This addon should now be working for BC and 2.0 again. If you run into any errors post them and I will work on fixing them asap!

Changing all instances of "string.gfind" to "string.gmatch" seems to have fixed all of my Wonderrep errors.

I actually have been getting some errors that only seem to effect the text it outputs to the chat log.

I've modified my version to change the string that generates the error and I'll see tonight it it fixed the problem.

I currently havn't had any errors running this since the patch (as ganzor said update the TOC). If you run into any let me know so I can fix them before I upload and updated version (just changing the version).

If you change the interface version in the TOC file it seems to work fine currently.

@Zexi - Thanks for posting that! had the directory in the zip named wrong, fixed in the new version.

Can you add an option to disable the changing of the rep bar altogether? I turn my bar off, but I still want the announcements about rep changes to happen. It probably wouldn't even be necessary if Blizzard had stacked the chat window on top of the action bars properly. When the rep bar is activated, the chat window that is docked, slides just behind the bar it's supposed to be docked to. The amount is the same exact height as the rep bar. When I turn off the rep bar, the problem goes away.

Nice idea but I get an error (math type) when I use it - the bar seems ok

  • June 28, 2006, 05:25PM (1 year, 10 months ago)

    @cragzop -

Could you be a bit more clear on the error? What you were doing and also the exact error message would help a lot. Its hard to fix something when I don't know whats causing it (I'm not getting any errors while using it on my characters).

Thanks for the report ethier way!

Feel free to leave comments on instances you would want put in for new versions (I meant to add more but wanted to fix a bug tonight).

It worked great tonight - the only thing I'd changed was to turn off better exp bar. I'll try adding that back in and see if I get the same error.

Sorrry for what seems like a false alarm

Its possible the error you got was the same one I fixed. Also the error would only show up when first using the addon (had someone report the error on another site). :)

Feature suggestion: An option that when you receive a reputation reward tells you how many more of that value of a reward are needed to level.

For instance, when I turn in a stack of Runecloth at Orgrimmar, it would tell me how many more stacks need to be turned in to hit the next reputation level.

@TRM_Bull: This is currently in WonderRep. Make sure you have "Announce left" turned on in the options, also your interval should be set pretty low. Everytime you get rep (if your interval is set at 1) wonderrep will print a message about how much reputation to the next level, and how many reputation gains (kills, turnins, ect) needed for the next level.

    Hope that helps.

Also expect an update in a week or so when 1.12 goes live which will add an option for WonderRep to estimate how much time is left to the next level at your current rate. Mostly helpfull when grinding rep by killing mobs.

Finally got around to finishing this update. If you have both the announce how many kills and how long turned on the messages are combined into one to save chat space. Hope everyone likes it, and if you run into problems please let me know!

Could you change the /wr command so it would not conflict with Weapon Rebuff, maybe /wrep for short command? Great addon though, Ill be using it.
