Jewelcrafting 1-300

In The Burning Crusade the profession of jewelcrafting will give us the ability to improve weapons by adding jewels to them. Now Don Leone posted a guide about what you need to bring this ability to level 300.

The current reported stockpile of supplies to get from 1-300 is incorrect. There are recipes that require items not on the list such as Large Opals and Azerothian Diamonds. IT looks like the author chose to combine two different lists that I have seen on the www.worldofwarcraft forums. From my calculations 8 Azerothian Diamonds and 14 Large Opals and 10 Citrine are also needed for the supply list to be complete.

Whats with all the ores? Might just be me but .. .All the regs posted at the items here says bars not ore. Guess this little guide was written a bit fast.

    Raqtor,

All of the ores are for the "Prospecting" skill which is part of Jewelcrafting. Each time you prospect, you eat about 4-5 ores and it'll (hopefully) return a gem. The instructions say that you prospect at the begining to help skill up.

    Rawq,

Going along with that, whoever wrote this more than likely assumed that you would be getting the gems you mentioned from prospecting on the Mithril and Thorium ore. These are the gems that you get from mining that level ore, so it makes sense to me. However, It would be a very smart idea to gather the gems you've mentioned in advance and not leave it up to luck.

    Anyway, happy hunting.
