  • About MailTo Next
  •

My wife loved MailTo's ability to right click on items... Now that is more-or-less gone, she whined me into coming up with alternatives.

This version adds a new window when you open mailbox, trade, auction house, that function as a condensed version of your inventory.

  • IMPORTANT

Mailto has no way of determining the recipient of a mail is your alt or not, unless you have checked mail with that character (thus Mailto has their inbox record) at the time of sending mail.

---

MailTo Next can filter items in inventory to display. for filter types, refer to item types (NOT sub-types) here

http://www.wowwiki.com/ItemType

---

   	when mailbox is open,
left click in the mailable item to attach it to mail.
right click in the mailable item to mail it to current recipient
   	when trade is open,
left click in the tradable item to add it to trade.
right click in the tradable item to accept trade.
   	when auction house is open,
left click in the auctionable item to enter the name into auction search
right click in the auctionable item to create auction.

shift-left-click on item while chat is open will link the item
shift-left-click on the item when chat is not open will split stack
shift-right-click on the item will pick up the item.
You can drop picked up item in the empty slot.

That might take some doing... I will have to look deeper into finding out which item in inventory is linked to which item in the outbox.

  • You welcome devilcat ;) I've come across a idea and wonder if its possible. I would left click a item to attach various items into the mail but many a time I would accidently click the wrong item or change my mind and like to remove the attached item but I would have to go to the mail window and manually remove that item. Is it possible that I can left click again the item I accidently clicked to remove it from mail window?

Anyone that suggests an improvement to something is a "whinner" (sic)? Heh. So...what does that make those who go along with everything and are non-critical of anything? ;)

Anyway, yes, thanks a bunch Devilcat for continuing the mod. My emphasis on asking to improve how MailTo handles upgrades is primarily a result of this being one of the only-3.0 working mods that currently provides such a feature. MailExpiry is dead, MailInfo is dead & my all time favorite--the ancient OfflineMail (it used to be on Curse)--is dead in WoW 3.0. As well, having database mods/software such as this be able to use old data without having to nuke it after an upgrade is good mod/software design :).

Thanks again for continuing the mod Devilcat. Look forward to future improvements.

Thank you for all your support. It is my intention to keep this running till the day I leave Azroth for good.
And hopefully, I would be actually done cleaning up all the little quirks original MailTo had. :)

No, not hard. I just don't like doing it.
