With this addon, you can assign buff to raid members.
This addon actually works for priest, mage, paladin and druid.
Look at the screenshot for more details :)
- patch 2.0 ready
- bugs corrections
- join / leave raid seems to work
Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Helfgrim saidI'm assuming this addon is dead? Which is a shame, from all the addons I looked at that let you assign buffs in raids, this looked like one of the best and most intuitive to use.

Lateria saidHi,
actually I'm working on other things so don't have much time for this addon. I will try to complete the beta I never post (working with Ace2 - Waterfall)
it looks like http://home.euphonynet.be/lateria/addons/WoWScrnShot_082607_193641.jpg http://home.euphonynet.be/lateria/addons/WoWScrnShot_082607_193708.jpg

Lateria said@kall: I'm currently working on a way to dont give the possibility to assign the same group to several players. It will be available in the next version. I will look for the others bugs. Thanks for the report.
About you wishes. In fact, a player joining/leaving raid _should_ be added/removed from the list. It is working... sometime. I hope it will be corrected in the next version.
About the grid, some people have already asked me to get back to this. I'm currently looking into the Ace lib on how coding that.

Kall saidBugs in 0.9.3: - The option to show all entries for one player in one line doesn't work. KKBK still posts several lines. - It is possible to assign the same group to sevaral players. - If you detach the overview window from the minimap and then change an assignment, the overview will not be refreshed.
Wishes: - Is it possible to include a "refresh" button? If a player (a buffer) joins the raid I have to assign all buffs again because I need to press the reset function to get the player into the list. A refresh functionality would be very helpful. Or is it a bug? Should a change of raid members enforce a refresh? - In prior version it was much more comfortable to assign the groups to the buffers. Now with the new version it's very hard to ensure that all groups are assigned. Is it possible to get back the assigning grid?
Overall: Nice addon. But the earlier versions were much more comfortable.

jackl saidAceOO, AceConsole are missing. Added them manually in the toc and the files in the libs folder. Defining Ace2 as optional dependencie is a bit funny, btw :-) Will check it out when the servers are stable enough to form a raid, but looks very nice so far.

Uebi saidFirst of all, I love your addon. I tried v. 0.9.2 some days ago and I just love the Ace and Fubar support. But then again, I have to report you a bug. Not sure if I do something wrong, but everytime I join a raid. I reset my addon to get new and clear assigments. I always just see 7 groups instead of 8 even though I have 40 people in the raid. This still occurs even after a relog.
I hope you can fix that bug or tell me, that it is my fault ;)
Cheers

Lateria saidHi,
I'm currently finishing a new release of kkbk.
the changelog is - complete rewriting using Ace2 libs - works alone or as a FuBar plugin - automaticaly add / remove people joining / leaving raid - send assignments by blizzard hidden channel, so if every people in the raid have kkbk, you didn't have to send (and spam ^^) all assignments, people show them in their kkbk. - no problem to send assignments between differents language client. - /w <player> kkbk send only your assignments - /w <player> kkbk all send all assignemnts - /w <player> kkbk druid|mage|priest|paladin send assignemts for this class.
As it's a complete rewriting, I need some testing, so please post all bugs you found. I need also a complete rewriting of the deDE translation (Aphelandra, need you ^^)

Jensaarai saidI don't know if this is changed in 0.9.2 yet, but you know how you can say /w player kkbk druid and get druid buffs, but for me I'm a paladin, so I can't set druid buffs (Only Paladin shows up on Assignments), so why do that? Am I supposed to be able to set druid/mage/priest buffing groups?

Lateria said@jensaarai: if you uncheck "show only my class" in the options submenu, you will be able to set assignments for other class. It's used by some raid leader. If you want to only show assignments for your class, let this options checked.
you can /w player kkbk paladin and if someone /w you druid for instance, he receive a "nothing to buff for druid" answer for you
@mymycracra: thanks for the report, I will look this.
