2.1 PTR: 5/3/2007 Patch Updates - Updated 8:45 PM PDT

The 2.1 Test Realm was updated today with another patch. There are quite a number of changes today, and per this post by Kalgan, nearly every single level 70 epic in the game is going to be improved before 2.1 goes live.

Here are just a few of the images of changes, we have more coming. Of note:

  • The Battlemaster enchant has a new glow. Thanks to SunNight for the image!
  • The Mongoose enchant glow has been changed again. Movies of it in action:
  • The Savagery enchant glow has been changed. A movie of it in action:
  • Tier 2 and 3 Blacksmithing weapons have been improved greatly(3-4 dps on the 2h weapons).
  • Most Heroic Badge of Justice items have been upgraded.
  • Some Heroic Boss Drops have been upgraded(some redesigned).
  • Most BoE Level 70 Epics have been upgraded.
  • The Violet Eye Reputation rings for Honored, Revered, and Exalted have been upgraded.
  • Arena weapons(for the most part) have been improved, though some seem to need upgrades still.
  • Most reputations have had their vendor purchasable rewards upgraded.

    Blacksmithing weapons buff = More QQ about warriors = Warriors are gonna get nerfed.

    Yeah, something is weird with the Arena weapons. Especially since the 2h dps values are very inconsistent. I don't think they've been touched in some cases yet.

    umm, that screenshot for arena weapons actually shows a nerf in dps for all of them D=

    The blue post actually says that all the epics will be *updated* not that they will be *improved*. I'm sure that, yes, a lot of them will be buffed, but given Blizzard's usual spin doctoring, I'm equally sure that they mean a lot will be getting nerfed as well.

    So I'm looking at the caster dagger and mace, the mace seems to have better stats, is this for real?

    Lots of images added; more Heroic drops will be added as we get images of them. Suffice to say we'll be busy adding stuff tomorrow. :)

    What i´d like to know is if there are changes to the Karazhan loot. With those changes to craftable, buyable epix, they get even more worthless in msot cases

    Some nice changes coming, but when? and when are they going to make some " clas specific" ie paly weapons? 2hd swords with decent stats that include intel? and dps ?

    Sorry for a bit off topic... looking at the screenshots i cant help but to wonder what is that addon that translates the ratings to actual percentage in item tooltips? Would be really grateful for the name... :)

    as far as i know, the Tier1 BS weapons will be upped abit to, to about 85dps or so, so ive seen on worldofraids.com

    So the rogue daggers got nerfed by about 1 dps on The Gladiator's Shanker and Shiv. This just seems dumb why even change them if ur gonna nerf em 1 dps and raise other items.
