a proper configuration interface, fully customizable hotkeys (which can be unbound if you enter combat while Ogri'Lazy is active), a relocated close button, and a slightly more compact layout. [2.4 compatible toc tag is a bonus, too :)]

Move the "CLOSE" button away from the color buttons, I can't tell you how many time's I've closed ogri'lazy in the middle of the quest and screwed myself!

    Please and thank you.

You can see if the add on is running by typing /relic the ogri'lazy window should pop up. other than that it just comes up when you right click the crystal thing and start the quest
