Description

This addon helps organizing the healer in your raid. You have 9 groups which each 4 slots to assign healers on. After you have arrangement the healers you can broadcast it to the raidchat or to an extra channel.

Usage

To open the dialog you can setup a keybinding in the options. If the dialog is opened move the healer from the left "Remains"-part to the healer-group. Click on a grouplabel to change them. There are several tokens which will be replaced in the labels.
%MT1% until %MT10%
This will become MT1 or MT1(playername) if it can read out the MT from the Addons CT_Raid or oRA2

When you have made an arrangement you can broadcast it via the buttons "Raid" or "Channel". For broadcasting to a channel you need to join the channel before and enter the name of this channel. The resetbutton will reset all healers to the "Remains"-group.

Autofill

Since v1.1 there is an autofill function. Hover over an empty slot and use your mousewheel. It will cycle througth the following labels:
Empty
Priest
Druid
Paladin/Shaman
return to Empty

If you have setup the slotclasses for the groups press on "Autofill" and it will try to fill the empty slots with an matching healer.

Sets

You can define 30 sets which can be saved, loaded and deleted. Each set saved the labels and slotclasses from the groups. It does not save the healers itself, it make no sence because the lineup normaly changed every raid.

Slashcommand

The Slashcommand for this addon is /healorganizer and /hlorg. There are the following options beside the default from Ace2:
dialog
This shows and hides the dialog. So you can use it in a makro and use the same makro for showing and hiding the dialog. Since there is also a keybinding support this option is obsolute.
autosort
This option toggle the autosort behavior for the groups. Disable it if you want to change the order in the groups. By default it is on and it sorts the healers first by the class (priest before druid before paladin/shaman), second by name.

Hi i just tried Heal Organizer to replace my usual macros system last night on Vasjh, i like it, but there some work that can improve it, here's my feedback\wishlist:

    - On the Remaining option, if I don't time anything he outputs "ffa", must be a bug.
    - Missing a "Notes" field, to output text about the assignments.
    - Option to disable the whisper option.
    - On an fight like Vashj there's assignments for phases 1 an 3 and other assignments for phase 2, heal organizer doesn't does this, it was imba if one assignment could have multiple phase assignments, on which assignment had a title.
    - Ability to save the players on the profiles, while players most of times change, sometimes it don't, also if not saving the players, with a wow disconnect everything is lost.

There isn't a way to put a single healer in two groups, and the mod does not check talent builds.

    Hiho,

as the Wiki is empty I'd ask two questions here:
    - how to define one healer in two or more groups?
    - how to remove non-healers (like shadow priests) from the list?
    Thanks in advance!

Hey great addon. I was just wondering if anyone knows how you use the addon to select the same healer for multiple targets, i.e. assign a healer to 2 MTs without changing the labels? Is there an easy way to do this? Just for context, this would be for rotating healer groups to heal the MTs on the Al'ar fight in The Eye.

Any help on this would be great :)

    Developement stopped.

The developement of this addon is stopped, both for HealOrganizer and the unfinished HealOrganizer3. My account ends mid march and I have no any time to play wow. So, if you want to take the lead of the developement ask me or just fork it.

I'm planning a new version, you should add any comments on http://www.wowace.com/wiki/HealOrganizer/Version3 ;)

I love this addon, but I'd really like to be able to save actual assignments with player names instead of just the classes. That way I could set up a trash healing assignment, make boss healing assignments along the way, and rebroadcast the trash mob assigns after bosses.

Also, when someone leaves the raid, their name isn't removed from the healer list. Their names aren't broadcast with the assignments, but it is kind of annoying : \

Thank you Progman for a great addon!

    Hi,

First : great mod. I've been using it for weeks and really like it as it is simple and very efficient.

I'd like to suggest some feature requests.

    • concerning "Autofill" :

When a group is set as a %MTi%, would it be possible to firstly autofill the healers with people in that MT's group?

    • current set and next set :

In an instance, I usually assign healers for Trash Mobs, then prepare the boss encounter. But when a healer whisps me "heal", the addon replies the boss assignment instead of the trash one, even if I didn't broadcast it yet. So basically, would it be possible to kinda save the last broadcasted assignment? That way, people whispering me could see their actual status (and not the future assignment). To go further, I would love to have a pop-up with every assignment I have broadcasted for the current raid and be able to reload any of them.

Thx, and tell me If there is a better way to submit feature requests ;)

PS : sorry for my english. I hope you understood what I meant ^^

In the file HealOrganizer.lua, delete near line 743 the command with "this:SetPoint(......)". It looks like this isn't nessessary anymore.

Since it is only a little change I will not release it as new version, but if you update from the svn I have commit the changes.

i just changed toc to v1.3.141592 and everything seems well

  • Dec. 9, 2006, 02:00PM (1 year, 6 months ago)

Changed it for wow2.0 Added RosterLib-2.0 and Babble-Class-2.0 (but doesn't still use it...)

This is, as you notice the "b", a beta-release (althought its marked here as stable). I got a lot of "$Addon is blocked"-messages during developing, so I dont know if this works properply.

(btw.: why are the comments sorted wrong?)

I love this addon, thanks for supporting it for 2.0

If you dont know, this is the easiest mod for organizing heals. And it's ace'd!

    A must for raid leaders.

Anyone know if this will be updated for 2.0?

  • Dec. 4, 2006, 09:37AM (1 year, 7 months ago)

Great addon, makes the RL much easier.

1 feature request: Having this mod sync with others in raid. It would be nice to decuss on ventrilo while seeing the updates being made, but make it so only promoted ppl could change :)
