NOTE: This mod is no longer being developed

Many guilds use the Sunder Armor level on a mob to determine when the Warrior has built enough hate to hold the mob's aggro while everybody attacks. Of course, sunder armor is not the only way for a tank to generate threat and a good tank will employ multiple techniques while sundering armor. This addon relieves the tank of having to notify the raid that it's safe to attack by automatically sending an announcement once full sunder has been reached. It can make this announcement using say, yell, party chat, raid chat, and even /rs if you have RaidAssist (not required).

It can also keep the raid apprised of the tanks progress by announcing sunder levels to the group as well as notifying the warrior when sunder armor has been lost.

Finally, with the new group-wide Paladin blessings the tank will often end up with Blessing of Salvation on him, which he then must manually remove. SunderYell can be set to automatically remove this blessing whenever it appears on the tank, ensuring that maximum threat can be generated.

To configure SunderYell simply use the command /sunderyell once the addon is loaded. }}}

  • I am no longer playing WoW and won't be updating this mod any further. I have enable patches to be uploaded by users, so if a compatibility issue comes up in the future feel free to post a patch here for it.

  • Version 1.3.3 changes:

    - Fixed 2.0 compatibility issues

  • I'll take a look at it, I've been on vacation for a while and hadn't noticed that it wasn't doing its thing. Hopefully it'll be an easy fix.

I also downloaded the newest version and cannot get it to work. Looks awesome and can't wait to get the fix on this very useful tool. Please hurry :)

I have your newest version installed but it doesnt seem to work. It does not clear Salvation, and it does not do any of the yelling functions.

  • v1.2.3 Changes:

    - Updated for patch 1.10

  • v1.2.5 Changes:

    - Fixed bug causing a sundor armor tooltip to stay on the screen

    v1.2.4 Changes:

    - There is no v1.2.4. It's 2am here and I changed the version number from 3 to 5 by mistake, but now that the archive is made and uploaded, I don' want to redo it :)

  • Version 1.3 Changes

    - Modified threshold to be based on sunder count instead of sunder armor reduction (makes it compatible across all player levels) - Fixed bug in Salvation removal which could cause delays in removing Salvation

  • can you make it so a message will appear on screen also ?

  • > can you make it so a message will appear on screen also ?

If you choose the Raid Warning option you will broadcast a message onto everyone's screen. Just make sure the person running SY is the raid leader or an assist so they can send the warning message

  • Version 1.3.1 Changes

    - Updated for patch 1.12 compatibility

  • > 1. Integrate a boss finder and make the yell only active for the bosses.

Yeah, that'd be handy. It'd be a bitch coming up with a list of every boss in the game though.

    > 2. Only make yell, if the status before was out of combat. It makes no sense to yell several times in the same combat.

Should already be doing this, I can check to see if that code got broken.

    > 3. Add a option for a timer, to not yell twice in 30sec./1min. etc.

Shouldn't be necessary if everything else is working the way it's supposed to.

The behavior *should* be to only announce each sunder level once, even if sunder is lost and the levels have to be built up. It should also only announce full sunder once per combat, even if you switch targets.
