Description

Bongos is an action bar replacement designed to be both low memory, and easy to setup. It is not as feature rich as other bar mods, but should include the features most commonly used.

Included Addons

Bongos2: The core addon.
Bongos2 ActionBar: Breaks up the main action bar into movable parts.
Bongos2 Stats: A display for latency, framerate, and memory usage
Bongos2 RollBar: Makes the frame for rolling on items movable
Bongos2 CastBar: A movable casting bar, with the ability to show cast time.
Bongos2 XP: A movable experience/reputation bar
Bongos2 Options: A dynamically loaded options menu for Bongos.

Features

Every Bongos bar can be moved, hidden, scaled, and have its opacity altered
Sticky bars: Each bar can be automatically anchored to any other bar simply by moving one bar near the other.
Access to 120 action buttons, which can be set up in any number of bars.
Customizable stance transitions for each bar

Usage

General

To bring up the options menu: type /bongos menu
To unlock bars: uncheck the lock bars option in the main options menu
To hide or show a bar: unlock bars, then middle click or shift right click it
To move a bar: unlock bars, and then click and drag it with the left mouse button
To bring up a bar's configuration menu, right click it

Key Bindings

Bindings for the Bongos action bar should only be done via the bindings menu in Bongos
To bind keys, open the main options panel, and select the bindings option. Hover over a button, then press a key to bind it to that button

Action Bars

Accessing general action bar options: open up the main options window (/bongos menu) and select the action bars panel
Adjusting the layout of a given bar: unlock bars and right click the bar you want to adjust to bring up its configuration menu
Moving buttons: Hold down the key for moving buttons (shift by default), and drag a button. Alternatively, unlock button positions by shift right clicking the mini map button, or unchecking the option in the main options menu
Making a bar bigger: You can increase the maximum size of a given bar by reducing the number of action bars. To do so, adjust the action bars slider on the action bar panel of the main options menu. This option will reset the settings of your actionbars

Stances and Paging

Stances and paging are configured via a bar's right click menu. Select the stances or paging panel and adjust the offsets to change what buttons are displayed for an actionbar in a given state.

Slash Commands

All commands start with either /bongos, /bob, or /bgs
<barList> can have a possible value of an actionbar number, menu, bags, pet. class, or all
You can also specify a group or range of bars, the command /bo scale 1-3 class 1.2 will scale actionbars 1 2 3, and the class bar to 120% of their normal size.

 * /bongos lock - Toggles locking bars positions
 * /bongos show <barList> - Shows <barList>
 * /bongos hide <barList> - Hides <barList>
 * /bongos toggle <barList> - Toggles <barList>
 * /bongos scale <barList> <scale> - Sets the scale of <barList> to <scale>
 * /bongos setalpha <barList> <opacity> - Sets the opacity of <barList> to <opacity>
 * /bongos set <profile> - Sets the current character to use <profile>
 * /bongos copy <profile> - Copies all settings from <profile>
 * /bongos delete <profile> - Deletes <profile>
 * /bongos reset - Loads default settings
 * /bongos version - Displays what version of bongos you're running
 * /keybound - Toggles keybinding mode

Reporting Bugs

When reporting bugs, give me what version of WoW you are running, what addons you're running, your Bongos version (/bongos version), your class, and attempt to reproduce the error with just Bongos enabled.

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

I can not get the default blizzard cast bar to go away even after uninstalling and making sure all folders related to it were gone and reinstalling the newest bongos 2. If there is anyone out there that can help me in getting the nasty blizzard ui cast bar to go away please do let me know.

First of all, great work!
I'm trying to make a macro that makes a button appear as long as I have something focused in WoW. I have everything figured out except how to make a actionbar (or a whole row, doesn't matter) disappear (change it to a hidden state). Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance!

Bei bongos wird mir meine Ausrüstungsfigur und die schieberegler für pvp türme net mehr angezeigt ! wo kann man das wider aktivieren ?

You're probably manually paging (caused by pressing a shift + number combination, or shift + mousewheel). Press shift + 1 to return to page 1.

I am having the same problem that rikhardur is having, i will be in the middle of something and all the buttons will go completely transparent. In bongo's options, opacity is turned all the way up and all the bars are locked. I have found that this is only present when bongos2 is active and it even effects Morganti Buff Bars and xPerl's buff.

Please help, Thank you.

Hey,
I have a bug that is killing me,

Action bar 1 : I have set for stance's : battle stance for bar 1 def for bar2 and zerk for bar 3 friendly for bar 5.

the bug is :

Action bar 1 will go on stealth mode and I cant see it any more this happens random.

so I'm tanking or in pvp what ever and random my Action bar 1 will go puff and its gone, and always it happens in the most horrible moment, I did try to /reloadui many times does not work, I have to exit the game and log back in to get my Action bar 1 back.

I have only 3 addons X-Pearl Bongos and CD timer 2.

Think after the 2.4 patch I'm getting this bug, I think ,

so on random my Action bar1 will turn fuck off and my key bindings that I must have aswell for my battle stance , def stance and zerk stance .

please help this his killing my game and I cant play like this .

funny if your tanking and you cant sheild block and revenge any more in midfight or in pvp and you cant use any zerker skills or arms skills.....

fix meh..

Hey there,
bongos2 is really nice, but i got a weired problem that i cant get rid of it...
On my mainchar, the Bags/mobinfo/questinfo are not at the right side of the screen, they are 2-3 cm away from it... so when i open my bags, i see nearly nothing...
But on ALL my Twinks, i copyed the profile from the Mainchar and there is all correct...no space between right side and bags of anything else...

Does anyone know, how i can fix that?

i can't find my keyring button anymore. there isn't an option to make it visible on the bongos option window either. i know it used to be there. using bongos2.

First, I just want to say I love this mod. It does exactly what I need it to do. One problem I have come across, seems only recently I suppose, is that I cannot get "Lock Button Positions" to stay on. I check the box and everything is fine until I log out and come back and the box is unchecked and the buttons are unlocked again. I have to set the option every time I log in now. I've tried redownloading Bongos2 and deleting the relative file from the WTF folder to start anew. Same problem occurs. I'll try messing with it more later but is this a known problem or is it just me?

I was wondering if it would be possible to make it so that when a rogue has 5 combo points on a mob that we could use that as a stance. IE when i have 5 combo points on bob my bar #1 becomes all my finishing moves.

Nevermind the above comment, however on my warrior when I right click the bar and go to stances, the slider bars wont move or anything. If there is something I should do; please advise.

using bongos 1.10.1
wow gameversion is 2.4

problem: before the new bongos i had no trouble using cooldowncount to show, in numbers, the remaining minutes and seconds left on my spell/ability. with the new bongos version (namely the bongos-actionbar part) the cooldown doesnt show. it shows when i dont load the actionbar part, but not with it. i downloaded the fan-update to cooldowncount to see if that works, but sadly it doesnt.

i posted this in another thread aswell by accident
