This isn't a mod, but I thought this would be a great place to host this file.
This is a PDF version of my Professions powerlevelling post on the WoW EU forums(http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=13121383&sid=1&pageNo=1).
I wanted to create an easy to read and print version of that thread and this is the result. Enjoy :o)
Yay...Curse now accepts PDF's :o)
Added bookmarks and links to make navigation a lot easier.
Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Kraygien saidI'm not sure if you're still coming around these parts, but I noticed a typo (or Bliz has made a change) in the v1.06 version, levelling alchemy. Pg 5 of 56, 330-350 indicates the usage of the Super Healing Potion. The mats listed are actually for the Super Mana Potion, and the Super Mana Potion seems to be the proper item to use to level 330-350.
Thanks so much for sharing your guide.

Tsurani saidYou open PDF with Adobe Reader which can be obtained for free here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Now to open a Zip you can get the Free utility called XAce Plus. it supports the extraction of the formats ACE, ARJ, LZH, MS-Cab, RAR and ZIP. In addition, it handles multivolume archives as well as password encrypted files. and to obtain that program you go here:

Zidomo saidA thousand and one different programs can open ZIP files...heh. Many free ones can also create them, unlike what you mentioned.
Windows XP (and Vista...ick) can open and create ZIP files natively.
If you want a totally free, open source, visual program that can both _create_ (unlike the one you suggested) and open ZIPs, BZIP2, GZIP & TAR, create & open its own high compression format 7z, and open other formats like RAR, Ms-CAB, ISO, ARJ and so on, get 7-Zip: http://www.7-zip.org . You can see what the program looks like as well as see all its features before you install it, unlike the one you mentioned.
Other totally free openers & creators of ZIPs (and other compression formats) with no spyware or adware include jZip (uses 7-zip technology, but in a more nicely designed interface), Info-ZIP (Windows graphic version here, Mac graphic version here, all are much more bare-bones than anything else here, but Info-ZIP is open-source like 7-Zip and provides ports to virtually every OS under the sun), PeaZip (also open source), ZipGenius (another nice interface one), FreeZip, TUGZip, Quick Zip, Filzip and on and on. No need to limit yourself to just opening ZIPs with a limited program.

Adit saidExcellent guide - it's been extremely useful for me!
I just noticed that under Cooking recipes 300-375 the guide states that for Alliance the Ravager Dog recipe can be purchased from Father Malgor Devidicus in Honor Hold. Actually the recipe is purchased from the Innkeeper stood in front of him - Sid Lambardi.
Keep up the good work!

Rakzog saidThere is a "bug" at jewelcrafting guide. Original in the text is:
180-200 Engraved Truesilver Ring (1 x Truesilver, 2 x Gold Bar) x 20
Correct is:
180-200 Engraved Truesilver Ring (1 x Truesilver, 2 x Mithril Filigree) x 20
In the posting it is corrected: http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=13121383&pageNo=1&sid=1#15

myrdaal saidEngineering guide: The guide lists Rough blasting powder as 1-40 , but it goes green at lv30. Better to use the blasting powder you have just made to make rough Dynamite( Linen Clothis needed, but should have that already from low level humanoids). However you can learn Handul of copper bolts by lv30, so if you have the copper it is more cost effective to make those (can use them in other items). So, I'm saying better use wld be:
1-30 - Rough Blasting powder 30-40 Rough Dynamite (2xRough Blasting Powder, 1x Linen cloth) OR just go
