About Rogue Focus Classic

"I wanted an addon that show me Combo Points, Energy as well as Energy Ticks in one simple addon, so I decided to create Rogue Focus."
Lonny, original RogueFocus author.

Rogue Focus Classic has been created by Lonny (previously called RogueFocus), over time adding lots of bars not configurable and, in my opinion, losing the main purpose of this addon: show energy bar, combo bar and energy ticks in a simple and unique block.

So I've mostly rewritten this addon to remove bugs and add new features, and now works for both Rogues and Druids in Cat Form.
You can also activate window when in stealth, in combat, in other cases, and with all the possible combinations of these options. ;)
An audible ticks options has been added to "listen" the energy ticks. You can also have the ability to lock the addon window in order to don't interfere with mouse clicks.

Reminder: Rogue Focus Classic has reached its objectives. It comes without bugs and with the main features working well. If someone wants to integrate more bars, like DruidBar or RogueTimerFu, he can do it and he'll receive all my efforts to keep updated addon in this site, giving news and obviously adding his name in authors list. Remember only to give the ability to show/hide these new bars in the options window, in order to keep Rogue Focus Classic simple and clear like I wanted when I've put my hands on it. Thanks!

Installation Guide

Exit "World of Warcraft" completely
Download the mod you want to install
- Make a folder on your desktop called "My Mods"
- Save the .zip/.rar files to this folder.
- If, when you try to download the file, it automatically "opens" it... you need to RIGHT click on the link and "save as..." or "Save Target As".
Extract the file - commonly known as 'unzipping'
Do this ONE FILE AT A TIME!
- Windows
  - Windows XP a built in ZIP extractor. Double click on the file to open it, inside should be the file or folders needed. Copy these outside to the "My Mods" folder.
  - WinRAR: Right click the file, select "Extract Here"
  - WinZip: You MUST make sure the option to "Use Folder Names" is CHECKED or it will just extract the files and not make the proper folders how the Authors designed
- Mac Users
  - StuffitExpander: Double click the archive to extract it to a folder in the current directory.
Verify your WoW Installation Path
That is where you are running WoW from and THAT is where you need to install your mods.
Move to the Addon folder
- Open your World of Warcraft folder. (default is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\)
- Go into the "Interface" folder.
- Go into the "AddOns" folder.
- In a new window, open the "My Mods" folder.
- The "My Mods" folder should have the "Addonname" folder in it.
- Move the "Addonname" folder into the "AddOns" folder
Start World of Warcraft
Make sure AddOns are installed
- Log in
- At the Character Select screen, look in lower left corner for the "addons" button.
- If button is there: make sure all the mods you installed are listed and make sure "load out of date addons" is checked.
- If the button is NOT there: means you did not install the addons properly. Look at the above screenshots. Try repeating the steps or getting someone who knows more about computers than you do to help.

Translations

When you download a mod, please be sure that the mod is compatible with your translation of wow. Some mods only work on the US versions, while some only work on some of the various European versions. These variations are called "Localizations".

TOC Numbers (Out of Date Mods)

When Blizzard patches WoW, they change the Interface number. This means that all mods will be "out of date" unless or until the author releases a new version for that interface. Some people go into the .toc files and update the numbers themselves, but this is STRONGLY advised against as it will cause problems locating possible incompatibilities addons. When you log into WoW after a patch, you DO NOT have to delete your interface directory. All you have to do is simply tell WoW to ignore the interface numbers and load all the mods anyway. All you have to do is, while at the "character select" screen, look in the lower left corner and click on the "addons" button. A window will pop up listing all your installed mods.

If you look in the upper left corner of that window there should be a box that says "Load Out of Date AddOns". You want to CHECK this box. Now simply go into WoW normally and all your mods should load. As of the 1.9 patch, you will have to do this after EVERY patch/update that Blizzard posts! If you encounter any problems with a mod after a patch, please be sure to let the author of the mod know so they can fix it.

Mac Support

WoW addons are not platformed based. As such, they can be used on either Mac or PC. You can extract both .zip and .rar files on a Mac using StuffitExpander.

Hi, i have added a bar showing the target health. It has the look and feel of the addon, and can be show/hide from the options window. It has mobhealth3 support if found, or show the target % of health if not. Just tell me if you want that bar added to your great addon.

The objective of "Classic" is to focus on rogue/druid energy only. The first original author got lost adding lots of secondary info, and lost many followers. This one here, is supposed to be simple, low memory usage, practical. But congrats on modding your version, we quite sure it works great!

I agree with that, thats why the first thing i coded was the option to disable it, and it is still pretty simple (little code was added), it only adds few bytes more of memory usage and it is more practical for some people (or not, again those can disable it :D).

It has no virus in it Kduv889. The files in the package is safe, I've checked with Kaspersky and Virustotal. Also, the files in the package are of such format that a virus can't even exist in it. I'm sorry to say that you got your virus from somewhere else, but not on Curse.com.

I can confirm what Zyuu said: RFC has no viruses and it can be confirmed from almost 100.000 downloads from curse.com without problems. :)

i DL'd the add on and when i tried to move it to my add ons my computer stopped me and said that it was stopping me from installing a program with viruses.

would it be possible to add some styles ?
i would love to have to option to change the background color, or hide the border, whatever...
very well addon but the style is kinda boring and it doesnt fit with the rest of my UI

Hi Siv,

Would it be at all possible to add an option to show target health bar? I realize you want this addon to be as light as possible but I feel this would make it perfect. If not no worries I will find some kind of HUD that shows health in a small bar, doesn't hurt to ask though :)
