Quick DKP V2.5.8 User Manual Here

Quick DKP V2 is, in my opinion, the most complete and easy DKP add-on around. It handles almost every aspect of the DKP management of a guild. Its goal is to stay completely in-game, storing the DKP and Time amounts in the officer or public notes fields of the guild's chart, in a clear format readable by everyone without using the mod.

Features List:

  • Completely Ingame: You won't need an external PHP server to store DKP or stuff like that.
  • Very easy to use and maintain: You can learn to use it in few minutes.
  • Efficient GUI Layout: Each window has his purpose, each purpose has his window. The addon has a Minimap Icon that can be detached and dragged everywhere.
  • Independent: No dependences are required, and no more mods are needed for the DKP management.
  • Flexible: you can adjust many parameters of the mod to best suit your guild's needs.
  • Easy to Set Up: ALL options are kept in a single file (Options.ini). Once configured, you can easily share this file with other officers to work with the same settings.
  • Check Function: Once updated, the officer (or public) notes are checked to make sure that they're in sync with local data.
  • Raid Monitoring and Management: QDKP V2 will constantly monitor the raid, logging killing of bosses, bids, loots, raid members who joins, leaves and goes on or offline. Will also monitor the Raid Chat to detect winners of items, to charge them. And will log everything!
  • Dynamic and Interactive Log System: Keep a unique and complete history of your raids! The log will store every modification, and you'll be able to view and edit those modifications at any time. QDKP will update the data as requested, in real time.
  • Reports: You can output detailed reports of any log to any known channel.
  • Synchronous Editing: More than one DKP officer can edit one player's DKP at the same time. The mod of the first player will detect and import the changes made by the second, and vice versa. This allows to have more than one raid at the same time, or have more officers to manage the DKP of a single raid
  • Automated Awarding and Charging systems:
    • Set up a table with the DKP to award the raid when the given boss is killed
    • Give DKP on a hourly base (Hourly bonus)
    • Award the most hard-core gamers with the IronMan bonus, which gives DKP to the players who stayed for the whole raid.
    • Give custom raid awards as a bonus, just with a click.
    • Define a table of items and the DKP to charge a player when the given item is Looted
    • Monitor the Raid Chat for winners of items, to charge them.
    • Import bid results from almost all bid manager addons around. (EG: BidManiac)
    • Redistibute DKP from a member to other Raid members with the ZeroSum function.
  • Alternatives Support (New in V 2.5): You can easily define alts. Each alt is related to a Main Character, and will share his DKP amounts and his Log.
  • External Support (New in V2.5.1): Add players that aren't in your guild to QDKP's local Guild Roster.
  • On-Demand info system (New in V2.5.1): Guildmembers (and external members) can whisper you a keyword to get DKP data, logs, DKP top-tens based on class or rank, items prices,....

....And more....

To Do List:

  • Revisited GUI (2.6.0)
  • New Session system (2.6.0)
  • Simple and flexibile built-in bid manager (2.6.0?)
  • Syncronization of Log and External's data (2.6.x)
  • Export of dkp and log's data in TXT, HTML and XML formats with a copy/paste system. (2.6.x)
  • Localization (Support is there, miss some strings and, most of all, contribution)
  • Multiple members selection (sooner or later)
  • GUI Options editor with support for syncronization among guildmembers (sooner or later)

Optional Addons / Forks:

If you'd like to export QDKP data to your guild's website, Rozak has written an awesome PHP script , which is able to read the DKP data from the backup file (WTF/StoredVariables/QDKP_V2.lua). Carask has developed annother exporting script as well, you can find it here. Both of those script are made for PHP, so you'll need a website which supports it.

Repent modified QDKP in order to work with EP-GP rather than DKP. You can read more here.

If you are looking for a bid manager to use with QDKP V2, i can point you to BidManiac, It works out-of-the-box with QDKP winner detection system.

  • So, Lets say we start the raid at 9:00 with 32 people.
Since only 25 get in, 7 are "benched".
If 4 of those benched players decide to log alts or drop the raid group for daily/quests how do I continue to track them as STANDBY players in the raid?

Do I have to remember to add each of them to standby????
When I add them to standby will it track their alts to? (Provided I associate the alt with main)
If they get swapped into the raid, do I need to take them off standby?

Also, I understand Offline players are not counted. But What about AFK players? Does it stop the timer for them while AFK? I want to prevent a player from joining raid, going AFK for 20 mins and getting time considerations while they are AFK....

  • @thebreaker1205: I recently changed from using 'SRaidframes'(SRF) to 'X-Perl' and the command line started to work again. I was curious so re-installed 'SRF' to see if the problem came back, and it did. So it seems to be SRF causing it and i can only think that it was there lastest update that introduced the problem as i've never had this problem with previous SRF versions installed.

@chowhongl: to make QDKP work with WIM, just add its commands (?dkp etc.) to the ignore list of WIM.

  • @chowhongl: I never used any message manager. As soon as QDKP will be in beta testing, i'll check out what the problem is.

@mrobinson833: My alpha version of QDKP doesn't have that issue. Maybe i resolved it by chance, or maybe your guild has a peculiar configuration that bugs the feature. Hold fast, we'll figure it out as the new beta will be out.

To all: developement of QDKP is still going, but is slow. ATM i can give about 1 hour per day to the project, and not every day. On the other hand, you'll probably won't need DKPs for some time now, since WOTKL is almost there! :D
