I've rewritten CDT from the ground up using Ace2. Configuration is now done through the FuBar plugin or the minimap icon.
Cooldown Timer Bars will scan your spellbook/inventory for skills/items that are in cooldown and will create draggable bars for your cooldowns.
-Lots of changes since the last update. Sorry for teh amount of slow.
-Speeddydemon has converted CDT2 to profiles and added a GUI
-New stuff includes:
-Pulsing on finish, a la JIM's cooldown pulse
-Pulsing bars when you try to use a skill still on cooldown
-The ability to share cooldowns with other users of this mod. This is off by default
-Likely other stuff I can't remember
-Bugfixes by Speeddy
Note: Some of the options for the new features like group sharing and the pulse icon are not in the gui yet. Those will be coming later. Until then, use the dropdown.
Installation Guide
- Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
- Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
- Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
- Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
- WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
- WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
- StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
- Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
- Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
- Start World of Warcraft
- Make sure AddOns are installed
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.
Translations
When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".
TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)
When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.
If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support
WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Tjorriemorrie saidI like this addon, but it is very unstable.
I like using the GUI, and I have to click again on the left-list after selecting a group to get it to display. The GUI is very non-user-friendly.
Where is the anchor for the pulse?? I like that, but not in the topright corner where it pisses me off.
Please make it easier to unlock the bars. PS: the announcement-part crashed after i unlocked it once.
Make the grouping easier. I would like all the cooldowns in one group. doesn't seem to work. i deleted the other groups, but it just defaults back. also, i could change the defaults once, and ever since I can't. will deleting the variables help? (wherever that is located, lol).
The bar seems to have a greenish background. where do i change that color?
the bar width is too small.
I like this, but is it a beta?

zyy saidI want a way to add/remove from Announce & Pulse individual cooldowns or cooldown groups. Is that possible? If not, can it be added? I only want a few of my most critical cooldown completions showing up with announce/pulse but I want cooldown counts for those few and all the rest.
Thanks,
Zy

Aphyosis saidLove the mod, but i would love to see some more customization for the bars :). That said, i cannot change the colors, minimum length of the CD or the max, and a number of other settings. Anything i change resets the moment i close the window, or change tabs. : / any ideas?

Angel_of_Rust saidGreat mod. I recently went through and replaced the last of my non-ace mods, and have been using this and your buff mod instead of DoTimer (and it's cooldown portion). Very happy to see a solid ace cooldown mod. The one thing I do miss is the ability to show just an icon with a timer underneath. I am a very visual player and am looking for something close to the way buffalo handles buffs as apposed to EBB which is what I would say is more equivalent to the way you show timers with your mods.
I don't know if that is something you would be interested/able to do but if it is CyCircled suppoert would be fantastic. I like having everthing look the same =). If this isn't something you would wawnt to add, do you know of a different mod that could help me accomplish the same goal?
In any case, both this and sorrentimers very good mods all around, keep up the good work.

CGLund saidHey.
Great Addon.
But i would like some colors. Like Grey, Violet, Purple, Brown, Pink.
There are some items cooldowns that dont work with CDT. Like Bandage's.
Another thing that would be cool. Would be Buff cooldowns, and cooldowns for when you are stund, poisend, and so on.
Looking forward for the next update. ;-)

Darion12 saidIs this mod still being supported here? If you go to fttp://files.wowace.com//CooldownTimers2/ you can see many more versions, although I have no idea what state they are in. And to mod questions:
1. Can you make the announce timer longer?
2. Can you make an option for the announce to blink on screen and give the tone every time it blinks. Better to catch your attention.
3. Can you make an option for the announce text to scroll? Sometimes 2 pop up at roughly the same time and one gets missed when over written by the other.
4. Can you add any functionality in the potion timer - like checking to see if you mana is below a set threshold and an announce to pop up saying - pop a potion?
Great mod - thanks for consideration of the ideas.

Beastofblood saidso i spent the last hour tryin to open up the mod cause i accidentally closed the option menu and wanted to move my items bar and spells bars away so they don't overlap and it won't show my arcane power, presence of mind or evocation cool downs because I didn't set it to show cool downs over w/e the default time is... I'm sure if I played with it I could figure out how to do all this but i closed it and can't open up the options...
(things i've tried: unistalling all my addons and starting with none then starting with CDT and unistalling CDT only and restarting but no luck)

FynexFox saidLet me make you guys a walk through guide - here is how I set mine up.
1) Download mod 2) install mod 3) right click on the mini map icon>mouse over max time>in the box put: 999999999999, press enter. 4) I like my items and skills in the same list, so I went to group settings, items, and deleted the group, so now all of my cool downs are in one list. 5) I set the default bar style as Banto. 6) Set the bar scale as 1.2, this makes it noticeable, readable, and the icon isn't all squished. 7) Use a long coll down as reference, and move the cool down bars to the edge of the screen where you want them.
This should make every cool down work, and it'll look cool too!
And! The announcement scale doesn't work.
