MobMitigation is an Ace2 mod that calculates and displays enemy resistances and armor.

MobMitigation analyzes the amount of damage that lands from certain spells and abilities, and turns that information into either a percentage or an estimate of a resistance or armor value. This is a handy guess, but it is just that; a guess. It will not attempt to scan your gear, your buffs, or your enemy buffs in order to attempt to extract an exact value. It does not account for your spell hit or your level compared to the enemy. It is very much a rough estimate. This is intentional, and not just because I'm lazy -- buff, debuff, and gear scanning can have a major impact on performance. That said, MobMitigation will often come up with a pretty accurate value.

Options

  • /mobmitigation savedata - Toggles saving data between sessions.
  • /mobmitigation layout - Toggles between horizontal and vertical layout.
  • /mobmitigation lock - Locks and Unlocks the data display frame.
  • /mobmitigation percentage - Toggles display of mitigation as a percentage or as an estimated armor/resistance value.
  • /mobmitigation tooltip - Toggles display of tooltips (and consequently, the right-click options menu).

For some reason the addon tracks spell resists but not the armor values. I'm using the standard american game and am a druid. I thought maybe it didn't track the feral skills but autoattacking didn't help either.

After reading through the script I see that none of the druid melee skills are being tracked. I tried some hack work on it but it's way too unreliable considering each form has a different autoattack value and I couldn't figure out how to get it to track Maul and Ferocious Bite since all druids regardless of spec have those.

hi, i just downloaded your mod, looked like exactly what i was looking for. Just something simple to track a rough estimate of mob resistances. However, after installing the mod i logged in, and couldnt find any icons, or anything in the tooltip.

Do you know of any conflicts this mod has with other mods? i dont specifically have any mods that affect tooltips, but i do use quite a few other ace-2 mods. Is there a way to center the icons in the middle to see them easier? or can you tell me the default location?

i did check the mod list at the char select screen, it shows the mod as enabled, and i went through most of the options (show/hide, etc etc), but still nada.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me, from the screenshots looks like a great mod.

edit: alright i got this working, barely noticed the tiny little O right above my characters model, but once i got that i could figure the rest out.

only criticisms are there should be a toggle to keep the icons and #'s on at all times to make for easier moving so you dont need a target to see them and possibly a shrink/grow option because those icons are very small.

other than that, very nice mod, simple, clean, seems pretty accurate as well.

    Nymbia,

Before anything, i would like to say i thanks for your addons, i loved ur frames so much.

Im currently looking for a armor metter, since TBC came im interested on new bosses aromors to see if its worth to cast CoR, Fairefare, above the sunder armor, more now since the raids are 10-25, so using certain debuffs might be good for certain fights, etc.

There is a way to calculate the armor very effectivly, almost 100% accurate. This can be achived by certain attacks that dont have ranges, but fixed values. Example Rogues kick/gouge, warriors Bloodthirst/Hamstring, etc. This would give and excact number of how much its mitigated.

I used to use another addon in the past but seems it hasnt been updated lately, maybe it can be usefull.

Anyway, thanks for the great mods u have giving us thru this 2 years of playing wow.

    Take care

Is it possible to monitor wand shoot resists?

This is a great addon, but for some reason the icons are jumbled together too much on my screen to be able to read it cleanly. The icons stack on top of each other completely, on both Horizontal and Vertical layouts.

    I'm on the English 2.0.4.

What client language are you using?

This doesn't seem to work at all, all it ever shows is "No Data" would be quite nice if it did work though !
