About CT_MailMod

CT_MailMod adds a several mailing options to your mail window.

Mass Mailing: This option allows you to send up to 21 items or stacks of items to the same person with one click. Simply enter their name and add the items, the subject will automatically show each items name.

The body text will show items #x of #y for however many you send. (#1 of 14)

The total amount for sending all mails will be calculated into the upper right of the window, and a confirmation box will ensure you know. Each mail will start to send when the previous mail has sent.

CT_MailMod also adds the ability to Alt+Click item functionality. Alt+clicking an item will add it to both regular mail and Mass Mail screens, as well as to a trade window with another player. In addition, if sending a regular mail, and the subject field is left blank, the items name will automatically be put into the subject.

CT_MailMod also adds the ability to auto-fill guildmates names. Previously, only people on your friends list would be auto filled.

A Forward button has been added when reading a mail, which will pull any item out of a mail, put it into your inventory, attach it to a new mail, and send to the specified recipient.

In addition to the sending tools, CT_MailMod also adds tools for receiving mail. Adding checkboxes to the left of each message, you can check the ones you would like to open, and hit Open Selected at the top to 'mass-open'. Or if you would like to open all of your mail at once, hit the Open All key. Note that when Open All is pressed, any mail with messages only (no items or coin) will be skipped. Additionally items that are unique will be skipped.

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

WoW Always gives me the message that there are excessive Lua Errors and if i want to turn off all addons or ignore, ONLY when I have this addon turned on. This thing is bug ridden. Is it even supported anymore?

I'm also experiencing mail sometimes being deleted, including pending payment from a successful auction.

Also, is there any way to speed up message looting? It takes like 3 seconds per message... it's actually faster for me to manually loot.

Just noticed that CTMail is actually deleting pending posts from my mailbox under certain circumstances. This typically occurs when the mailbox contains pending posts sandwiched between current posts, such as occurs in typical auction house trading. CT Mail frequently deletes the first pending post it comes to, and then hangs, or deletes all the pending posts without stopping.

Given that these posts contain money this is a pretty serious error and I am trying to find out how to report this bug to the author.

If you're talking about the stuff you get from the AH when someone buys your stuff, the Pending messages DONT contain money. They tell you that in XX minutes you'll be getting $$.

clicking on ainyan's link gives an error.. he has the site right, but his link redirects to a bad reference.. its the curse site doing it when you post it changes a www link to some weird http reference...

www.ctmod.net, the developer's site, has has an updated one since the day after the patch and it's been continually updated since then. Not sure why they haven't updated the DL on Curse, but I'd get it direct from ctmod if you want it.

I have found that I don't need the mass mail, blizz mass mail works fine, I can open one box and take out what I want (lets say healing potions for one box, elixirs in another), the box is still there for 29 days. The alt click has changed to right clicking the mouse button (for me). I do miss the forward button and don't trust the Open Selected!

But other then that, I am okay with this. I use other addons (as do you all) which may be giving me the right click to add things into the mail box, let me know if you can. :)

They say on their page that mass mail is in the mail mod, so it should be there right? It's not there, and the blizzard implemented mail thing is not good enough. I want the old mass mail back, and the alt click to add mails. The only thing good about the newest mail mod is that it's fast to open mails...

When I select only certain messages to open and click "Open Selected," everything gets opened, although sometimes if I select all, only a few things get opened.

And as others have said, there is no Forward button.

Well... my biggest problem right now is the fact that I cant Forward any mail... that and the ability to open all was the 2 things I used most...

Even the updated version they released after patch 2.3 is very buggy. Sometimes it won't open mail at all, if you checked "Open All". Sometimes it opens mail, you didn't check to open :/
The only good thing now is the speed of opening - very fast.
