Earth Shield will be getting some "love"

We're certainly aware of the concerns, and beyond that feel that the earth shield is in need of some love. We're not sure this will happen in 2.3, and I'll do my best to keep you posted.

Honor Point reset for 2.3 release?

We have no plans right now to reset the honor points that a player currently has. Stockpile away!

Are Headless Horseman items temporarily epic?

Drysc wrote:

Heh, no, they're permanent.

The event designers wanted to incorporate some item rewards, some decent epic items for completing the end-quest for a holiday event. Something that is likely to continue into other events.

It's certainly easy, puggable, and it gives some decent items. It's a fun event, and the fight to the portal in/around SM is a hoot. Enjoy!

Pain Suppression change rationalized

Nethaera wrote:

The change to Pain Suppression is something that has been a subject of debate for some time. Previously when players wanted it to be castable on others, it was mentioned that 65% of a damage reduction was just too much. This change makes it possible to cast it on others and still get significant benefit out of it. Don't forget that there is also an additional benefit of having Pain Supression in that you get a 40% dispel resist for 8 seconds, if you have Silent Resolve, that's an 65% spell resist while it's in use still.

The threat reduction also can be of benefit for getting that edge off of a DPSer when you need to and at the same, time is still very viable to throw on a main tank if they have enough aggro. We just didn't want it to feel as if the only person that a Priest would be casting it on would be a main tank.

Discipline changes in Wrath of the Lich King will be "significant"

Nethaera wrote:

Please also keep in mind that the Discipline Tree itself is on the radar for further updates, but those are going to be more significant changes that are going to be a part of the expansion changes being worked on. Once there is more to talk about on that end of things, we'll start discussing it.

In the meantime, we are still watching for threads that have good constructive feedback on the various talents.

Why the Hallow's End candy doesn't work for shapeshifted Druids

Drysc wrote:

Shapeshifting is a blanket effect and it breaks other effects as some really weird stuff can happen if we allow unlimited combinations. It's fun for everyone to make weird stuff happen by combining different effects, but we generally don't like to see those types of bugs. With it we can design new effects and not be restricted to what we can do by ensuring everything works together properly and doesn't break something.

The Wrath of the Lich King website was updated again with new Screenshots, and they were even announced this time!

Fix the whole tree then drop a change on the top.

Nobody's going to use Pain Suppression when the last 20 points you've gotta burn to get to it all suck! I'll stick with Meditation and Inner Focus, personally.
