This is good for people like me that are crazy lazy and just wanna get their tireless grinding done while watching tv. Switch to a keyboard while your raiding or doing pvp...etc. Its not hard to switch between them, and I already have the Microsoft Xbox wireless adapter for windows for my wireless headset which I already owned ($19.99 to use my current headset beats the hell out of $80 for another wireless headset).

In short, DONT USE THIS FOR PVP OR RAIDS! DUH! Its great for doing retarded quests that dont require you to hit more then the same 3 buttons anyway and you can always just make one of the triggers act as tab to help you target.

Interesting but youd be at a significant disadvantage when it comes to targeting, PvP or pretty much anything else. I can only see this being useful for solo grinding while watching tv or something.

I completely agree with tehpmd..... The analog stick or the d-pad would be useless compared to the fast scroll of a mouse... This will surely be a waste of time and money... stick with what you know and get good at it. The lack of buttons on the xbox controler compared to the countless keys on a keyboard also puts you at a disadvantage, macros will obviously be needed and a majority of people I know (including myself) are much better players without the use of long-stringed macros. Put a little research into things, an xbox controller with a roll-ball on it may have some use in WoW... but once again, the lack of buttons on the controller itself knocks you down a few pegs in the playing world.

good thing the software is free... considering you can always just connect your 360 controller to your PC and have it work. i guess this just lets you configure the buttons more specifically?

and for anyone who is really interested, the receiver for the wireless controller will cost you $19.99 here in the states.

I think this is a really good idea. Its going to sell in the high tens of times.

Anyways, is there anyone even remotely interested in WoW that hasnt played the game? Well I dont care and hope they all start PvPing.

Seriously, people using this thing are going to be ridiculed to no end.

i dont have an xbox 360 but i think im going to get a controler just for this i think it will be funny playing with a controller even if it sucks for everything but solo farming. will still give me a good laugh now and again and thats worth it alone to me

I actually used to do this with joytokey which lets you bind gamepad buttons and controls to keyboard keys. I bound the left analog to left right up down and right analog to move the mouse. for buttons you are limited but with toggleing you can get a good maybe 12 or so keys bound similar to shift clicking and alt clicking. and you can set analog downpushes to the mouse buttons. after some getting used to it's not bad.

Great News but what about the Mac users??!!!?!?!?!?!??!

I know there are far many more PC users then Mac but we still have far amount of us and connecting wireless controllers is far easier on a mac especially Macpro or macbook pro.

Please do not be narrowed minded in your development approach and support all operating systems.

Well, I HIGHLY doubt that the Xb360 controller will ever support MacOS (at least officially. There are probably those who have done it already...) since it's developed by Microsoft, and it's not very Microsoft'ish to just "give" away things to competitors. Sad, but most likely true :-\

BTW, I don't want to start a Win/Mac war now, but why is it easier to connect wireless controllers on a mac? Most controllers (wireless) come with a "special" reciever to plug into the USB port anyway, and it's really not that hard to install a gamepad or another type of game controller on either platforms AFAIK.

wouldnt it be much easier to use hot keys all located next to each that requir ealesser hand movement to cast spells than moving you hand laong top of keyboard or poiting clicking when in a figh twiht more than on emob i lose time by moving my mouse to select next target or hitting tab i see it as a way to improve my playing ill pwn more once i get this setup borrow an xbox controller from afriend for an hour or two try it out if you dont li k eit thats your choice thts what im doing and if its as good as im reading then ill bu my own controller(not paying 34-40 for acontroller i wont use more than once
