What is Stackpack?
Have you ever had to destroy an item just to free up space, only to find out that you could've combined 2 or more stacks of the same item? Stackpack searches each of your bags and stacks items together.
What about the bank?
Stackpack will stack your items in the bank as well, and ignores any changes to your normal bags so you can easily split and add partial stacks to your bank slots as you please. Additionally, Stackpack fully supports users of all inventory management addons.
What if I don't want to stack temporarily?
You can either bind a key to temporarily disable Stackpack (which will re-enable itself automatically after the next inventory change) or you can use the /sp toggle command. To turn Stackpack off permanently, you can use the /sp off command. Using /sp on will turn it back on.
Do I have to do that every time I trade?
Nope. Stackpack will not stack items while the trade window is open. That being said, please open the trade window before you try to split items if you want to take advantage of this feature.
What about sending mail?
Stackpack will not stack items while the send mail window is open, making it easy to split and send partial stacks as you please. Stackpack will resume stacking when the read mail window is open, or when the mail frame is closed altogether.
Troubleshooting
Please post any problems/feature requests/comments you have here, and I will usually reply within a few days, and if necessary, a release will be posted in a similar time frame.
Thanks for using Stackpack ;)

BJRubino saidI am having trouble with this addon with my hunter toon. I get an error when I log-in: "Line 288 Usage: GetItemInfo(itemID|"name"|"itemlink")
Any help on getting this fixed is greatly appreciated.

Djuice saidFor some reason, Curse has reverted back to v1.4 as the latest download, which is obviously incorrect. The latest version is 1.6 (which fixes the tradeskill bag issue posted by Psyboyo), which can be downloaded from CurseForge here:http://wow.curseforge.com/projects/stackpack/
Apparently files require approval, and 1.5 got lost in the sauce or something. Hang tight until 1.6 is approved. For those of you who want to download it straight away, you can download directly from my website:

Psyboyo saidBUG! Juice, my friend, its maybe the funniest bug ever: I just equipped 3 enchanting bags with diverse enchanting content, but not full bags, and when I opened all bags at once, items just started dancing from bag to bag, in a eternal attempt to perfect stacking... after a minute or so, the CPU started to smoke, and I had to take down WoW by force. So, heres another challenging one to you mate, cheers! ^^

Djuice saidStackpack 1.5 is released!
This version brings faster guild bank stacking, stacks projectiles, and moves tradeskill items into tradeskill bags.
Thanks to daxdax for the feature request - It's a great addition!

Djuice saiddaxdax,
That's a very, very good point. I will put that feature into Stackpack 1.5, which I will start working on immediately.

daxdax saidheres the thing: To maximize carrying capacity, I have a 28 slot enchanting bag and a 28 slot engineering bag. Sometimes, however, items from the mailbox are put in the default backpack. Then it says I'm out of space - however, If i put the engineering and enchanting items in the proper bags, I'd have tons of space. I love stackpack - but it doesn't check bag types. Do you think you can make it so it puts trade items in the appropriate bag?

Djuice said1.3 had a typo which was causing the fix not to work. I tested and guild banks now stack, however the stacking is quite slow on my machine - ONLY in guild banks. I am looking into this issue as well, but for now, stack away :)

Djuice saidHi folks, I will look into this as soon as I press the Post button :)
Also, please note that while the guild bank is open, items in your normal bags will NOT stack. This is intended -- yes, just like the mailbox :)
I will release a fix as soon as I can get this bug to happen again for me!

brendon saidItems in the guild bank to not auto stack for me either. For example if there is a stack of 18 herbs in the guild bank and I move a stack of 5 into the guild bank the two stacks stay seperate instead of becoming one stack of 20 herbs and one stack of 3 herbs.

Psyboyo saidBUG: I still break stacks in guild bank, and they dont stack up again... I tried for a clean install, ie. to delete first any files/leftovers in WTF folder, but there is none. Also tried with the guild master and another lower rank and nothing happens (could have been a permission conflict of sorts, but does not look like it is)
What I know is, when the guild bank (GB) is open, breaking stacks in the GB dont trigger the addon, movings objects in an attempt to trigger, dont work also. And, when GB is open, breaking stacks in our own bags dont trigger the addon, so there is something here. Opening and closing our bags, while BG is open, dont stack itens. Moving half stacks in our bags while BG is open, also dont restack.
Could it be something like the code you introduced for the mailbox, when mail is open we can break freely in our bags...? Could same be happening with GB, while it is open?
Then I did the ultimate test, I emptied the Interface folder, leaving only Stackpack addon: Guild bank still dont stack items, and there is no possible addon conflict.
Dont know how its working for you and not us mate.

Djuice saidmykroft,
1.3 should've corrected any issues with the guild bank. At least, it has for me. If you still experience issues with the guild bank in 1.3, please give me the exact error message and line number as reported by Swatter or similar error handler.
Thanks!!

Djuice saidWell I combed and combed through the code, but from what I could gather, it appeared that I just needed to handle a null return from GetGuildBankItemLink(). I receive no errors with this version, but oddly, I stopped receiving errors in 1.2 after I cleared Swatter's cache. Please post back here if you get errors with 1.3 and I will look deeper into this.. but at this point it seems like a quick fix.
I hope :)

Djuice saidHi there!
@Psyboyo - Stackpack does not constantly scan your bags! When your bag inventory changes (i.e. an item is added or removed), WoW triggers an event. Stackpack simply registers for access to this event, meaning it uses NO processing power at all during regular gameplay. Fear not, it is a very very lightweight addon!
@lewal - I apologize, I had no idea the guild bank feature was broken! I logged in and tested only my inventory. I will work on an update for the guild bank feature immediately, and a new version will be released in a day or two. Thanks!!

Psyboyo saidHi there, BUG found. Or at least a conflict with EasyMail: When easyMail is auto receiving all mail from the inbox, certain items that have a semifull stack on bag, get stuck by Stackpack that is trying to do its work <--> and EasyMail that is trying to put another item on the bag. I would like to see these two guys working toghether, since EasyMail is part os the great Cosmos Khaos, thousands of users since the beggining of WoW. I am also concerned about the amount of CPU used constantly, the checking of bags and banks to do its stacking... could you explain us brieflly how its done?... Because if indeed, the checking is constant, you could do an option (somewhat) to only stack things when bags become open, when bank becomes open, and no constant seeking of bag contents. This should easy the CPU for us. Its a great addon mate, keep up the good work! ^^
Edit: It seems the conflict only occours when EasyMail is receiving items from multiple item mails, but coudn't fully confirm this yet.
